Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners.     HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
    I’ll be celebrating while 36 weeks pregnant! So Tums, chocolate cake, and some “Bachelor” on t.v. makes a fab night for me, while the hubby sits next to me rolling his eyes, and commenting on how awful that show is (but really, what a nice guy to watch the horror with me!)

    My husband went out of town this morning…so my two “real” Valentine’s, my 8 year old son and my 3 year old son, and I will be celebrating big time! Take-out from Chick-Fil-A (their favorite) and cupcakes!

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

    We are celebrating Valentine’s Day this upcoming weekend. I surprised my husband with a trip to Las Vegas to see a band he (and I) really enjoy. I made vacation arrangements with his boss for the trip without his knowing about it. I made a card with pictures on it that he had to decipher to figure out the trip. We leave Thursday!

    Happy Valentine’s Day! My husband is in the Army and won’t be home until Thursday so we’re postponing our celebration until Friday. As for today, I have a friend who’s husband is also in the Army and working today/tonight, so we’re going to have a girly evening! Possibly go see a girly movie or just veg out in front of the TV with some goodies to eat :)

    my hubby and i started a tradition when we were dating. since we always do something nice for my birhtday (which is the day before V-day), we have hotdogs and kraft mac n cheese for V-day, and just enjoy a relaxing evening together!

    We were engaged 4 years ago on the 13. So we celebrate valentines on the 13th every year. We got yummy steaks, made risiotto, salad and had a glass of wine. We read our baby girl some sweet stories and enjoyed our time together as a family…put the babe to bed and watched the grammys. Tonight I made a cheese cake for us to enjoy..I can smell it cooking. Happy valentines day!!

    After spending the weekend lecturing me on how V-day is a made up holiday and a waste of money, my husband surprised me with a box of cocolates from a local chocolate shop in town. I will spending tonight cuddling on the couch and eating all of them! ; )

    I’ll be celebrating with my husband, although we don’t really do anything too special. I did bake cupcakes for my office though – red velvet with cream cheese frosting and pink sprinkles. Yum!
