Its the black framed printmaking piece. I went to school at Savannah College of Art and Design and was in a printmaking class. A classmate made this piece and i just fell in love with it! One she got her A on it, i offered to buy it! At first she wanted to just give it to me for free but i told her “hey, we are artists, remember? We have to charge for our work, not just give them away!” So i gave her 10 buckaroos (thats really all she would take)! My first art purchase but still one of my favorites!

My favorite painting is actually two- a pair that was painted by a local artist in the 50’s, consigned at an antique store. They’re classic (and not lewd) nude paintings, and it’s fun to make up stories of how the painter and the subjects knew each other, what their lives were like, etc.

My favorite piece that I currently own is a painting that a friend in New Orleans painted for my family when I was only about three years old.
Tim is an amazing artist and much of his artwork was lost in a fire a few years ago so it’s very special to me that I own one of his pieces.

Right now my favorite piece in our house is a piece that my grandma painted for us… It’s a watercolor painting of the waterfall that my husband proposed at and it hangs in our bedroom.
I’d love to have something custom to go behind our sofa in our formal living room – that space is so empty right now!

My favorite artwork is a set of three literary-based collages. They have old text pages decoupaged right within the images! This is the best as my husband and I met while studying English as a major and now both teach English. Now if only they were the real thing–they are prints. We’ve been wishing for authentic, one-of-a-kind art to grade our new-to-us ranch home!

My favorite piece of art in my house currently is this horse sculpture thing that my sister fashioned out of black wire, and sandwiched between two pieces of glass and had it framed. I love how unique it is, and that it was created by someone related to me! I have no artistic talent. She got it all in the family. :)

My favorite piece of one-of-a-kind artwork was a wedding present from my brother-in-law. He’s an art school student and he drew an amazing graffiti-style picture with lots of different vignettes. It’s hard to explain, but each one meant something to us. It is fantastic, I get so many compliments on it!

We have a couple of really cool paintings by a friend of my boyfriend’s. We live in a boring, white townhouse that we can’t do anything fun to, so it’s nice to have some unique, colorful pieces to spice it up a bit.
