Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My cursive handwriting has been described as the worst and the best anyone has seen. Being a lefty my handwriting is a bit different from everyone elses. If I take the time to write something nice, then I truly love my handwriting.

I try to write in cursive all of the time. Somtimes it deteriorates if I’m in a hurry like taking notes in a meeting.
These are beautiful sets!

My handwriting’s pretty standard (print), but, as a teacher, I am proud of the fact that I’ve mastered writing in straight lines on the board. That has to count for something, right?

I always write in cursive…It’s wayyyy more legible than my printing :)

I have the weirdest mix of cursive and print, as well as a mix of upper case letters inside of words. It’s strange but its unique, or so i’m told!
gina says
Press me! I like to write in all lower case and but my phone usually corrects me.
Maura B says

My (casual) handwriting is a cursive/print hybrid. I am a bit of a handwriting/font/anything-printed enthusiast though, and I have very nice cursive penmanship when I apply it “formally”. I have been called upon to hand address many wedding invitations for friends and family.
Amy G. says
PRESS ME! My handwriting is all over the place-literally! I always tend to write on a slant (I have heard this is a personality thing but I am not sure). I always print because my cursive is atrocious. I have had to practice a lot because I am in my first year of teaching and have to write legibly on the board!

I love anything hand written-I have a habit of writting in Architecture-all-caps because of school, but it does vary depending on my mood and what I’m writting.

i write in that perfect teacher printing most of the time… but i had to re-learn cursive to teach it to my students!

PRESS ME! Love to print… easy, simple, graphic, and classic!

I don’t do much handwriting these days and always wish my penmanship was as good as my father’s. He has the most beautiful handwriting of any man I’ve ever known.

Since I always have a pen in my hand, my signature style is typically neatly written letters with some whimsical flairs depending on how much time i have on my hands. Oh how I love handwritten notes!

Beautiful personalized note cards would definitely inspire me to write more handwritten notes. In today’s world of electronic communication, chat, e-mail and facebook to name a few, the hand written note is even more thoughtful.

My handwriting is tiny and meticulous – I always print and it’s often taken for a computer font. I love super-skinny Japanese pens. I’m known for being able to fit a whole letter’s worth of information onto a postcard. I would love to have the Signature stationary!

I almost always write in cursive. I love making it as perfectly neat as I can :-) My second grade teacher drilled neat penmanship into us!

My handwriting is mostly printed and tends to be neat for the first couple of lines then becomes less legible.

I write in print from my days working in an elementary school until I remember that it’s faster to write in cursive!
Heather says

My handwriting is a mixture of (mostly) cursive and print. I have to really concentrate to keep it strictly one or the other. Occasionally, I will write in all caps, but that has more to do with spending some time as a design major.

I write in a combo of print and cursive. I think it is fairly neat but some letters do tend to blend together…

I write in a combination of cursive and print, really. A lot of my letters, especially caps, are print but then the rest is kind of a combination of both. However, when I’m at work, I write in print because I’m a kindergarten teacher, which can be very difficult at times because I like to revert back to cursive.
I used to dot my i’s with hearts when I was in elementary school like Stacey from the Babysitters Club, but then everybody started copying me so I stopped. Then I did stars for awhile, but had to stop when I took spanish cause my teacher didn’t know if it was a dot on an i or something else!

You can tell what kind of day I’m having by my handwriting. If it’s nice and curly, it’s a sweet day. If it’s messy and hurriedly done, then it’s a hurried kind of day!

Oh my goodness, I need to win these! I just spent yesterday evening at Target fretting over cards to buy for handwritten notes I love to dash out to people when I’m thinking of them. And nothing was perfect – like these!
But I’m definitely a “loopy printer”. Does that count as a category?
Kelly says
PRESS those cards right over here to ME! I LOVE stationary, cards, paper, etc and even make my own. I send handwritten notes for EVERYTHING! I used to be a teacher, so my printing is very neat and I usually write this way. Sometimes I do cursive, but it usually turns out looking to textbook perfect.
Arla Pineda says

I only use cursive when I write myself notes since my word trails off at the end. Always use print when I write cards or notes to others.

I’m diggin ‘the Signature’, with that rich green envelope & the icon on both to tie the style together. Looks tight :)
My writing style is usually cursive – it’s neatness depends on who is going to see it (just me = messy / others = neat).
Wild Ink Press website looks great too. Seeing their machinery pics made me think of Will Smith’s Seven Pounds film.
Marin says
Press Me! I don’g have a writing style per se, but I love making my own cards.

I’m a lefty, so my handwriting is inherently bad, since years of Catholic school teachers just threw up their hands and figured I was a lost cause. Mostly, it’s a mish-mash of caps & lowercase, jumbled together in a sometimes print, sometimes cursive mess. Thank the lord for modern technology!
Amber says

I always choose to print rather than write, but then I start to connect my printing and it turns into some print-write hybrid!
