Fab Freebie: Portrait Of A Fido

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

Lesli Devito Giveaway Winner Lola

Somebody turned six last week around here. And his name rhymes with Schmurger (video evidence to come on Young House Life – we just have to upload it). Anyway, in honor of that exciting canine milestone, we’re hosting an exciting canine giveaway, courtesy of our good friend (and fellow Virginian) Lesli Devito. She’s got an incredible knack for turning a photo of your pet into a brightly colored, cheerful piece of artwork that’ll wake up any wall. So start digging out that perfect snapshot of your pup (or kitty or whatever else) and hunting for the perfect spot for that 20 x 20″ custom painting that just may be coming your way!

  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 3rd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada

    PAINT MY PET

I would love to win this contest! I would paint my dog Mazzy who is a 65 pound pit bull with the heart of a chihuahua. The best part about my dog is that she loves to snuggle and it’s funny to see her stretch when she gets up from a long nap :)

I would love to have my beloved baby Harry painted. he is a feisty cairn terrier who goes to work each day with my husband (we both work at golf courses) and chases the geese and other small critters of the course! He is fierce and protective and we love him!

    PAINT MY PET!

I have wanted a portrait of my sweet puppy for so long! She’s an almost 3 year old boxer/lab mix and she’s the cutest girl in the world. I love everything about her, but mostly the way she smells….I think its kind-of like fresh dirt, which may sound weird, but I genuinely love it.

    PAINT MY PET(S)?

I wonder if they would do a portrait of the two of them. Scout is a Golden Retriever and Phoenix is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. If it’s just one pup per portrait, I’d have to buy a second one. :)

Thanks for having a Canada friendly giveaway!

We have three dogs, so it’s tough to choose one. It’s a toss up between the lab and the Bassett hound. Our min pin has three teeth left, so she might not make the prettiest portrait…

PAINT MY PET! My cat Keido came to live with me and my husband a year ago. He’s a funny little guy who absolutely loves butter. You know how some cats come running when you open a can of tuna? This guy comes tearing into the kitchen as soon as you unwrap a stick of butter.

Oh my God! How VERY happy I would be if I won this. I’d get a picture of both of our dogs. If I have to pay for one, so be it. I’ve been hinting to my husband for a while now that I want paintings of our dogs. In Sherry’s words “No Dice.” I have two dogs, one of which my husband owned before we met. The other we got together. He’s THE sweetest thing ever and has SOOO many medical issues. I dropped him off at the vet this morning to get an x-ray. Breaks my heart.

PAINT MY PET! It would be hard to choose which of our sweet dogs to have a portrait painted of! We have 2 shelter pups–a hound dog named Lilly (AKA, the Sherif)and a heeler mix named Cassie (AKA, the Deputy). There are so many quirky things to love about our dogs! Lilly loves to “investigate” people, and is quite a talker (she grumbles a lot). Cassie has huge ears that stick straight up, and does this funny thing where she runs full speed from one end of the yard to the other while barking like crazy, then throws on her “breaks”! She ends up sliding into the fence and piling up a bunch of dirt. She’s a goofball!

I adopted Anna Cat after a bad, bad breakup. She’s an excellent conversationalist and cuddler, and she was just what I needed. Happily, I am in an awesome relationship now with a new man, and it is definitely a relationship of three: him, Anna, and me :)

I would have my English Bulldog, Frank, painted. Frank thinks that any blanket belongs to him. I will be laying on the couch all curled up in a blanket and low and behold, Frank will join me, claw the blanket to nest his bed and soon enough, he will have all the blanket and I will have none. Sometimes I start to get annoyed, but then I cannot because he is too adorable all warm and sleeping in the blanket :)

The first pet of my adult life, my cat Tasha was with me through seven moves, three ex-boyfriends, one fiance and one marriage. She was always a bit of an odd cat… very affectionate but only on her terms.

She died a year and a half ago, and I will always miss her… the soft squirrel sound she would make if startled, her little orange nose, her pink chin, her enormous green eyes (I always joked that she got them from her mom).
