PAINT MY PET! My first dog, Grace, that I saved my allowance money to adopt from the Humane Society as my 10th birthday present (to myself)! She had the sweetest puppy dog eyes and loved going for long walks. We had to say goodbye to her the day after my wedding and I’ve missed her everyday since – Would love an awesome painting to decorate my new home with the best dog I’ve ever had. What a cool idea!

It would definitely be of our lab Gauge, he is such a goof! Last week he took 18(!!) ears of corn from the garden and ate them. all. I guess that is what we get for not feeding him on schedule.

PAINT MY PET! My beloved dog Murphy was not only my companion, friend and guard dog but my travel buddy for 15 years. I rescued him when I was in grad school from a local animal shelter in Orlando. As I was filling out paperwork to bring him home, a vet tech came out and told me that the dog in my possession was scheduled to be euthanized and she had just gone to find him. I named that cute little brown and white Sheltie/Shepard mutt Murphy after my favorite TV show Murphy Brown (am I dating myself)?
In 2006 I got married and Murphy got two beagle brothers and in 2009 a real brother named Alex. Before my husband and I met, his Mom had paintings done of Rocky and Buddy Beagle. I would love to have a painting of Murphy to hang next to them.

“Paint My Pet!” I would love my cat ‘Butters’ painted. I adopted him along with 3 friends my senior year of college and due to living arrangements I am the one who ended up keeping him. 5 years later he has been through graduate school, 3 moves, and a marriage! He has converted my husband to a ‘cat guy’ and entertains us daily!

I’d have my fabulous Mr. Mason’s portrait done. He’s the friendliest awesomest snuggliest bichon on the block. (and that’s not just hyperbole. We live in NYC and there are seven known bichons on our street) he loves squirrel chasing, off leash mornings in central park, and long naps on my pillow.

I would love to get a painting of my miniature dachshund Watson (as in Deitz and Watson hot dogs)! He is super lovable and super strange. He will only walk up and down the left side of the steps and sit to our left. He also puts his toys away when he is done playing with them! What strange bird (err- dog)!

Paint my pet! Our family dog, Bruiser, is a Westie and he just got over a stomach bug, so this would be just the thing to make him feel much better. He watches out for us by perching on the landing at the top of the stairs with his “chicken legs” sticking out behind him. He’s so goofy and adorable!
Dianna says
Paint my pet! My kitty, Zoe. Shes a beautiful himalayan. Recently diagnosed with lymphoma so our memories right now with her are precious.

I would have our puppy Riley painted. She is the cutest puppy I have ever seen! I may or may not be a little biased ;). She is a rescue dog that we adopted about a year ago exactly. She was so nervous and scared of everything when we first adopted her and we have been working to break her out of that! She’s come a long way and we’re so happy with her! She puts a smile on our faces every day!

PAINT MY PET! I would love to get a portrait of my adorable rescue mutt, Murray Monster! There are so many things I love about the little bugger, but my favorite is that he is always finding a way to outsmart us. We’re doing agility with him and I’ve been training him after work on weave poles. If he runs through them correctly, he gets a treat on a target plate at the end. But if he messes up I beat him to the target and scoop up the treat so he can try again. Then he figured it out. If he made a mistake, he started getting on his back as if to ask for a belly rub, then get squirmy when I start rubbing his belly and run over to the treat plate. We like to post pics & videos of him here – http://murraysmusings.tumblr.com. He’s a weirdo but we love him (because we’re super weird too!)
