Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I have great cursive writing, but usually when I’m in a hurry my writing is a mix of cursive and print. Thanks for the giveaway! Hope I win! :)

Great Giveaway! I am kind of manic when it comes to my handwriting. Sometimes I rock all caps, and sometimes I write in cursive, whatever I feel like at the moment… I like to keep people guessing.

I write with a combo cursive/printing style. I still love (and think it’s important) to send hand-written thank you notes. Thanks!
Talia Sanders says
I feel like my writing styles are bipolar depending on my mood. If it’s involving anything with an artistic goal then it’s super careful and neat but at times illegible when it involves anything everyday (grocery list, class notes, etc).

I send thank you notes and birthday cards religiously, probably because I like to receive them myself. I always write cards in cursive. I feel as though it is traditional and conveys a more personal touch. But my notepads at work, and from when I was in school, are filled with print. It is much neater and easier to read. And I fill out applications and write addresses on cards in block lettering . . . I have no explanation for that one!

I LOVE stationery, sending letters, receiving letters, and dreaming of the beautiful stationery I’d buy if I had the money. For now, I stick with great deals at Home Goods. PRESS ME!!

I really like the signature and the dictionary. What a great business.
I get compliments on my handwriting all the time. But I don’t see it. Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by family that has impossible to read handwriting, mine just looks nice by comparison!

I have the most ordinary handwriting. It’s not too good or too bad. I wish I could write like my grandma. It seems like handwriting is going to get sloppier with each new generation.

I have never liked my handwriting, and I’ve often tried to mimic my friends’ handwriting styles. None have stuck, but my copycat tendencies were so helpful when it came time to address our wedding invitations. I somehow taught myself calligraphy and managed to save a bundle…no calligrapher needed!

PRESS ME PLEASE!!! I am an interior designer, so when it comes to my handwriting I look at it more of an art form! I love the fanciness of cursive and prefer to write in it the majority of the time. But you gotta love the Architectural Lettering style when it comes to design as well.

I don’t particularly like my handwriting but I love stationary and writing notes, so I try my best to make it look good. When i’m writing a note I usually write in cursive, but certain letters at the beginning of a sentence, T, H, P and K I always write in print for soem reson, I guess cause I hate the way they look when I write them in cursive.

My handwriting is close to the doctor category. The first few letters are readable, and then it’s a line with a few humps after that. When I take the time it’s a combo print/cursive signature. But that rarely happens because I have 14 letters in my signature of just my first and last name. I’m signing it several times a day at work on environmental reports, so it just keeps getting quicker and sloppier.

My writing is limited to thank you notes and a journal I started when my daughter was born two years ago. I write on a computer for a living, without the terrible, mispelled and free-flowing penmanship reserved for my daughter’s journals. Someday, she will have the luxury of reading her mother’s thoughts, unedited, just as I have the freedom to let it all out in any way I please. Flipping through the journal now, I can tell when I was up late and frantic, worried about something, or celebrating a milestone just by looking at my handwriting.
Kristy says
LOVE the signature! I want mine exactly like that, bumblebee and all!
My writing depends on my mood. I usually write in a combo of cursive and print, but when I’m angry it comes out more print, and hurried is usually really sloppy cursive.
Love this giveaway!

Some how I ended up down a career path as a journalist and learned the occupational hazard of developing awful handwriting. I take notes at record speeds and I often have to spend time trying to figure out my own handwriting. When I have time though, i think my script is quite pretty.

I love to write- cursive, print, block- and look at anything handwritten. I think letters are just so beautiful! I, like others, usually write in a sort of cursive-print hybrid.

I love typography and often try to mimic fonts I’ve seen into my own handwriting. I’d say my handwriting has become a messy mixture of cursive, print, caps and lower-case. I would much rather hand write something than type it if I can.

If writing slow (like a letter) I write all in print. I have a mixture of Caps and Lower case. For example A’s are always written in lower case (just bigger if they are a name or start of a sentence) But e’s I do seperate Lower and upper. It depends on if I like the font of the letter. I NEVER use the cursive J. Its the first letter of my name and I don’t like it.
Quirky… I know. Thanks for all ya do.

My writing style tends to be a combination of cursive and print. I do put a line through my Z’s though. It’s a habit I picked up to distinguish them from 2’s when writing math formulas.

I have a ridiculously neat and big print.
I don’t dot my I’s, put tops on my Js (which end up looking like Us) or write in cursive, EVER! I can’t write cursive to save my life.
I’ve never had letterpressed stationery, Crane & Co has been my stationery of choice for years, but i’m always up for something new!!!
I’m crazy about “thank you” notes. You generally have one from me within a week of recieving the gift–it’s been closer to two weeks since having my daughter 6 months ago.

My writing styles vary between cursive and teacher-like print (like a first-grade teacher who is printing so those learning to read can see the letters). However, if I’m in a rush it’s virtually unreadable by anyone but me!

I am a writer – newspaper reporter, actually – so it’s safe to say I do a lot of typing, but I love to actually write with real pens in real notebooks sometimes too. I have since I was little, my mom said I carried around pens and notebooks when I was four.
I like my handwriting pretty well, I am jealous of some of my friends, especially the teachers I know because their writing always looks so perfect! I like writing in cursive but don’t do it as much. I don’t rock ALL caps, but I do tend to write capitals when I use the letters R and E a lot. Not sure why, just a habit I picked up that’s stuck!

I think that my writing style depends on my writing instrument. Like one (maybe more) above said, it can depend on whether it’s a fine-point, ball-point, etc. I tend to print for the most part but write “proper” things like thank yous. I also use caps where they’re supposed to be…darn handwriting teacher! :) I will say that i’m a font freak, there should be a 12- step program for people like me. I’m especially in love with fonts of other people’s handwriting, that way it’s handwriting but waaay cooler than my own.
