And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

Paint My Pet, Please! I would have one of our two sweet dachshunds painted. They couldn’t be more dear to us!
Courtney Alisa says
PAINT MY PET!! I’d have my absolutely adorabe Shorkie puppy, Jake painted. He’s my parent’s dog, so I only see him when I go home for the weekends, but when I do see him, he freaks out until I sit down and pet him. It’s a nice welcome home :)
Linda says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have our first animal rescue dog, Indy, painted. He died six years ago and we miss him terribly.
Christine C. says
Paint my pet! I love my Cornish Rex like she is one of my children.
Ana C. says
PAINT MY PET!! I would have our boxer/lab mix, Satchel painted. He’s a 65 pound lap dog and the best nap buddy that ever was.
Katherine Hatch says
PAINT MY PET!
That’d have to be our rescued Chihuahua, Chili. We lovingly refer to her as our ‘puppy daughter’.
Amanda B says
PAINT MY PET! I’d love to have my dog Guinness painted. Guinness is particularly special because she will chase her tail on command…and I trained her to do random tricks by using a tennis ball instead of food. That’s how much she likes to play fetch.
Courtney says
Paint my pet! I would want my first “child,” a lab/border collie mix, painted. She’s just a big weirdo who thinks she’s human. If you ask her if she wants to go to school, she’ll get excited and run to the door! No idea why. She also tells on herself when she does something bad, which is hilarious.
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! Would love a painting of Zoe, our 3 year old puggle!
Liz R. says
PAINT MY PET! Our English bulldog Lennie has a staring problem. On walks, he likes to sit and watch anyone until they leave his eye line. It’s rather awkward for us because we have to stand there too like a couple of creepers.
Mari says
PAINT MY PET! Earl Gray Jr is my 15 year old cat that I adopted right after I graduated from college. He and I have moved together 7 times, he was with me before I met my husband and has put up with having a toddler around the house. He is getting older now and having health problems so a painting would be a lovely way to remember my long time friend.
Shanna says
Paint My Pet…Reese, our yorkie
He can’t control his licker!
Alexis says
PAINT MY PET!!! My boyfriend was a paramedic during the storm and found our dog, Saint, wandering the street in the months following Katrina. He has been as much of a blessing to us as we were once to him.
Erinn says
PAINT MY PET! My weimaraner Lula is a 60 pound lap dog!
Kara says
Paint my pet!
I would love a painting of our American Bulldog Mona…she is such a big ol 90 lb sweetheart.
meerkate says
Please PAINT MY PET! Brady is super friendly and fun-loving! He needs some special attention–he has been a little sad since the new baby has taken some of his attention and affection quota.
Emily H says
PAINT MY PET PIXIE!!! My sweet little girl Pixie is a chi-poo chihuahua poodle mix. She could have a lot of fun playing with burger. She chills at home with two kitties, and is the perfect lap dog.
Jen B. says
PAINT MY PET! We just adopted a 7 month old Chocolate Lab…and we already love her like a child. She’s awesome :)
ahren foster says
PAINT MY PET!! My weim, Moose. she is the silliest dog I have ever met. She makes us so happy!
Lauren says
PAINT MY PET! We got our dog Lucy at the beginning of our marriage and she was always more like our first baby than a dog:)
Sarah says
Paint my pet!!!! Would love to see my Charlie (8 year old cavalier king Charles spaniel) like this!
Kaytie says
PAINT MY PET! Our new beagle puppy, Duke, full name is Duke Barks-A-Lot, aka “Smoochie” has brought our family (consisting of me, the husbando, and our ol’ lab, Dallas) together. Even though we catch him all the time trying to dig to China, we love how spunky he is and how much more active we have been forced to become. Plus who could resist his long ears and deep guttural puppy baying at midnight :)
Beth says
PAINT MY PET! I’d paint my mom’s favorite cat, Chester.
Sarah C. says
Paint my pet! Our sweet 3 y/o border collie/lab mix is absolutely our “first child”. Nothing makes her happier than a day out with mom and dad…focused around her! Dog park to Farmer’s Market (lots of pats and adoring gazes from her fans), to the beach for hours of ball chasing and swimming and then home to a rinse and a good brush out. She is high energy and it’s worth every minute we have spent training her!
Lindy says
Paint my pet! My beagle mix, pound puppy Mr. Flash.
Kelly V says
PAINT MY PETs! Wouldn’t it be interesting to have 2 photogenic boston terriers, 3 colorful chickens, and one cute black kitten!
Natasha says
Paint my pet……
I would live to have my kitty captured. I had her for almost 16 yrs and she passed away a little over a week ago : ( it would be a great tasteful way to keep her memory with me.
Mandy H. says
Paint my pet!
I’d love to have a painting done of my orange tabby cat, Dougal. He’s a talkative guy, and his favorite thing to do is burrow under the comforter and sleep.
Courtney says
Paint my Pet!! I’m not sure if I could choose which of our two fur babies I would have painted! Should I pick Preston, the troublemaker corgi mix who can jump two feet off the ground in an effort to nab things off the counter and/or lick your face? Or Sensei, the world’s gentlest, sweetest, smartest lab/terrier mix?
Andrea Tooley says
PAINT MY PET! My dog Colby can tell time. Every night at 10 pm he tells us that it’s bedtime.
MK says
PAINT MY PET! Our only child, er pet, is a Small Munsterlander named Stella. There are so many things to love about her but perhaps her best trait is that she loves to cuddle!
Elizabeth Anderson says
Paint my pet! Actually, paint my dad’s cat, cakes, who passed away last month. It would mean the world to him, she was his best girl.
Jennifer says
PAINT MY PET!
Our dog Charlie, is our baby. He is a cavalier king charles spaniel. We fell in love… and then at 6 months, he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder which meant he was in a lot of pain – and would not be able to continue to live without brain surgery. We were very lucky to have the specialist nearby to help us with the surgery. Needless to say, that year we did not go on vacation.
However, we feel very, very priviledged to have him as our dog – He has brought a lot of love to us and our friends and family.
While he now has a bit of nerve damage and can have some uncomfortable sensations when he gets very excited, he generally lives a very happy and healthy life.
He will be turning 9 next month!
Christen says
PAINT MY PET! Captain is a corgi/dachshund mix- he’s a Boss on stumpy legs!
Megan says
Paint my pet! My dog, Sprocket eats ants, flies, mosquitoes and beetles. Our home is pest-free!
Allison B. says
Paint my pet!
I’d have a portrait done of my black lab mix, Shady. Sherry would like that her full name is “Slim Shady” because when we rescued her she was very skinny and she had a “shady” background. ;)
Taylor says
PAINT MY PET! We have three 4-legged pets, but my pup would be the painted one. He’s loyal, fiercely protective of us all but kind and patient too. He’s big and snuggle-worthy, always always happy to be with us, and eager to clean up any food messes — thus eliminating my need to clean the floors often. If I ever win the lottery I’m going to clone him!
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! My boxer Athen wiggles her whole butt when she tries to wag her nubbin of a tail!
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! I would love a portrait of my adorable shorkie, Sadie! I continually tell her that she is the “best dog ever”! Although I seriously doubt she considers herself a dog, since she is just another member of the family!
Sue J. says
PAINT MY PET! I’d love to have my schnoodle Molly have her own special artwork.
Corrin says
Sherry, John and Burger – Paint my Pet!
I’d love my 1 year old Siamese furbaby painted! William was a stray that found his way into our home and hearts! His big personality keeps our days exciting – whether its his very, very(!) early morning calisthenics on our bed (usually on my husband’s pillow!), his love for MY morning cereal (a constant battle of wits that usually ends with me eating standing up) or his insistence on carrying his toys around in his mouth like a puppy dog! We love him!!
Jen says
PAINT MY PET! I’d have my golden retriever Sammy painted. He’s an all around awesome dog… amazing with children, easy to walk, listens very well and thinks he is a 100lb lap dog!
ashley says
PAINT MY PET!
We have a cat and dog but I would choose my dog (don’t tell me cat!). He is just absolutely hilarious and I love that he knows his left paw from his right, people love it!
Kate says
PAINT MY PET! I would like my poodle Phoebe painted. I adopted her almost a year ago, and she is the love of my life! I’d love to honor her with a fabulous piece of art!
Ashley C says
PAINT MY PET! My baby son, (Biscuit) reminds me of your Burger in so many ways! He’s a 2 year old Shih-Tzu that lights up my world. He loves staying in bed while I’m trying to make it, getting really excited and going on running rampages, and is a complete cuddlebug. I’d love to have a painting up of him in our new place! ;)

PAINT MY PET!
we have two dogs and i’m not sure i can choose between them for a painting! jake & capone are our babies. we’d have to get both of them done. :)
Alyss says
Pretty please, paint my pet! Diogy is a mutt with a heart of gold and showed me that, yes, I am a “dog person” after all.
Kari H says
PAINT MY PET! I’d love my rescue beagle Dolly painted! She’s terrified of cameras so a painting would be a better way to immortalize her. Dolly ‘snuggle snorts’ in her sleep when she’s happy. It’s a cross between snoring and a deep sigh.
Christy says
Paint my pet!! I would live to have my 2 border collies painted. What makes them perfect for our family is although each dig is very unique we all love each other in the end!
heather says
PAINT MY PET! I’d get my lovely dog Sadie painted. She’s a 90 pound german shepherd malamute cross. She has been with us through the loss of a parent, a major health debacle for me, and now she’s getting me out for walks during my pregnancy. When she was only 2 and still very energetic, I was recovering from my surgery and she would wake up for a walk with my husband, then come back into bed with me until I woke up. Then she’d lay on my feet on the couch until a friend would come over to check in on me. She kept watch and looked after me when I most needed her company. She also slept next to my father in law when he was in his last days and used to walk my him to and from the bathroom at night, making him feel safer and helping him sleep better.
I have tonnes of funny, cute stories, but she’s also provided huge comfort to us and our extended family when we’ve needed it.
