And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?
Somebody turned six last week around here. And his name rhymes with Schmurger (video evidence to come on Young House Life – we just have to upload it). PAINT MY PET! My 12 1/2 year old golden retriever has OCD for tennis balls! Especially new ones. He comes flying if he hears you pop the top of a can. He can’t get enough of the smell and will stalk you if you don’t give it to him. That’s one of the many reason why I love him.

PAINT MY PET! My 2 dogs.
Rossie K says
PAINT MY PET! I would love to have a portrait of our rescued shelter pup, Lucy! We say she’s a BeaBasseDor (Beagle, Basset, Labrador) but we’re really not sure. She’s our first child and she smiles with her teeth whenever we come home. It looks like she’s snarling but we know she is just so happy to see us!
Morgan O. says
PAINT MY PET! My Maddie. She is the light of my life. I adopted her when she was palm of my hand size and I have adored her since.

PAINT MY PET!
We’d have our dog, Dodger, immortalized in colors. He’s a rescue from Brooklyn who spent the first two years of his life chained to a radiator. He now resides in West Virginia, where he patrols the yard, barks at kitties, and ‘smiles’ at all the other people and doggies that take walks by our house.

PAINT MY PET!
I’d have my cat, Ernie painted.

PAINT MY PET!

Missy says
I would love a portrait of Tess my 12 year old black lab. Her hearing is fading, and she doesn’t move as quickly as she used to but she’s still the best dog ever!
Holly says
PAINT MY PET!
Our ‘mixed-nut’ dog, Hudson, is our pick for the perfect portrait! Although a lab mix he prefers to stay inside, loves to alert everyone of anyone and anything in or around a 20 yard radius of “his” yard and adores all of his “babies” (toys). He’s just so cute and we love his smile, he’s our baby!
Annah Kirkley says

This would be a perfect gift for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They have adorable pups and LOVE them.
Holly says
PAINT MY PET! My chihuahua/beagle mutt that I adopted from the pound is named Riley. We call her a “person dog” because she gives hugs and loves to jump on the bed and lay just her head on the pillow just like a human. She is a cutie patootie and we would love to have a portrait of her.
Julie says
PAINT MY PET!
Our Labrador already constantly stares at photographs of herself around the house – so we’d love to give Abbey a professional portrait to gaze at as an upgrade. She knows she’s pretty! I think it would find a nice home above her dog bowl. :)
Liz says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have our little shelter dog, Brewster, painted. We love our hound dog Brew. No kids so he is our baby and he plays the part perfectly!
Sarah D says
PAINT MY PET! Its a tough decision as to which one I would choose but I think my dog Rodney because he loves the camera! He is the goofiest dog I have ever met and everyone who meets him becomes smitten with him. Its the patch on his eye and his pink snout that does it!
Kate Rogers says
PAINT MY PET….My husband may not agree (the cat is his baby) but I would love a painting of our 7 yr old Vizsla, Stabler Reed. SR came into our lives a little over 2 yrs ago and was a complete comfort during the hardest time of our lives despite being totally neurotic.

Paint my pet! We have two very loveable dogs. One is a Cockapoo- Carter (whom we call Mr. Carter or when we’re being cute–we tend to rhyme it with Carter-barter). Don’t ask questions. The other is a cocker-beagle mix, Murphy. She’s a sassy lady whom we love oh-so-much. We would likely spring for the second painting so they can show some sibling love on the wall :)
Kelli says
PAINT MY PET! I would actually gift this to my mom who recently lost her beloved Sofie, a Beagle-Dachsund mix. Sofie was such a sweet loving dog and she passed at a young age, definitely too soon. I know my mom would treasure a special portrait of her.
Kristi F says
Paint my pet! It would be hard to pick between my two dogs. I think I’d have to pick my American Eskimo-Chihuahua-Lhasa Apso because she is so different looking. It would go in my babies nursery.
Anne says
PAINT MY PET! I have the cutest dog in the world. Seriously, she’s a white german shepherd (wait for it) CORGI! Long GSD body and short little legs. Cutest little happy corgi face.
Emily Reis says

PINTE MY PET! I would have my sweet Maisy Belle painted. In the morning after she comes in from taking care of business, she gets a little treat. Even though she is 12, she gets so excited to get that treat that she scrambles toward the dining room rug with it every time. You’d think it was covered in bacon! It makes me smile every day!
Lisa A says
HaHa! Make that PAINT MY PET!

PAINT MY PET!!
there are so many silly things about our pup (lucca) that I would not even be able to list them all. one thing–we call her lucca bear because she has many bearesk qualities! she’s the best!
Sara says
PAINT MY PET! Our English mastiff, Samson, just turned one and I’d love to have a portrait of him painted…he’s such a big, loveable baby!
Kathy says
PAINT MY PET! Narrowing it down, the pet I’d want painted is out cat Charlotte. Charlotte is at the awkward stage where she is as queenly as a full grown, adult cat — until she goes into kitten mode and runs away at full steam, only stopping to make sure you will follow. Every night when I go to bed, she comes from where ever she is in the house and jumps up, snuggles in, and purrs herself to sleep.
