Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My handwriting is cursint, a curly mix of cursive and print. And it looks exactly like my mother’s.

Wow, that first one is to die for! My handwriting tends to be a mix of print and cursive, but when I write for school (I am a teacher) I have to take my time and be really neat. :)

i’m always jealous of other people’s handwriting!

What a great giveaway! I always write in cursive, as I find it easier to keep the same scale than when I print. But “The Dictionary” is my favorite of the choices – go figure. My late uncle did Decorative Penmanship (Spencerian Script) and my goal is to learn that this year.

Press me! I write in a mixture of cursive and printing.

I love writing notes to people but i must admit my penmanship is horrible!

I write in all caps if I want it neat but usually I’m too impatient and just scribble {which means it’s mostly not legible}. I think I forget how to really write cursive and if I do it, some of the letters are my own version of cursive.

My handwriting is really nothing special- but it is LEGIBLE, unlike most of the doctors I get orders from… (I’m a nurse!)

Print! I’m a math teacher, try to keep it neat (sometimes that is a challenge!) and I cross my 7s and zs :)

My writing is a mix of cursive and print… not too messy, not too neat. But speaking of all caps, one of my pet peeves is when people send me an all caps email. Like it’s that urgent or something! Drives me bonkers!! :)

These are gorgeous. :)
I’d have to say my handwriting is atrocious – and slanted!
Annika says

I do not write in cursive, and actually really struggle with it when I have to. I’m just a plain print kind of gal.
Michelle says
PRESS ME! My how I love letterpress!
My handwriting is a mix of cursive & print. I’m luck it’s still readable since people in my line of work (medicine) aren’t exactly known for readable writing.
Erica LeBlanc says
I have different writing styles for different situations. I write in a slanted cursive when I want to be fancy. I have an architectural style that I learned in drafting class for when I want to be neat. And finally, I have a rambling style that starts out neat but tapers at the end of each word, which I use for quick jotting.

I’m a guy and I’ve always been told I have “pretty handwriting” for a guy in fact it’s even more legible and neater than my girlfriend’s… sad I know but I love to write (in more ways than one), hence the blog. More importantly though I think that in today’s world of twitter, facebook, texts, junk mail, bills and email it really sends a special message when you take the time to write your thoughtful words on paper and send them snail mail. I believe in this idea and love holding on to the “old school” way of keeping in touch with people. I just graduated from college and am unsuccessfully job searching. I love the environment and my community and am committed to supporting organizations that are environmentally and socially responsible. I was going to spend some of my graduation gift money on personalized stationary so it would be a blessing to be chosen for this giveaway. Regardless I will shift my focus away from Papyrus, Crane & Co. and American Stationary in favor of Wild Ink Press… thanks!

My handwriting varies, depending on how long the subject is. A quick note might be cursive, but the longer I write, the more garbled my penmanship becomes. By the end of a paragraph, it’s a mixture of print, cursive and Chinese characters! haha
Bethany Small says

I like to think I have mastered my own brand of classy, mixed print and cursive. Prin-sive, if you will.
Love the designs. Makes me want to write some letters…
Wilma says

My handwriting varies dependent upon what it’s for. If I have to write something I know someone else will have to read, my penmanship is impeccable. However, heaven forbid another have to try to decipher the notes I take in class for myself; its illegible and I rarely write complete words as well as having a somewhat complex symbol system for writing common words. (Changed, for example, is a triangle like in math) Also, I only use black uniball pens or my trusty mechanicle pencil. Can’t stand blue ink. Now I sound like a crazy-OCD person, but I promise I’m not. Much.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Ooooh I love letterpress so…
PRESS ME!!
I write in italic cursive, mostly. I took a course in writing italics and it stuck. I get lazy with some letter joins but mostly it’s still there. It’s kind of boring and completely legible but I’ve been complimented on it…
Erica LeBlanc says
oops, PRESS ME for the above comment.

i mostly write in print and, unless it’s formal correspondence, in lowercase letters. there’s just something about all lowercase that feels more personable to me.
Katie says
PRESS ME. Oh how I LOVE special stationary!!! I write horribly EXCEPT when I use a pretty stationary and a great pen. I’ve had a horrible 2010 and would be so suprised to actually win something so cool as this. I try to write in a really pretty swirley non cursive style but sign in cursive. I still need handwriting clases though.

My writing is a combination of cursive and print and is very scripty. When I get carried away, people find my writing hard to read but with some effort, I can keep it neat and readable:)

i absolutely positively adore paper goods. my fave stores are paper good stores. unfortunately, i can’t afford most of the stuff in those precious stores. oh well. but it doesn’t stop my fondness of stationary and all things cute:)
my handwriting is nothing to write home about. honestly, it’s downright ugly. but it gets the job done. it is legible to me. and i always got every word the professor said jotted down in my notebook. so, it serves(d) its purpose well! ;)

I am a cursive-only girl. Sometimes there’s a letter or two of print thrown in, but it takes a LOT of effort for me to print!
Sarah says
Press me! I write in a weird morph of both cursive and print. It makes my second-grade teaching (who writes perfect cursive) mom cringe when she sees it!

I vary my handwriting with my mood – but usually it is a half-cursive/half print. I feel like writing on paper helps me articulate my thoughts.

I love looking at other people’s handwriting. Sometimes I think it is a reflection of personality, and sometimes not. Mine varies – it can be extremely neat or tremendously sloppy. I mostly print, but it is kind of a hybrid between print and cursive.

My handwriting is a hybrid of print and cursive. I think it’s gotten worse since I’ve grown so dependent on email, but I miss romantic feel of how it used to be when everyone wrote letters to each other.

I avoid handwriting at all costs- I attribute it to childhood asthma and the resulting prescribed steriods that made me shaky :) Also always in a hurry and never could master the bubbly looking letters like my friends.
Ashley says

I mix cursive and print every time I write something. I still remember my 7th grade English teacher telling me that I needed to choose between writing in print or cursive…. but I never have!
Melissa says

I mostly use cursive though some of my letters look like print. I think it’s very easy to read and most of the time it’s neatly done!
Stephanie says
PRESS ME! My handwriting is different depending on my mood and what is being written. I am all about print when making lists (all caps when things get serious) but for letter or personal notes it is cursive all the way. There is just something charming about a handwritten letter on beautiful stationary in an elegant feminine cursive…aaaahhhh, I hope I win!
