And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

PAINT MY PET!
It would have to be Fletcher James, the brindle FAB mix, the youngest of our pack, who showed up in our yard a year ago. He rose quickly to the head of security at the Thompson household and stands guard over the property, statuesque, like a gargoyle. He barks at every deer that dares show it’s face in his line of vision and has been amassing an arsenal of weapons he finds…mainly discarded sunglasses, work gloves and the occasional paring knife. Fletcher James takes his job VERY seriously.

PAINT MY PET! I’d love to have our two Westies painted. Nellie is a bit of a diva and tortures her brother … Scottie puts up with it, most of the time :)

PAINT MY PET!
Without getting too emotional we very unexpectedly had to put our first baby, Tebow, to sleep at just 3 years old the day we came home from the hospital with our brand new baby. It was the happiest and saddest days of my life all at once. We always just try and remember how fun he was and the endless games of catch we would play and would love a painting to hang in our new home so we always have him near by.
Laura says
PAINT MY PET! I’ve been wanting to get a painting my husband’s beloved cat for a while as a Christmas present for him… he’s the most loyal, wonderful cat in the world. (And I don’t usually like cats.)
Brooke says
PAINT MY PET! I have 3 year old (TODAY!) mix….and he’s adorable and I’d LOVE to have his painting done!

Diana says
PAINT MY PET! my siamese boris cracks me up because he loves to dart around the house and play with you, but no matter how seriously he pursues feathers, bugs, or dust, he looks hysterical because of his cross-eyes.

PAINT MY PET!
I have 2 cats and 2 dogs so I feel a little guilty picking just one! That said, my 2nd pup and newest edition, Biscuit, would be the ‘winner.’
He is part Chihuahua and part Something Else. His ears are constant in competition. One is always up; the other always down. But it doesn’t matter which ear, it switches from moment to moment. Truly floppy ears!

PAINT MY PET!I’d have to give it to my dog Oobie! He’s the first dog that we’ve actually had with the kids and he’s won me over from my anti-pet ways. He sure knows how to pull on my heart strings with his puppy dog eyes and crazy energy!
Katie H says
PAINT MY PET! Our dog Maybee is the first dog my husband and I have had together. We love ber because she loves to cuddle and though she is a %0# girl she seems to think she’s a lap dog.
Josephine says
PAINT MY PET!
I would want my both pups painted – McKinely & Zoe. Because they are the most loveable and generally well behaved dogs ever! They are equally hungry for attention and will nudge any available hand they see.
Amanda says
Paint my pet! Her name is Ani and she has been my constant companion for the past 11 years, outlasting boyfriends, apartments, jobs, long-distance moves, you name it! She is as smart as they come and while I am still in denial that she will one day be gone (especially considering she still gets mistaken for a pup), I know that a painting of her would bring me comfort for the years beyond.
Tiffany E. says
PAINT MY PET!
Lucy the beagle would be my muse. I’d have to have a pick of her perched up on the armchair like she’s people. Or curled on top of the couch like she’s a cat.
Melissa says
PAINT MY PET! Our 4-year-old black Lab, Tex, is the biggest baby. He wants nothing to do with chew toys but only prefers stuffed animals and loves to cuddle with blankets and pillows. :)

PAINT MY PET!
Actually, I’d want her to paint my sister’s pets. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for her for awhile, but it’s a little out of my budget right now.
But since we’re on the topic of MY pet, my beloved canine companion Rocky gets so excited, he runs laps around the living room (occasionally crashing into the furniture.) Given that he’s typically the chillest dog ever, it’s quite amusing.
Lauren says
Paint my pet! My sister just left for college and she loves my mom’s dog. I’d love to get a picture done of her for my sister’s dorm room!

Beth says
Paint my pet! Err make that my brother’s pet (since gold fish aren’t really that exciting to paint haha). My bros dog is a big 90-ish pound golden retriever whos a leaner – he’ll lean against you with all his body weight when hes excited to see you so you really gotta brace yourself!
Erin S says
PAINT MY PET!!! I would have my parents dog painted! They rescued him after a bus driver found him after he had been shot in the head (!!). He’s an amazing golden and my parents love him so much. They even refer to him as my brother. I think this portrait would be a really perfect present!
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have my cat Jet painted, he’s a funny cat. We have child locks on our garbage and and other cupboards because he knows how to open them all and get himself some food. But…. we love him anyway! His favorite finds include: crackers and sundried tomatoes.

Paint My Pet!
Bear is a golden/chow rescue with black spots on his tongue. We almost lost him to parvo when we first adopted him 2 years ago and ended up spending a pretty penny to get him well – but he is/was/will always be totally worth it. He loves long walks in our neighborhood (hey ladies!), bananas, and watching “White Fang” with Ethan Hawke (just like his momma), so he can howl at the TV (not like his momma – well, not always). He’s pretty much the man (dog)!
Rebecca M says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have to choose between my mut Samantha, who is the sweetest dog ever, or my pom, Amos, who is afraid of his own shadow.
Molly says
Paint my pet(s)! I have two pugs…Lucy and Slash! One of each color and temperament!

Patti Morton says
PAINT MY PET! Actually pets – Chloe and Tim are French Bulldogs and rule the home. My sister and I are retired and would be very lonely without them. Besides, they are so cute!

Oh my gosh, I totally want to win this contest sooooo bad! I would have my awesome dog, Potter, painted! He’s like a member of our family and a big brother to our 7 month old non-furry son. My favorite thing is when he runs over to our son to check on him every so often. PRECIOUS!
Kim says
Paint My Pet!!! My dog is sooooo serious he makes me laugh. Every time I talk to myself out loud (ok…I talk to him), he gives me this look that says “You know I’m a dog right?”
