Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I write in all caps. I didn’t start this until my junior year of college. Weird.

PRESS ME* My writing style is all over the place. From very neat to some-what cartoon (i.e. ren & stimpy style) to unrecognizable when signing my name at the end of a wal-mart transaction. Sometimes if I’m writing a thank you note I doodle…drawing spirals and pasileys where ever I can.

Press Me!, please oh pretty please
My writing writing always starts out cursive and then if I hit a “b” or “d” which takes too much time for my brain to figure out in cursive and the rest of the word is anyone’s guess.
Thanks for the give-a-way

I love the art of the handwritten ANYTHING these days! I usually write in cursive if I’m sending a note to someone, but in meetings, I find myself taking notes in regular ole print. I do notice that my writing style changes with my mood. (anyone else?)
FANTASTIC giveaway!

I’m one of those people who goes between print and cursive. I love handwritten notes, so even when my writing looks a little funky from all of the mix match, I still think it’s 100% better than shooting someone an email.

I send handwritten cards all the time (im a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator) but my handwriting is a sloppy mess of cursive and print. it just all blends together in the fastest way possible.

WOW those are lovely! They’d be great for me right now- I’m writing lots of thank you notes for wedding gifts! :) My handwriting developed into a blend of cursive and print while I was in college. It now looks a lot like my mom’s!

My handwriting has always been dreadful – I got a D in 1st grade, the only non A I ever got until I went to college. However, my son is in 3rd grade this year and I decided to learn to cursive write right along side the rest of the 3rd graders. I am doing so well. :-) I actually have pretty handwriting now. I have been writing letters to my mom and she is so excited to actually be able to read them.

Interestingly, my writing style has changed several times through the years. I’m in the “hurried and scribbled” stage right now!

My handwriting is pretty nice, but it is dependant on the type of pen I am using. I write better with roller ball pens.

I love to write in all lower case for a fun, casual style. I don’t think I’ve used cursive since I learned it in third grade (with the exception of signatures!). Thanks for the giveaway… great stuff!

I’ve changed up my writing style so much, I can’t even remember what I started with. Either way, I’m an all caps girl currently, it’s pretty much the only way my writing stays neat.
Awesome giveaway by the way!

I love to write in print– I even chose to hand-write my law school exams and the Bar exam– but I’m always going so quickly that I think my penmanship has suffered :(
BTW, that Dictionary style is so up my alley!

My writing is a mash-up of cursive, print, and wingdings, depending on how much time I have to actually handwrite something or what I’m jotting down!
Having been raised by a hybrid Martha-Stewart-meets-Miss-Manners-and-has-a-lovechild-with-Betty-Crocker, I was always taught to hand write thank you notes. These gorge note cards would be perfect for the task!

i am strictly lower-case..all the time..unless i’m writing a letter to my grandma and then i capitalize appropriately so she doesn’t think i’m crazy :)

I’d say I have pretty average handwriting. It is legible, although I think it sometimes borders on looking too “young”… ie it looks a little like a middle schooler at times. :)
I NEVER write in cursive anymore, in fact, I’m getting married in a few weeks and I’ve had to actually practice writing my new last name (yeah, I know, so 2nd grade right?!) so it doesn’t look completely different from my first name when I write it! I’m still working on it… but it is definitely improving.
These new cards would be PERFECT for me to have once my name is official! Oh yeah, and I love letterpress. I wanted it for the wedding, but alas, it was TOO expensive!
Stephanie says
PRESS ME! I love writing in cursive, big scrawling letters.

Usually, my handwriting is an awful combination of cursive, regular print (including some letters randomly in all caps). Man, a handwriting analyzer would have a hey-day with me!

I write in little caps (where it’s all caps but the “capitals” are bigger sized caps) and it’s not very legible, and I avoid it at all costs. But I need some stationary for thank-you notes, and you can’t get away with e-mailing those!

oh, how i adore letterpress…i wish i had one of my own! my writing style depends on my mood. my print is very distinguishable…anything with a hump (h, m, n…) is usually twice as wide as the other letters. sometimes i’ll pull out my cursive, but i’m not a big fan of it.

I switch between cursive and print–in the same word. Oddly, I have better handwriting when writing on a board than on paper. Oh, and I never dot my i’s…drives the 3rd graders I teach crazy!

I work hard on my handwriting – I constantly try to perfect it. I write very vertical, all in print, if i don’t like how I wrote it i will re-write in an instant. I have always been fanatical about my handwriting, I re-write notes from class or work meetings, I learn by writing too so it helps to write and re-write. You could definitely call me anal retentive about writing……I wonder if there is a Handwriters Anonymous?

My handwriting is a mix of cursive and print and for the most part pretty neat. I’m one of those weird ones who practiced their married signature before they were married to get it looking juuuust right.

My writing style is a hybrid between print and cursive. Certain letters come out in cursive while the rest look like a messy print. It may be hard for others to read, but it works for me!!
Elise says
PRESS ME! The most unusual thing about my handwriting is that I write the letter “a” just like a computer does. No boring oval circle with a little tail for me – but a fully shaped, type-writer-inspired “a” for kicks.

My handwriting closely resembles an indecipherable Sanskrit (you can catch a glimpse of it here http://hiphousegirl.wordpress.com/2010/01/05/kitchen-plans/) so I try to type as much as I can. Plus my hands usually can’t keep up with my brain when I’m writing by hand!

Sadly, I write like the product of 12 years of Catholic Schooling that I am: Horribly. I try really hard to be legible, but I still end up mostly apologizing for my writing whenever anybody tries to read something I’ve written!
But I do love to send hand-written notes. Go figure.
