And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

PAINT MY PET! My one year old Boston Terrier, Dexter (yes, named after the serial killer on Showtime), is hilarious. He’s totally stubborn and doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do already. His yawning, little sighs and when he barks in his sleep make my heart melt. And he always finds the coziest spots to cuddle up against me. He also has a morning routine of running to the living room rug and rolling around on it. (it’s hilarious and he’s a total weirdo)

PAINT MY Pet! I would love a painting of my labradoodle, Monty. He has a slight obsession with licking in general – but he gives the best kisses :)

Paint my pet! Can she do two in one portraits? Would hate to leave our new little girl out …

PAINT MY PET!
My 5 pound baby Milo because he snuggles with Mommy every night!

Would love to have our dog Shea painted. What makes her so lovable is that she loves our two year old, and puts up with his trying to ride her like a horse, pull her tail, etc. Shea is the best dog ever!
Andrea says
PAINT MY PET! It would be a tough call! Our two dogs, Lola (a Springer Spaniel with the happiness energy level equivalent to 5 atomic bombs) and Lacie (a Border Collie with 2 different colored eyes and what she calls “a PhD in squirrelology”) are like our two older children in addition to our 6-month old baby boy Tate. I’m not sure I’d be able to pick one! So I’d probably have to buy a second one in addition to the giveaway so as not to play favorites. ;)
CJ Bosso says
PAINT MY PET! Our miniature Labradoodle, Bear. She is the spitting image of a teddy bear. She does many quirky things that make her special to us but a funny one in particular is that when we fill her Kong ball with treats she takes it to her favorite spot and throws it up into the air so that when it bangs on the ground pieces of her treats fall out, she does this until they are out and then she eats them. Cute and smart!

PAINT MY PET!
Since we have a dog (Goldendoodle) and a cat (domestic long haired) it would be a tough to pick only one without feeling that the other was being left out. I wonder if Leslie would be willing to paint the both of them together… Because it’s super cute when they curl up together (and very special since it’s happens so infrequently).

Paint my pet….we have a betta fish…named betta….he has lived with us for 3 1/2 years….we didn’t even know they could live that long! Anyway he’s not a dog but he still wags his tail when he sees us! We love our littly fishy guy!

I’d have to decide between my two cats… not sure how I’d decide… maybe the one who pukes the least in a week? Or wakes me up early the fewest times? Maybe I’ll just flip a coin :P

PAINT MY PET!
My pitbull mix, Lady, is one big lap dog! We found her tied up and living off of insulation underneath one of our rent houses. The owners had abandoned her and she was skin and bones. Maybe it’s just us, but she seems especially grateful to have a home and loving family these days!
Jill says
PAINT MY PET! My dog Maybe should be painted because she has this awesome artsy fringe that hangs from her long black ears!
Kateri says
Paint my pet! I’d have my English bulldog Reggie painted. He rules. He’s beyond obsessed with me and my husband to the point that he breaks out in hives when we go on vacation without him! He’s just the love of our lives.

BONUS QUESTION: … what pet you’d want painted. And while you’re at it, what’s one thing that makes your pet especially lovable, weird, loyal, or just generally fun to have around?
PAINT MY PET! I’d get my miniature schnauzer, Sophie, painted! Sophie is a big troublemaker, curious to the core, and the best nighttime snuggler. She also did her rendition of Burger’s art a couple years back (I believe I shared the photo on that post) and it proudly hangs on my wall in my bedroom! I’m crazy for her!

PAINT MY PET!!
We have a siberian husky who is beyond a handful….Her name is Aila (pronounced a-la) She is has separation anxiety and we call it “bug proofing” (bug is her nickname) the house before we leave…which consist of shutting all the doors, moving the trash can to where she can’t reach it, picking up any food or drink that she may be able to reach (we can’t leave anything on the counter’s or table)….and pull up any blinds she can get to….all this being said she is a really sweet girl, she just really really hates being alone! Needless to say she is our only pet…. sorry thats so long!
Stephanie says

Julie says
PAINT MY PET!
My dog, Tucker, is a the sweetest, smartest dog. He’s a pound puppy I got in college and he turned 13 in April. And just as playful as ever! My husband and I have struggled with having a baby, so Tucker is truly a comfort to us. We love him so much.
Erin K. says
Paint my pet!! I would love a painting of my pup lucy! She is a beagle/italian greyhound/mutt. She has a unique little face that we love so much.
Stephanie T says
PAINT MY PET!
My cocker spaniel is my little sidekick. She helps keep her two “brothers” (also dogs) in line. She is full of personality, that’s for sure!
Cassie D. says
PAINT MY PET! I would love a portrait of my late cat Chanel. I adopted twin orange tabbies when they were 6 weeks old. Coco and Chanel were the most entertaining and loveable fur children I could ever ask for. They got my (now) husband and I through senior year of college, graduate school and moves in two states. About two months ago, Chanel suddenly stopped eating and fell ill very quickly. We hospitalized her, but had no clue what happened until it was too late. Within four days, our six-year old kitty was near-death and an ultrasound showed she had cancer throughout most of her organs. She never even showed a sign of illness until it was too late. Since there are no blood test markers for feline lymphoma, the disease never showed up at her yearly vet visit. We still have her sister, Coco, and it has been quite an adjustment for all of us. I am so grateful to still have her, but we know that she misses her sister terribly. Chanel’s urn sits on the mantle in our living room and I would love a painting of her to go next to it!
Jenn says
PAINT MY PET! More specifically, our yellow lab, named Able. He truly is our first born…we love his sweet snout and would love to have it captured in one of those paintings. :)
Alycia says
Paint my pet! Our dog Lucy is loyal to a fault…she thinks she needs to protect us from everyone and everything. While she can’t be trusted with new people, we know she loves her family more than anything.
Courtney Dozier says
PAINT MY PET! We just rescued our first dog as a soon-to-be married couple (three more weeks!). He is already a member of the family and it’s hard to remember life before Buddy! Would love to have a beautiful piece of art work for him!
Janet Thomas says

Audra S. says

PAINT MY PET!
I have Jersey, a loveable border collie guard dog that is afraid of thunder, his reflection in the mirror, and the sound of dogs barking on TV. Oh, and dryer sheets.
Emily says
PAINT MY PET! Our rescue boxer Chapa would make a wonderful painting! She is is quite the block head – she loves her cat friends, eating tomatoes and icecubes, and sunning on the deck. What a life!

Penny our Lab/Anatolian Shepherd mix (named for the Lost character) is such a ham & also my best friend (besides my husband). She keeps me company on runs, while working outside, or trips to the grocery store/Starbucks. She is ALWAYS happy/smiling. Someday my husband hopes to get her a Desmond… until then, she’s happy being an only child.
Stacy says
PAINT MY PET! I would have my Weim Bella painted, because she is my baby. She has been my rock through some really hard times, so I like to spoil her as much as I can.

PAINT MY PET!
I would get a portrait of my cat Flippy (full name Senor Flippy Flop – a totally obscure Weeds reference helped us name him). The cutest thing he does is his signature “Flip-Flop” move where he flops down on the ground and then flips from side to side. He does it when he wants you to rub his belly, wants to be fed, wants to go outside, etc. It’s adorable :)
Krissy says
Paint my pet! My pitbull puppy, Mondo is the sweetest dog with the most beautiful eyes. He’s working hard to dispel pitbull stereotypes by being terrified of cats and chihuahua. :-)
