Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My writing tends to be on the neat side. One random/unique thing about my writing is I capitalize all of my “r’s.”

Architecture school has taught me to write in all caps all the time.

PRESS MOI!
I write in a hybrid print/cursive form. I am afraid over the years (and as I’ve grown accustomed to typing my way through life) my handwriting has deteriorated to illegible scribble.

Oh my goodness… that set with the dictionary page lined envelope is too adorable!

My handwriting style is pretty basic script, nothing to be proud of. Makes me wonder why my second grade teacher spent so much time teaching me cursive.
However, my writing style will be very grateful as I will soon be receiveing wedding shower gifts and I’m anticipating lots of “Thank You’s” in my future. Luckily I love writing notes and cards to family and friends.
Love your blog!! Today when I was on thenest.com looking for bathroom design ideas I saw a picture and thought to myself, “I’ve seen this bathroom before.” Sure enough it was your pre-re-renovation.

My handwriting is horrible!! I don’t use cursive because I am terrible at it and even my normal handwriting can be hard to read….

These are just beautiful. I am a half cursive half print girl. And when I write the capital letter I make it larger than the rest of the words…

i’m obsessed with stationery and these are gorgeous. i’m almost always all caps. i guess that’s very telling. Yikes. Need i elaborate.

PRESS ME… my handwriting is a mixture of print and cursive
Andrea Worley says
Press Me,
My writing style is mostly cursive, and I love making everything personal when writing to someone.

I am an exclusive cursive writer. I blame my elementary teachers and my mom, who always made me write handmade thank yous!
Katie Pond says

I love cursive, and I love to write personal sentiments. A handmade card with a personalized note inside always means so much!

I love writing by hand, which is great because as a teacher I do a lot of it. When I was in middle school I used to force my handwriting to mimic different computer fonts. As an adult, it’s my own (mostly print, but some cursive mixed in -usually L’s or S’s, depending on my mood) but I frequently get comments like, “Is this your handwriting?! It looks like a computer font!” Go figure. :)

I’ve been told I have beautiful handwriting, but with Lupus causing it to hurt more and more when I hand write anything, I tend to avoid it pretty much now.

PRESS ME, BABY!
My writing style varies often. I’d say I have more like 2 or 3 styles, depending on a) type of pen, b) purpose for writing, c) amount of writing.
Sometimes it’s very flowing, and sometimes it’s very elementary school. I always thought it was easy to read, but my students this year seem to think otherwise!

I love, love, love letterpress stationery…I think it’s so elegant. I write in a mix of cursive and print. Even if I start out all in cursive, it turns into a mix of print and cursive.

Gorgeous stationery!! My writing style is sometimes cursive, sometimes printed – not pretty handwriting but it is legible. That counts for something right? :)

I write in a mix of cursive and print. I have the handwriting of an 11 year-old. And not a bubble writing girl 11 year-old.

I have TERRIBLE handwriting! Maybe if I had these no one would notice!!
Sara says
Press me! I am so excited about this giveaway. I’ve been obsessed with fonts and neat handwriting since I was little. Printing is my handwriting at its best, but I tend to write bigger and bigger as the letters go on…
April O says

My handwriting is very casual and no cursive is involved. I never liked the way my cursive looked, so once I had an option, ie out of middle school, I went all the way with print.
Jennifer H says
PRESS ME! I’m a big believer that the art of letter writing is NOT dead. My mom always made my siblings and me write thank you notes, and the tradition carries on with my son. There’s nothing better than receiving a hand-written note amongst all the bills and junk mail. I treasure the written word; in fact, I think I’ve probably saved every letter I’ve ever been sent.

Most of my writing is done on the computer but I like to vary the fonts!
Maretta says

Wow, what talented people. Think the cursive is my fave.
After years of spending all day at my computer my handwriting has become appalling but I’m determined to regain the lost art of letter writing and these would be just perfect to help me do it!
Jen Allen says
PRESS ME! I write almost exclusively in cursive which winds up nearly illegible because I try to write as fast as I can type. (But I always take extra care with the envelopes to hide the slop inside.) :-)
Holly says
PRESS ME! All CAPS all THE TIME :)
Amy says

I change how I write all the time. Mostly a mixture of caps and cursive…just depends on my mood. I always dot with a regular pin dot, but my exclamation points are always with a heart! I’m just quirky that way.
BEAUTIFUL STUFF – I’m partial to the first set – gorgeous!
Whitney says

It really depends…if I’m in a hurry- cursive loops. If I’m relaxed, just slanty and curvy print!

I’m kind of weird. I am a male math teacher and when I’m at work all of my writing tends to be in a very feminine print. On my own time I tend to write in all caps (the byproduct of an education in engineering I suppose). I switch back and forth without realizing it.

i love to write. weird? perhaps. but i love it. i write in a mixture of uppercase & lowercase [but not in the proper way, e’s & a’s are always lowercase, even at the beginning of a sentence, etc.]…never cursive.

As a former kindergarten and first grade teacher, I print. Old habits….. However, I recently got married and chose to hand write all the thank you’s in cursive…what a disaster! I ended up tossing so many into the recycling bin. : (

I naturally write in cursive and notice that if I deviate from this I always end up going back to cursive. It looks kinda funny when it starts with all caps (or whatever) and then turns into cursive.
I love handwritten notes and so I like to send things out to people (Cards, letters, etc) because I know how much I like receiving them!
Jennifer Clifford says

Oddly enough I think I inherited my penmanship from my aunt. We both have the same handwriting, very neat and straight. I like to print when I’m writing, rarely do I use cursive. And I love me some letterpressed stationery!!
honeymyheart says

i am a lover of handwritten notes and receiving mail. my writing is a print-cursive hybrid where i don’t dot my i’s, and my R, B, D, P letters are written with the loopy part first and the line part second (does that make sense?)

I am a printer. I am used to signing my name in cursive…but if I am writing in cursive and have to do a letter that isn’t in my name I have to stop and think about what the letters look like!

I avoid handwriting at ALL costs. But I’ll still write letters by hand to those who love me and will tend to forgive my atrocious cursive AND printing.
April B says

I love to write! I like to think I have really nice handwriting. Pretty much always in cursive, but with my own little flourishes here and there.
Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful stationery!
Amy says

I write in all caps at work (engineer…engineer with a *love* for pretty paper).
In normal writing, I mix cursive and print.
Laura Ellerbroek says
PRESS ME!!! I typically write in cursive, but occasionally deviate to print mid-sentence, then back to cursive. I just love the look of cursive writing and used to take such pride in my pretty handwriting when I was a little girl, and still do!
