PAINT MY Pet! I would have my dog Lucy painted. I love her sooooo much!!!! I work at Dogs for the Deaf(a facility in Oregon that trains Hearing Dogs for people) anyway, I am fostering one of our previous Hearing Dogs who came back to us when her person passed away. She is now a Demo dog for our tours and shows people how she works sounds. Once she retires I will official adopt her. I was told when I said I would foster her that I was going to fall in love with her, but I did not think that would happen. OH boy has it ever. She has such a funny personality. I really cannot think of not having her in my life. When she is happy she sings. We call it rooing. It is so funny. She comes to work with me most days, which makes for a great day. I am always saying that “SHE MAKES MY HEART SMILE EACH AND EVERY DAY!!!”

PAINT MY PET!
I have 2 doggies – a Great Pyrenees and a lab. Both are rescues and are best friends! There’s this one picture of them together, snuggled up and napping, and it’s just so sweet. My pups are my babies. Molly is just the sweetest dog but she is hungry hungry hippo – definitely food-motivated! And Sampson, our Great Pyr, is as stubborn as they come. But even though he’s 140lbs, he thinks he’s a lap dog!
Lauren says
PAINT MY PET! It’d have to be my dog, Guinness, he is just a big (80lb) goofy guy. Plus at age 12, he still has that cute puppy dog face!
Kim S. says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have our cockapoo Biscuit’s portrait painted. She likes to sleep all day on the back of the couch, but if we through a ball she springs into action. She cannot resist chasing tennis balls.
Melissa says
PAINT MY PET! Charlie…our boxer is a “shower creep” as in he creeps into the bathroom while you’re showering and sticks his enormous head into the shower – usually while you have a head full of shampoo and your eyes closed and then he licks your leg or hand …scary the crap out of you. He wants to “drink” the water but usually can’t reach and ends up half in the shower. I know what you’re thinking…just lock the door. We’ve tried that and he just pummels his 85lb body at the door until you let him in.
Kelly says
PAINT MY PET!!! I follow Lesli’s blog and I LURVE her paintings…I would love to capture my Taco Terrier(Chihuahua/Fox Terrier).
Christa says
Paint my pet!
Our pups, Toby & Shelby, are our babies. I’d LOVE to get a painting of one of them (ooh, I’d have to choose a favorite.. does that make me a bad mama?) :P
Kelly says
PAINT MY PET! It would have to be my BFF boxer, Mattie.
Deborah says
Paint my pet! My sweet Jack Russell, Fiona, is the little mother around our house. She keeps the three cats in line, but even moreso, she has been my little protector since I became pregnant.
Kris F. says
PAINT MY PET!! I would love to have a portrait of my maltepoos Monty and Sophie. They aren’t related, but look almost identical. They are my babies!!
Shelley @ Green Eggs and Hamlet says
PAINT MY PET!
Definitely our Boston Terrier, Hamlet. He’s the star of our house and of my (very neglected) blog.
Tracy says
Paint my pet! I would actually give this as a gift to my sister-in-law.
Ashley says
PAINT MY PET!!
I would have my dog Brody painted, a 5.5 year old Yorkshire Terrier. His funniest attribute is newly aquired: after having to have some teeth removed a few months ago, he now has a snaggle tooth that sticks out of the right side of his mouth…giving him a permanent Elvis lip!
Jaime says
PAINT MY PET!
I’d have my 1.5 year old Border collie/blue heeler Murphy painted. Although not sure they can fit his enormous ears onto one canvas!
Katie G says
PAINT MY PET! Our puppy Junebug would be the subject — she’s incredibly cute and smart and loving and I seriously can’t remember how we made it without her wagging tail there to greet us when we get home every day!
CherylM. says
“PAINT MY PET!”
I have a dalmatian/whippet mix who is so smart… one evening my husband and I were putting together a cabinet and it had a million little pieces that our kitten kept batting around and chasing. I told “Patches” to come and babysit her kitty and she corralled “Teddi” into the hallway and then laid down at the entrance and everytime the kitten tried to go past, she would gently either nose her or paw her back into the hallway! She kept at it for over two hours until we were finished!
Rachel says
PAINT MY PET! We have a picture of our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Darby, from our wedding complete with bowtie that would be perfect.
Kate says
Paint my pet! Our rescue mutt Cooper is such a lovable weirdo. One of my favorite things he does is howl like a lone wolf anytime a vehicle with a siren goes by our house.
Brittany says
PAINT MY PET!
Our dog uley (short for Ulysses) does the best run, dive, and rolls around in the grass. It’s the best on hills so he can slide all the way down on his back. He’s always so happy and social! And he loves to lick!! He will lick you head to toe nonstop if you’d let him! He’s our little baby!!
Christy Niebaum says
PAINT MY PET!
We half a half-Dane mix named Lizzie (read: HUGE). Or as we like to call her, Lizzie Lizardo of the Yardo Lizardos. Lizzie knows she is not allowed to get on the furniture, but sometimes we’ll walk into a room and find her sitting her rump (and only her rump) on a chair or one of the couches just like folk (seriously looks just like a person). She always gives us this look like, “Butts don’t count, mom and dad”
Lisa Richardson says
PAINT MY PET! My mini dachshund Willow has more personality than most people! She is clever and bossy and the best cure for the blues a girl could ask for :).
Merris says
PAINT MY PET!
It would be our dog Trout. He a a lab/weimaraner mix and a 95 lb. cuddly lap dog.
Kasey M. says
“PAINT MY PET!”
I’d have my pooch, Hobbs painted. He’s freaking adorable, completely affectionate, and full of personality.
Anne says
PAINT MY PET! My kitties, Izzy-Bee & Ferdie-Brown, are brother and sister and best friends! Love those guys.
Rachel says
PAINT MY PET! We are parents to a 3 year old chocolate lab named Penny Lane. Her many talents include heart-melting snuggle sessions, possessing the most velvet-y soft and floppy ears, and an ability to know exactly when you need a kiss and nuzzle. She’ll also occasionally drop a tennis ball into the shower while you’re in there… just to remind you that she’s there and ready to play :-)
Ashleigh P says
My baby does the same thing with the tennis ball! She will also drop it repeatedly onto your foot if you don’t seem to be paying attention :)
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! I would love my Wheaten terrier painted, since he is like my baby :)
Jill says
PAINT MY PET!
We have a schnauzer/poodle mix named Sullivan…he’s our best little bud, and he keeps my husband company while he works out of his home office all day.
Shannon Summers says
Paint my pet!
Josey is my cocker spaniel and I’d fo sho want a picture of her, I think her best quality is that she knows when to be energetic and lively and when to be patient and cuddly. She’s totally a food beggar though, my fault, I’m sure.
Mackenzie says
PAINT MY PET!!
My little Watson is so weird, he provides me with so much daily entertainment. Love that little weirdo!
Michelle Nilson says
PAINT MY PET! ‘Jabba’ the PUG is the most loyal, lovable pet a person could ask for! Whenever my husband is out of town for business, he protectively stands watch outside the door to my baby girl’s bedroom, giving up the warmth and comfort of his own dog bed for her safety. He’s the BEST!
Christy says
PAINT MY PET! Jellybean, the best cat in the world (who also happens to be my cat) would be a perfect subject. She is the naughtiest creature I have ever owned (her current vice – trying to scratch/tear up the inside of the shades on my prized 1950s teak lamps) and for some crazy reason I love her even more for it!
taryn says
Paint my pet!! I would love a painting of my precious beagle Shooter. He loves to sing to country music :)
Kelsey says
PAINT MY PET….I would have my boxer Josie painted because she is sooo naughty but you can’t help but love her!
Clare says
Paint my pet pug!! If I win this, I will have to flip a coin to see if Keyser Soze (our pug, named after character in Usual Suspect) will be the subject or if I will be generous and have my “nephew” Sandford (Boston Terrier named after George Sandford of Sandford and Son) be honored. Crossing fingers and toes and paws!!
Olivia says
PAINT MY PET! i have the awesomests two dogs in the world (shirley the pit bull and argon the labradoodle)–obviously, burger rounds out the top three.
Tanya says
Paint my pet! Our Standard Poodle, Bridget melts our hearts!
Carrie C says
PAINT MY PET! I would love to capture my dog, Molly’s, quirkiness. She is aloof and independent and oftentimes looks at me like I am a nutter! She is perfect in her own way;)
Abbie says
PAINT MY PET!
I would love to have my in-laws dog Bogey painted. He died last year and he’s still very much missed.
Kelly says
PAINT MY PET!!
I would have my black cat, Angus, painted. Before we got Angus, I never thought I could be a cat person, but I love him because he is a very social and demonstrative cat– he is always around and friendly to anyone who comes to visit.
EmilyThompson says
PAINT MY PET!
…my pet had stopped sleeping through the night the past month or so, and we could not for the life of us figure out why. Until my husband caught Coleman the WonderDog slurping coffee out of my coffee cup on the nightstand one afternoon! Turns out Coleman’s been getting his afternoon jolt when we weren’t looking. What a junkie.
Stephanie says
PAINT MY PET! I would love my pit-bull/boston terrier to be painted! He’s got a good 1/4 worth of underbite going on that he gets his lip stuck in on a daily basis and I’d love that sweet face captured forever!
Angela says
PAINT MY PET! I would love a painting of our fur-baby Roxy, who had to have surgery on her spine a couple months ago. She is recovering great and is back to her normal hyper self!
Melanie says
PAINT MY PET!
I would have my sisters two dogs painted for a Christmas gift.
Lori H. says
PAINT MY PET! I don’t know how I could choose between my two beagles, Clancy and Posey! I guess I’d have to find a way to have them both immortalized on canvas! :)
Kaci Kennedy says
PAINT MY PET!
AMY C says
Paint my pet Callie! Callie is a hyper white poodle who is just too fun! She runs laps around the house just to try and get energy out.
Tara says
PAINT MY PET…It would be hard to choose between my four pets, who have wowed me with their ability to adjust to life with their new 3 week old human baby, so…I may have to opt out and have my sister’s cat painted as a gift for her.
Marla says
PAINT MY PET!!!
Hard to say who I’d get done. I just got a new terrier mix who is so ugly he’s cute, so it’s tempting to immortalize him. But then I have me two sweet cats to consider too… it would be a very hard choice.
Allison says
PAINT MY PET!!
My dog Lucy (german shepherd-terrier mix, like a mini shepherd). I’ve never heard a dog make so many unusual noises! She loves to talk!
Karen says
PAINT MY PET!
Lily is my doberman shepherd. I’ve never been much of a dog person, but she has stolen my heart. She was so tiny when we rescued her. We had no idea what her breed was or how big she’d get. She’s so sweet and loving… but such a diva. She’s the only dog I’ve ever known who sighs in disgust when she doesn’t get her way. LOL
