PAINT MY PET!
I’ve had my cat, Yoda since I was 11 years old. She was born underneath my bed!!! She is now at the wise age of 16 (17 in April). She’s just been diagnosed with hyperthyroid disease and has to be given a dose of medicine twice a day… but I’ve tricked her into LOVING medicine time! I crush the medicine up and sprinkle it on top of her wet food. She even knows when it’s almost medicine time and starts bugging me for wet food about 10 min before 7:30am/pm!
I also love her because she’s so vocal (as siamese tend to be). I sit there and have ‘conversations’ with her and she always responds. And even though she’s practically blind (can always see shadows), she always knows where to find me (and her food, of course). She’s also a bit cross-eyed! How cute?!
AAAND (this is gonna turn into a novel), she’s so young for her age. The vet says that she looks like she’s only 12 years old! And she’s also still very spunky for her age. Yoda is the cutest, and I even have her tattooed on me! https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/4337_77609714086_6631123_n.jpg

PAINT MY PET! I would have one done of my dog Raz. She is an adorable corgi and australian cattle dog mix who is pretty gosh darn smart. She has a wonderful personality and is hilarious. My boyfriend and I call her adventure dog and her “funny five minutes” are always my favorite: she runs around like a maniac for no apparent reason. It is hard to describe how truly blessed I am to have her. She is crazy but very cuddly and smart. :)

Paint my pet! My little studio mate and dog, Achilles is who I would want painted. He is a great napper and car watcher during the day! Sits on the window sill watching cars for hours, without even a bark!

PAINT MY PET! I would have a painting done of my beloved Otis. At nearly 14 years of age he is my loving, grumpy old man. He is the first dog I’ve ever had, and he knows me better than most. I love him dearly. Plus, he knows the difference between speak and whisper. Yes, my dog can whisper!

“PAINT MY PET!”
Our Baby is our dog Gigi. She is half chocolate lab, half springer spaniel. She is the best dog. Never before have I seen a dog be SO excited when you come home. She is literally wagging her tail so hard and fast, that her whole body wags. It’s the perfect way to get home from work, or running errands, a super happy being meeting you at the door. This is a great give away for an animal lover!

We have 2 dogs (Allie and Libby), and a cat (Git’er Done…Git’er for short), but I think I’d have a picture of our lab/border collie (Allie) painted. She is super smart and so sweet. I swear she speaks english!
Danielle Blake says
PAINT MY PET!
My kitty Emma. She’s a total weirdo. She’s what we call a ‘dog-cat’. She’s completely attached to people to the point of neurotic. She’ll also play fetch on occasion.

PAINT MY PET!
Stella is a black lab mix that came from a shelter in MO six years ago. At the time I was fresh out of college and had no idea what I was getting into and she was 9lbs of squishy lab puppy. She is the best because she is hilarious and smart. I swear she understands english. Everyone who meets her is charmed by her gentle calmness. She went to work with me every day and when I left my job (in a Congressman’s office) to go back to graduate school they were definitely sadder to see her go than me. As a result, she has continued to go into work there two days a week even though I left three years ago! The congressman is particularly fond of her.

Paint my Pet! Our chocolate labra-mutt Kona is the most awesome dog ever. He was there for us following the loss of our daughter – he sat next to us shared many cries and literally howled out loud right along with us…and after our son was born, he watched over him like a hawk and now they are inseparable! He is our best friend and we love him so much! And, he just turned six too :)
Annie says
Paint my pet!
I literally just asked some friends today if any of them could paint my pooch. Fate? I hope so!
I’d have my lovable Boston, Mugsy, painted. He is an all around snuggle bug who “oinks” when he’s happy and has the cutest snore ever.
Maegan says
Paint my pet! I would have our golden retrievers Steve and Kimble painted…these two will never be Rhodes scholars but if there were an award for most excitement contained in a furry body, they would win!
K.E. says
PAINT MY PET!
We love our 5-year old Puggle in spite of herself. A puggle is a pug-beagle mix, and according to USA Today the most highly “returned” breed of all time. (Sad face!)
She sheds like crazy, barks at everything. We have a list of 36 items she doesn’t like, which means she barks her cute little head off at them. Things like the coffee maker, foil, salad tongs, the vacuum, my blowdryer, mirrors, shadows and reflections, the oven (yes, just generally hates the oven), the dishwasher, people walking or driving in our subdivision – they don’t even need to be on our street – she will bark at them two streets away! Her new thing is barking at commercials – she especially hates the little bee in the allergy commercial.
BUT… given all of her craziness, we just love her. We love how she waits until we are both in bed to snuggle under the covers, we love how she snores (loudly), and how she chases bunnies in her sleep. We love her sleepy yawns and how she won’t get out of bed in the morning. We (kind of) love her stinky dog breath, and how she tries to eat the water out of the sprinkler…she actually broke the sprinkler this summer from biting at it…
But don’t worry we aren’t “those neighbors” with the crazy dog. Because our next door neighbors have a puggle too! They stare at each other from sunroom door to sunroom door and bark under the fence at each other… they have a love-hate relationship.
We have a love-love relationship our puggle, Maddy. She might be the biggest pain in the butt dog alive… but she is special, she is our pain the butt! We would love nothing more than to memorialize her cuteness with some doggie art!
PS – LOVE your blog!

Paint My Pet!
I’d probably have my Chihuahua mix, Molly, painted. She is 16 and we keep waiting for the day we go check on her and she has gone to doggy heaven. I’ve had my little girl since the first year out of college-she’s just always been there. She was my first very own pet, and it will be strange when she’s gone. Anyway, I’d love to have her beautiful face immortalized in a professional painting. :)

Paint My Pet!
As not to play favorites, we’d have to let the artist choose between our adopted one-eyed sort-of-beagle “Barney” and our Katrina rescued one-leg-shorter-than-the-other cat “Tipitina”. As you can imagine, they are both full of personality!
Jackie B says
PAINT MY PET!! Please?
I’ve had four pets, all Shelties. It would be extremely hard to choose one to be painted, which means I would have to get all four! My first dog, Diamond, would always cuddle up in the bend in my legs. The second, Lily, would bark whenever somebody high-rived. Clara and Oakley, my current dogs, are hilarious. Clara is a little trouble maker (I like to think she takes after me) and Oakley prefers to lay in Clara’s bed and have his belly rubbed.

PAINT MY PET! My son would love a painting of our Australian Shepherd named Rocket. He is a snugly, lovable dog.

Danielle says
“PAINT MY PET!” and the pet I’d want painted is my sister-in-law’s chihuahua Chili. He passed away in his sleep at 17 years old (human years) this past Spring and it was so very hard on her so I have a wonderful photo of Chili that would make a great painting and a wonderful memory for her!
Brianne says
Paint my pet, please. I have mutts, a lab mix and a golden mix. They are best friends and my big lab pup likes to walk my golden pup with the leash.

PAINT MY PET! Charlie is a crazy schnauzer/beagle.. . a schneagle? Anyway, he loves to howl at every.single.siren that goes off. Fortunately for him we live in a town that has daily sirens (still haven’t figured out what they all mean). . so he gets to howl a LOT!
