Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I tend to use my “teacher handwriting” at all times. Hazard of the job, I guess! :)
Stephanie Patterson says
PRESS ME! Often, my writing style can be illegible and angled down and to the right because I am a lefty.
Julianne Hendrickson says
PRESS ME!
I like a mix between the two!
Lauren A says
PRESS ME! Love, love, love the signature one. I love writing in print and cursive. These days it seems like I only get to write, not type, when I’m making my grocery list or writing thank you notes.
Melissa says

There’s nothing like hand-written note in a cheery ink color to brighten someone’s day!
Whitney says

I write in skinny, upright cursive :)
Oooh I really wanna win!
Megan says

I love writing in all CAPS, but it’s just not as fast as the tried and true cursive, which is much less readable…my third-grade penmanship teacher would be so disappointed.
Mollie says

I usually print, and occasionally use cursive!
Lauren says
PRESS ME! holy yikes that’s some pretty paper. but, um, my writing style is definitely a combo. there are just some letters that don’t flow well in cursive, so i usually end up with printed S’s and D’s and the lot. plus i’m not good with dotting and crossing, so my letters usually go without anything atop the I’s.
Anna says

I like to think I have print with flair.
Marjorie H says
Press me! I love the way cursive looks but usually write in messy handwriting!
Chrissy says

Ooooo… that dictinoary style is fantastic! Appearently, I’m a half cursive, half print type of writer. With big bottom swirls for all the f’s, g’s and y’s.
Jenny says

My writing style mainly consists of trying not to slope awkwardly across the page too much. Nothing ruins a letter more, I think. I keep to printing, but add some fancy low-swooping ‘f’s to class it up a bit.
Karen Potter says
PRESS ME! I’m a first grade teacher so I do a LOT of writing in manuscript. I get a lot of compliments on my printing but if I’m writing just for myself I can get really sloppy. Alos, I only like to write in PENCIL. I have never found a PEN that I like.
Minda says
PRESS ME! I have been going out of my way to find beautiful stationary and write thoughtful notes to friends and family. I think that getting a hand-written note in the mail is the best! Also, I always work to emulate my best friend’s mother’s handwriting…its SO cool and perfect…and always so straight, even on blank cards!
Lindsay says

My handwriting is really loopy and fast – sometimes I can’t even read it!
Mallory says

I usually always write in cursive. It seems to look better and I can write a lot faster that way!

My handwriting is a finely honed hybrid of cursive and “pretty” printing. Teaching middle school means the girls oddly care about the teacher’s handwriting.
Amy Jo says

I love handwriting. I’m a teacher, so I get to write by hand…a lot. Mine is somewhere between cursive and printing.
Jocelyn Stott says

And, my writing style is all over the board depending on my mood, pen I am using and how much I care at that moment in time.
Chanda says

My writing style is usually a combo of cursive and print. If I’m in a hurry I usually write in cursive only.

Print and cursive, but I try to keep it clear, I am a Nurse and nothing is more aggravating then unreadable chicken scratch!
Veronique says
Press me!
My writing style is anything but consistent. HOWEVER, whatever style of writing I’m currently using, I’ve often been told it looks JUST LIKE print, all letters are so similar to each other that it makes it very consistent and almost print-like.
At least I’m being consistent in one way if not the other.
Miranda says
Press me! I’m a note-writing machine! No e-mail thank you notes for this girl! I love The Audrey so much my head is spinning! Snail mail, thankyouverymuch.
NikKidd says

My handwriting is an eclectic but, I hope, pleasant mix of cursive and print. Disturbingly, it looks nearly exactly how it looked in elementary school and eerily like a younger version of my mother’s handwriting!
Ashli says

I’m loving this stationary. I’m pretty random with my writing…typically a mix of print and cursive.
Heather says

I write in a cursive/print hybrid, and while i hate the way it looks, folks seem to like it.
Gin S says
PRESS ME!
My writing is a mix of print & cursive- ranging from neat and pretty to chicken scratch depending on my mood.
Mary Frances says
PRESS ME!! These are drop dead gorgeous. I absolutely ADORE the signature. I have the strangest handwriting – sometimes it’s this half-cursive, half-print thing that I really like, and sometimes it’s this horribly unfortunately thing that I can’t make cooperate to save my life.
Aubrey Taylor says
PRESS ME! my everyday handwriting is a scribble, but stationary this lovely would be a reason to improve it!
Jenny says

I have big fat cursive writing and have to remind myself to leave room on the card for my husband to sign as well.

“PRESS ME”, I have wonky cursive, and out of a family of 5 girls I got my Mom’s strange handwriting! My sisters write beautifully.
Val says

I’m pretty proud of how good my handwriting is, probably because I’m such a nerd that I used to really practice it in my down time. How sad is that?!
Laura D says

I write exclusively in cursive which I think is pretty and legible, however my husband thinks it is completely impossible to decipher.
Laura says

My mother was a third-grade teacher who always tried to teach me to write cursive “the right way.” Who knew I could be such a rebel at 8? My large, loopy print is my signature. :)

As a 2nd grade teacher I guess it’s only fitting that people say I have teacher handwriting. I love a nice handwritten note on personalized stationery. So classy!
Rebecca says

I prefer writing with either a black roller ball ink pen or a pencil, and my writing seems to be a mixture of cursive and print. My first grade teacher would be so ashamed!
Chrissy Johnson says

I have “teacher” handwriting. I am a first-year, 1st grade teacher :) Teaching is really awesome, especially in 1st grade. We are constantly stressing nice and neat handwriting to get ready for 2nd grade… my kids have done AWESOME and I hope that my “teacher” handwriting has helped show a good example!
Amanda H. says
PRESS ME! Such pretty stationery!! I am a perfectionist to the point of obsession about my writing. It is so funny to compare my writing now to how it looked when I was just learning to write my name. My husband actually made the excuse that I should write all the thank you notes after our wedding because my handwriting is pristine and his is…well… not. Nice try, buddy :)

I loved the Audrey design. My writing style combines cursive and print, but I have been told it is very nice and unique. I do keep my handwriting for special occasions though, I am more of an everyday typist :)
