Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

Fresh Home Mag 1

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

Fresh Home World Market

So here’s the full monty on how you can enter this week:

  • PRIZE: $100 gift card to Cost Plus World Market courtesy of CPWM and Fresh Home Magazine.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FRESH” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since the summer heat means feeling fresh is a rarity these days, why not tell us what you do to freshen up. A nice cool shower to start your day? A tall glass of lemonade when you come in from the heat? Or maybe a quick deodorant swipe or some mouthwash between meetings?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 18th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Cost Plus World Market and Fresh Home Magazine.

With all the heat and humidity this summer, not much is keeping cool or refreshed! AC and thoughts of autumn are the only things keeping me going!

I’M FRESH! And I love love me some World Market – I think I have something from that store in almost every room of my house (and they move from room to room to multitask). What a sweet give away. Oh, and I’m a shower girl. I can’t go to bed feeling dirty even if I took a shower that morning or afternoon; I take another shower or at least wash my feet before bed :)

I’M FRESH! Since I’m a teacher, I don’t really have to do much to freshen up during the summer because it’s my time to play hard. I guess that means it’s okay to be dirty (however, I do still take showers and apply deodorant).

Fresh! I love to freshen up with a dab of perfume and a nice cold glass of wine and curl up on the couch with the dogs (and the cat sneaks in there too) when I get home.

I would love to win. I have never won anything (except those free jade stones with certificates in the 70’s that everybody was getting in the mail) and I could sure use a new coffee table. It would match the new stove I got recently (the only thing new in the house and it was about time I had one that worked, it was from the 70’s and they guys that delivered my new one was flabergasted it still worked since the cord was so dry rotted). I love your site and you have given me the courage to paint an old bed frame in the garage for my grandaughters bedroom. Thank you.

I like to get an iced coffee or a glass of sweet tea! I have found the perfect natural deodorant as well! It’s called The Pits by Bunny Butt Apothecary in Cucumber Tea! My kids love their name! I have tried a lot of natural deodorants and this one works great! It’s been a HOT summer too! I do have to reapply by evening but I had to with an antiperspirant as well! (I’m in no way affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to say these things! I just absolutely love my new deodorant!)

What do I do to “FRESHEN UP” on a hot, blistering, muggy day in Brandon, FL (where there is no seabreeze, or even a breeze for that matter – a landlocked suburb of Tampa)? I make myself a delectably FRESH, fruit smoothie! We live just around the corner from Costco; why do I tell you this you ask? They happen to sell an enormous bag of tropical frozen fruit for just over 10 buckaroos. 2 cups of frozen fruit, 2 cups of juice, and FRESHLY picked mint from my “garden” later, you’ve got a reFRESHing and relaxing beverage/meal at your fingertips. I have one just about once a day during our ridiculous heat wave of summers. Thank you guys for your postings! I just love them to bits!
