And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

I’d go with my bichon/shish tzu mix Lily. She’s a fluffy, white ball of fluff and makes the perfect lap dog…when she’s not waking my hubby and I up in the middle of the night barking at…well, we can never quite distinguish the threat that she felt the need to wake up the house for. But we’ll take her at her bark that she scared them away ;)
Love this giveaway ;)

My once-in-a-lifetime dog, Whinny, fell suddenly ill and died last summer. She had been my college graduation present, and she was definitely this woman’s best friend. At the time, I was pregnant, and it was not the time to get a new pup. So, I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, last week, the right puppy came along. A friend found her at the shelter. She is four months old, silly, cute, and loving. We’ve named her Alice after Snuffalupagus’ sister on Sesame St because she looks like a 7 lb muppet. My 10 month old human daughter loves her and will pat the ground and giggle for Alice to come and play. Alice has filled a void that was even bigger than I had realized it was. Now, our family is complete.

PAINT MY PET! I have a loveable border collie/poodle. Black and white and curly all over. And also an underwear eating, retainer stealing, book ripping beast who incites riots at the dog park.
Heather says
PAINT MY PET! When he was in college, my boyfriend had a black lab puppy that he had to giveaway for obvious reasons (who gets a dog in college?!?!). But he loved that dog and to this day Im pretty sure he measures everyother dog to James-Thomas Sawyer-Tiger Ford Brown (yes, that’s the dog’s actual name).

Emma says
PAINT MY PET!! I’d have Fiona, our pet dog painted. She’s a cock-a-poo and was the sweetest dog ever. I loved coming home from college and she’d sleep on my bed with me, all curled up in the crook of my legs. it was so sweet. and even when she got pretty old, we always referred to her as a puppy. She had the best personality. February will be a year since she’s passed. Definitely one of a kind and the sweetest, happiest dog ever!!

Emily McClure says
PAINT MY PET!! I have the most adorable, quirky, hilarious Golden Retriever!! She is sassy, energetic, and lovable all in one gold cute ball. Even when she’s naughty… she looks up at you (while still chewing on said naughty item), wrinkles those cute eyebrows and says in her swedish accent (because thats what we believe she sounds like in people talk) “you don’t want to yell at me, look how cute I am” and you can’t help but laugh!
Julie McWilliams says
PAINT MY PET! I would have our German Shepard Buddy painted. He passed away a few years ago and we still miss him. He was the sweetest dog ever.
Caroline says

“PAINT MY PET!”
I would gift this to my sister-in-law for her dog, Jaxx. He is a big, cuddly black lab and the strangest thing about him is that he got swimmer’s tail last year. I guess that’s a common, yet not well known ailment of dogs who swim for the first time as an adult.
Kendall says
PAINT MY PET!
We have a golden retriever named Hudson who will be 3 next month. He lays on his back and bites his nails. When we tell him to stop, he puts his paws over his face like he’s hiding because he knows he shouldn’t bite his nails. So cute and human-like.
Amy says
PAINT MY PET! I’d get a portrait of Dixie, the sweetest dog ever (RIP).

PAINT MY PET! I’d get a painting of our Kitty, Basil. He’s sickly, demanding, and more than a little evil… but gosh we love him. Our house may be the perfect example of stockholm syndrome in action.
Brittany says
Paint my Pet! I’d love to have my sweet pup, Wrigley, painted! He has been my best friend for the last 10 years and after living 1,000 miles away from family, he was the one constant and warm welcome everytime I walked through my door. Priceless.

Our family dog Hunter. A siberian husky and an “old soul”. He sheds like there’s no tomorrow but he’s just a darling pet. I must say, he was properly potty-trained.
Jeannine says
PAINT MY PET!
Baxter’s love of children is what makes him extra adorable to us. My heart almost bursts when he lays down to let a child pet him. He seems to know that he needs to be gentle and low around little ones. It’s so cute to watch.
Becca says
PAINT MY PET!! I would, without a doubt, have my dog Hadley painted. She’s my best (canine) friend and she tends to smile when being photographed which makes for some funny pictures!!!
Tracey says
PAINT MY PET!! I would want our dog Freckles painted. We rescued him almost a year ago and still has some puppy issues like potty training and running away. Frustrating, yes but he’s so sweet and loves everyone.

Lola (my husband’s cat) is a special animal…special in the stares blankly into corners, runs in to most obstacles head-on, and disapproves of pretty much all other cats (including her own reflection).
lindsay says
PAINT MY PET! I would love a portrait of Lola our 7 month old goofy great dane! She spends her free time galloping around the house/yard with out 20 month old son Fenix. =)

Paint My Pet!
I would love to have a painting of our dog, Cocoa. She’s a sweet 10 yr old Chocolate lab who has had the patience of a saint growing up with 3 boys pulling her tail & hanging all over her :) She is now completely blind, but has smartly adapted (barking at the bottom of the porch steps so we can guide her back up & inside is one example). So she deserves a portrait!
Nate says
PAINT MY PET! My dog Pongo, who never fails to put a smile on my face, even after a long day of work.
Marianne says
Paint my pet! I would have to choose between my chihuahua and my horse! Not sure which one!
Kristin says
PAINT MY PET! My husband and I are always saying how we need to get our dogs portraints painted (we’re quite partial but we think they have the cutest faces). We have two golden retrievers, so I couldn’t possibly pick between the two. Maybe she could do both in one painting? :)
Stephanie L. says
Paint my pet! We don’t have any kids yet, so our dog Zooey is our fur-baby. She’s spoiled rotten and I would absolutely love to have a painting of her to hang in our hallway!
holly young says
PAINT MY PET! Our dog Dublin is our only pet & she has a lot of personality for sure. She is awesome with our little girls & still acts like a puppy even though she is 6.
SCB says
Paint My Pet! My chocolate lab Grizz was H-E-double-hockey-sticks on 4 legs. He’s eaten furniture, molding and completely blew off obedience training the FIRST time around. Now he’ll be 2 years old in December and he can now be found draped over my feet (SNORING) or trailing behind me whenever I walk around. He’s my little Grizzly Bear and I would love his beautiful mug on canvas.
Thanks!

PAINT MY PET!
Our cat, Jinni. She is a tortoise-shell calico with a white muzzle, but then half of her face is black and the other half is orange. It’s a pretty neat effect!
She was also at the humane society (in a small cage with multiple cats) for NINE months before we adopted her, which had been her entire kittenhood. She has a very definite “nurturing mother” personality now and gets along great with ALL animals, and I can imagine that she warmly welcomed every new, frightened cat that joined her shelter cage.
Kristal says
PAINT MY PET! My labradoodle started a trend in the neighborhood. Everybody thought she was so cute and now there are 4 more in the hood. She has more people friends than I do. She also jumps through a hoopla hoop among other tricks.
