Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Press Me . . . my handwriting is pretty messy. Mostly handwriting cursive and lazily put together.
Kansas Amy says
Press ME!! ;)
My writing style is quite unique. It’s a mix of cursive and printed letters. I decided when I was very young that I liked some letters in cursive and other letters I thought just looked better in print, so I mixed the two styles. I write anything and everything VERY neatly!

I’m a huge fan of sending hand-written letters! I prefer printing (my left-handedness prevents my cursive from looking pretty)!
Kate says

And I just want it to be neat!

In middle school, I “tried on” new handwriting styles every other week- I thought it was so cool to be able to change the way I wrote! But in my old age I’ve settled into a boring, predictable print :)
Melis says

I love sending handwritten notes…
Daria says
PRESS ME!
My handwriting changes depending on my mood and what I’m writing. Sometimes it leans more towards messy-cursive (if I’m writing quickly) while other times I tend to take my time and write neater.
Victoria says
PRESS ME! I love the signature and the dictionary! Um, my handwriting is very neat usually, sometimes messy, half and half, and I have to use a certain pen..depending on my mood, either a ballpoint (uniball) or a simple bic! :)
rebeccable says
PRESS ME!
I write fast – so really all that matters is that I have a pen that responds quickly and keeps it neat otherwise being fast just means its a giant mess!
Keeley says
PRESS ME!!
I love cursive! I feel like so few people appreciate cursive after being forced to use it in elementary school. It’s so much quicker than my printing!
Jena C says
Press ME!
Cursive for the more formal occasions (Wedding thank you notes, for example) and regular ole print for the day to day.

my writing varies wildly depending on how much i’ve already written and how busy I am.

i always write in all lower case except in formal papers and letters where proper english is necessary. i do tend to mix cursive with print- not sure how that started, but i do get compliments on my handwriting a lot.
Heather Beals says

I do write letters often, but I somehow always mix cursive and print. It is legible, but probably looks like a maniac wrote it!
Jen says

I am obsessed with paper, note cards and writing. I write in print and always use a Pigma Micron 005 black ink pen. A few people told me I should make my hand writing into a font.
Jennifer V says
PRESS ME!
I write in a print-cursive hybrid. When I am bored, instead of doodling, I practice my letters. It looks like I’m taking notes in meetings, but it’s really “ABCDEFGabcdegf” over and over in different styles.
Beth says

I tend to print– not write in cursive. Also, I do “computer a’s” for lowercase a. I used to write letters all the time as a child, and lately I’ve started back up again.
I ADORE the first two styles– the dictionary and the signature!
Maureen says

My handwriting is a mixture of my parents which makes it basically unreadable, but I try anyways, always with blue pen.
Jenna Rae says
Press me! My handwriting is very meticulous and neat.

I have terrible handwriting – I mostly print – but this stationary might just inspire me to clean up my act.

Jennifer Louie says

Mine is just print, but the neatness (and legibility!) changes based on my mood, how tired I am, and what kind of pen I’m using. Is that weird?
Jenn says
Press Me! I love stationary and my handwriting totally depends on my mood. Cursive when I’m feeling girly and printing when I’m feeling neat and straightforward. There is nothing better than getting real mail!
Stephanie says

Loves to write thank you notes! Sometimes I write nice sometimes sloppy and fast!
Emily says
PRESS ME! My writing is a real mix – when working with my elementary students, it’s neatly shaped. When working on my own notes…not quite so tidy! :)

I write the same why I did in 7th grade, when I worked to perfect my letters and writing. I have had slight changes since then, but it looks a bit scrap booky to me.
I love the signature!
Tori says

My handwriting is virtually unreadable, but not because it’s messy. It’s super cute, girly, and bubbly. No one expects a G and a Q (or a G and an S, for that matter) to be identical, but I’m okay with it. One of my coworkers has beautiful cursive; I’ve confessed to her that I envy it, and she told me she envies my illegible block just as much : )
Polina says

My writing is sad, because it does not have a pretty letterpresses note cards to accompany it.

I am a lefty who writes like a righty!! I am also a neat writing nazi – if it is not neat, it is not to be seen! :)

P.S. I hope Australian’s can enter this one!! Am hoping anywhere meant, well, ANYWHERE! :)

I thought I was the only person who was still in love with using regular mail! I’m dying to win this giveaway. I’m a former first grade teacher, so I have a pretty neat handwriting (typically print).

I’ve gotten sloppy over the years with writing. I think I’ve invented my own combination of print and cursive :)

I love penmanship and calligraphy, so I try very hard to add a bit of flair to my handwriting. Most of the time, of course, I’m typing.
Emily Shoup says

I write using a mix of cursive and print. My own hybrid. Nothing special, but it’s neat and easy to read!
Kristin F. says

I have a bizarre Frankenstein style of writing; part caps, part cursive, part printing, and mostly unreadable.
Kellie says
Press me! Love letterpress stationary – and these examples are just fabulous. My handwriting is very neat and legible – what’s the point of writing something if it can’t be read?!
Christina says
PRESS ME!
I print and the most defining aspect of my writing is that I write all Rs like “R” just small for lowercase and I write lowercase As like “a” instead of a circle with a tail.
Did that make sense?
Ring says

I usually have semi-neat handwriting, but when I’m writing notes to myself, it looks like chicken scratch!
Sam says

I am exclusively cursive. It pains me to write in print!
Rachel says
Press me! My handwriting is pretty atrocious actually, in a really quirky, half print-half cursive sort of way.
Helen Jean S says
Oh my gosh, seeing my first/middle name in print, I just had to enter my first contest. A mix of cursive and print, sometimes legible, sometimes not. Love to send/receive stationary for all occasions and love the samples shown!

Hmm my writing, AKA my current nemesis! As i spend so much time relying on the computer to communicate my writing (which once used to be lovely) now leads a lot to be desired. I have recently started to force myself to slooooow down, write not in capitals and make words legible…this gorgeous stationery would encourage lovely writing again me thinks!
