- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PAINT ME A PICTURE!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your favorite piece of one-of-a-kind artwork that you currently own. Maybe it’s a finger painting done by a kid in your life? Something you got on etsy? Or a drawing that you sketched yourself to fill some blank space?

PAINT ME A PICTURE (please)
My current favorite is a newly acquired canvas painting my husband and I found at Goodwill. It’s a cityscape/skyline with a quasi reflection. The thing that draws me to it is the use of color, kind of burnt oranges/red with some teal/blues they melt into the “reflection” really well. $20 well spent.

My favorite piece of art is a print I bought in Paris when I visited in January of 2000. I find the print hysterical because I was produced before the new years eve celebration and the artist had no idea what the fireworks would look like coming off the Eiffel Tower. If you compare pictures from the actual event and the print, you get a good laugh. But I still love the print because it reminds me of my trip to Paris.

My favorite art pieces are the ones from the kids. We have two frames (one for each kid) and we rotate their artwork through them. Right now, we haven’t received our holiday school art yet, so we have art from previous years that I hung onto. :)
