Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I print when I write. Cursive usually only shows up in my signature. I’d like to think I write fairly neatly… I got all A’s in penmanship growing up!

I do most of my writing with a keyboard these days, but my handwritten pieces are usually in cursive. I’d pick up the Dictionary set for my husband, though, as he’s a bit more old fashioned and keeps in touch with people best through snail mail. Vintage sheet music and simple cardstock are perfect for his aesthetic. What a great prize!

I love blank greeting cards. I spend a good portion of my income on cute ones to tell the loved ones in my life thank you, get well, congratulations & happy birthday!
My handwriting isnt beautiful but I love to hand write everything!! I always appreciate it when I receive stuff that is so personalized that it is hard for me to send anything else.
Katie says
Press me!!! My handwriting is decent but seems to get slightly messier as I get older.

Over the years I have developed a curious print/cursive style that I cannot explain…I think it is part laziness that prevents me from writing all in cursive but I need a little flourish to my printing.

My handwriting style is messy at best, illegible at worst, so I really need some spiffy stationary to make me look good!

I hate my handwriting so I type every chance I get. These stationary sets are so beautiful though it may force me to get it a try.

PRESS ME! Handwriting? Pretty much illegible. Sadly not the stereotypical “girly” handwriting that’s fun to read. I still hand write my thank you notes, though!
Julie says
PRESS ME!!!! I love letterpress……..I use cursive all the time and you can actually read my signature…best giveaway ever =)

My writing is a mix of printing and cursive. And I don’t bother to dot my I’s at all!

I’m a hybrid handwriting kind of gal… Not quite print, not quite cursive, but somewhere in between.
Sarajane says
PRESS ME…I am loath to admit it, but my handwriting is looking more and more like my mother’s as I get older. This is not a good thing as it was always difficult for my teachers, or bus driver, to read her notes. In general, I write with a mix of cursive and print, which perhaps adds to the confusion sometimes.
I love the extra touch of the envelope liner with The Dictionary, but I also love the elegant simplicity of The Signature. Beautiful work!
Jess says
Press me! I only write in print, I hate cursive. And I prefer small letters to capitals. I think it’s because I think my initials JIM aren’t very pretty in cursive.
Amanda James says
PRESS ME! I love it!
Cursive all the time! ;)

I have a mix of cursive and print for my handwriting style.. and it generally differs based on how tired I am!!

I love these note cards!!! I think in the computer age that we have lost the thoughtfulness of the had written note. I still love sending handwritten notes and cards, but I still have a day timer and not a blackberry. I write in cursive and dotting I’s and crossing T’s.
PS … love your blog

My handwriting is print… I only use cursive for filling out the spelled out monetary amount on checks… Somebody told me to always use cursive for that purpose… why does it matter??? beats me!

I’m pretty traditional and still consider penmanship a lost art. My handwriting is a combo of cursive and print.

I usually write in a funky mix of cursive and print, but I am trying to write more in cursive. I am always impressed by beautiful handwriting and cursive seems so romantic.

I write in gibberish. My handwriting is cursive and when I am deliberate, it is legible. It’s a shame really. I am a stellar four-finger typer and have bad handwriting. When journaling is required for scrapbooking, I turn to typing my comments using Ali Edwards’ Handwriting (see http://www.lifeartmedia.com/aliedwardsfont)

Oh my gosh, I’m totally in love. Unfortunately, nothing too special about my handwriting, but it’s readable so I guess that’s worth something, right??

I love writing by hand! My style is a mix of print and cursive, something that just evolved organically over the years. And if I do say so myself, it is quite lovely, so having some lovely stationary to go with it would be just peachy!

I sometimes love my handwriting, and sometimes wonder why I even bother…from ultra bubbly and swirly, to all caps (like Architect-SP? style), to plain printing, to a combo of printing and cursive…my writing style has many moods! Even though it may not always turn out how I envision it, I love to write…it’s freeing and relaxing…theraputic!

My handwriting varies depend on my audience. For writing personal greetings, I usually write in cursive. My writing at work tend to be more on the print side.

I do a mix of cursive and print, but mostly cursive. I still enjoy writing hand-written notes and receiving them too. The Sharpie Pen–Fine is an awesome writing pen and it doesn’t bleed through.

I print or write, depending on my mood. If I’m writing a hand-written note for the mail, I usually like to write. It just feels more personal.
This stationary is AMAZING! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win some!

I used to have really pretty cursive handwriting, but I find now that I’ve been out of school for a few years and am no longer taking notes all day long, my handwriting has seriously suffered! It’s amazing how few opportunities I have in an average workday to actually use an old-fashioned paper and pen! :-)

My handwriting has gotten pretty terrible. It was legible enough when I was still in school full time, but now that I am mostly on the computer all day, it looks like gobbedlygook.
My signature finally looks like a signature though, and not just my name in cursive.

I have the most hideous handwriting: I write in a “cursive print”, where I print each letter but don’t pick my hand up from the page! Whenever I try to write more neatly, it ends up overly loopy like a 12 year old girl! But my knack for wonderful stationary doesn’t stop me from writing notes!
