And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

    PAINT MY PET!!

We rescued a Jack Russell Terrier named Zoey a few years ago and were amazed at how well she fit in with our family. She’s an avid movie watcher, just like us!

We’re not sure how, but she can always tell when the final credits start rolling. She jumps up from bed and trots over with a toy as if to say that our excuse has expired and she now demands our undivided attention. It happens without fail–and kills us each time!

PAINT MY PET! That’s a hard one because I have two sweet dogs that I love to death but I would probably go with my first born, Gunner. His daddy (and my love) passed away unexpectedly Jan 31st of this year so he needs twice the love from me and he holds such a special place in my heart since he is here to remind me of Ryan everyday. :) He loves giving kisses and just being a goofball in general and is such a friendly guy!

    PAINT MY PET!!

I would love to have my dog Pepper painted, we adopted her about two years ago at the local shelter were I worked at the time. We were told she was 14 at the time of adoption but were pleasantly surprised when we later discovered she wasn’t as old as we originally thought. She is now 12 and we’ve had here for 2 years, she’s reverse aging! Pepper is so fun to be around, she LOVES to swim and it’s impossible to keep her out of the water, we call her “SpongeDog!”

    PAINT MY PET!

I would love to have our little smushy white miniature schnauzer immortalized in a painting! She is, far and away, the weirdest dog I have ever had. My favorite thing she does is get under my bed and wait for me to get on my hands and knees to look under the bed and call her name. Then she army crawls on her little “elbows” at super speed and shoots out from under the bed. It’s belly laugh-inducing for sure!

We have a three year old 1/2 mini dachsund, 1/2 french bulldog named Käse. We accidently bought him from a puppy mill (found him online, traveled 9 hours to get him, saw the conditions he was living in and couldn’t leave him) and had to spend the first couple of months with him nursing him back to health. He was one sick puppy. All that bonding time left me head over heels in love with him. Now my favorite thing is having him snuggled up next to my legs under the covers at night.

I would have my kitty Conan painted. He was taken from us far too soon just after his second birthday. I loved the way he would grab my boyfriend’s head on both sides and start cleaning his hair. My boyfriend did not think it was quite as cute as I did :) I read somewhere that grooming is a cat’s way of welcoming you into their pack, so I found this little quirk of his especially sweet!

PAINT MY PET! My boyfriend and I have a German Shepard Shelty mix, named Maddie. She has this addiction to balls, literally she is ball dependent. Every morning while I am curling my hair she lays by the bathroom door “nosing” the ball to my feet and waits until I kick it back to her. Basically, she would be happy if I stood there all day and curled my hair. Maddie also will be the first one to tell you if she is thirsty or hungry(OOPS BAD MOM) she will carry her bowl to the living room. I just love her so much!

PAINT MY PET! I know everyone thinks their dog is the best. But Jackson seriously is. We found him wandering around the streets of Richmond and he had obviously faced some hard times. But it didn’t take long for him to become part of the family. He’s a 90 lb black flat coat retriever, he never barks at anything or anyone. He loves to snuggle, go for walks and chase the groundhog who lives next door. He brings so much happiness into our lives and we would love a picture of him to hang on our wall!
