Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’m an architect, so I often write in all caps, but when I want to write more quickly, my handwriting is half cursive, half print.
Emily @ Waldo Bungie says
PRESS ME! I do a combination of print and cursive….prusive, if you will!

Press me!!! I love handwritten notes and am half cursive half print. A handwritten note in the mail always puts a smile on someone’s face :) Love it

My handwriting is a mix of print and cursive. I think I got it from my mom, she writes the same way!
Chelsea says
PRESS ME – I am left handed and write in a cursive/print mix with my hand “hooked” over the paper – I try to avoid handwriting but I’ve been in grad school the past 3 years so it’s been difficult!

I never write in cursive, unless it’s my signature, which looks less like actual words and more like random scribbles. (I started getting too lazy to sign my whole name since it took too long and started just using the first letter of my first and last name with scribbles after each.) In high school I forced myself to write more “girly” (more rounded letters) cause I thought my writing was too “boyish” :)

Wow. I LOVE letterpress (duh, who doesn’t) so this is an awesome giveaway. I’m all about hand written notes and thank you cards but I don’t think there is anything special about my handwriting. I cross my zeros, so I guess there’s that!

My handwriting is definitely script and readable. I love cursive writing, but rarely can pull it off. I forget how to write certain letters b/c I use it so rarely!! I do love handwritten notes. I think it is an art that our generation is slowly losing due to technology.
Emily says
PRESS ME!!! Man, what beautiful stationary – how to decide on a favorite? You guys do the best giveaways. I’ve always fancied my writing style to be kind of a modern, artistic look but my husband recently informed me that he can never read my writing since it’s so “sloppy” – imagine my surprise! With such pretty stationary, though, who cares what your writing looks like!
Christy Q says
PRESS ME! I write in a combination of cursive and print. It’s my own unique style and it is what has worked for me. When I was in grade school, I always got a note from the teacher at the end of each marking period saying something along the lines of needing to improve my penmanship and needed to practice more often as I would always have a “C”. Do schools still “grade” penmanship these days?
Jenn Godwin says
Press me! I write in a print and cursive mix! Given that I teach middle school children I should be a better example!

Whenever I have to print (I usually write in cursive) I always dot my “i” before I make the line!

PRESS ME! Depends on the letter whether it is cursive or print.

My handwriting is a messy mix of cursive and print. I definitely don’t follow the lessons from my first-grade teacher.
Lauren says
PRESS ME! For anything any one else is likely to see, usually cursive which tends to look more consistently nice than my print. Though, from looking down at notes I wrote down purely for myself this morning, apparently I go back and forth, but mainly still write cursive (I kind of miss it after so much typing!)

I strive to write in all cursive, but it usually ends up being a mix of both cursive and print. I can’t stand, however, when people right it all caps! Drives me nuts!
What about you guys??

Hey Elle,
John has pretty nondescript boy handwriting (not too sloppy, but definitely not belonging to a girl) and I have loopy almost illegible scribble with oddities like uppercase “r”s mixed in the middle of words. I got my crazy scribbling habit from my mom (she’s a lawyer and is famous around the office for her hard-to-read handwriting).

how i write depends on how i feel…i’m not usually in love with my writing, but sometimes my cursive writing turns our nice. Since becoming Mrs.Herman (somewhat recently) I’ve had to re-design my signature and have yet to stumble on something i like. When i write really fast i print and it turns out sorta nice – kinda a modern feel to it.

I write in my own personal hybrid of cursive and print, though my handwriting is generally pretty abysmal. My “e”s look like “l”s, my “a”s look like “o”s, and my “H”s look like “M”s (making handwritten versions of the word such as “Hear” look suspiciously like “Mlor”)

I love “The Dictionary” notecards. I would definitely make good use of those!
I’ve been told that my handwriting looks like I write in italics. I guess that’s a compliment? If italics is a stlye, then that’s what I’ve got. :)

I am a mostly print, some cursive kinda gal. My s’s tend to be a cross of print and cursive (probably since there are 2 in my name). It varies though, probably depending on how quick I am writing.

PRESS ME! What a great giveaway! I mostly print but when I’m in a hurry I do a combo cursive/print. I also make my “g”s really swirly….and write mostly in lowercase!

I switch between writing in cursive and print. People who know me a while before seeing my handwriting are shocked by my meticulous penmanship. I went to a private school and every day we had writing exercises — we went letter by letter through the alphabet in print and cursive. So by default, I have extremely neat, even handwriting though I’m pretty relaxed with everything else.
HdoubleA says
PRESS ME! I type constantly so my handwriting doesn’t get much practice.
Macey says
PRESS ME! I combine print and cursive. If I find a pen that I love writing with I try to hold onto it as long as possible, sometimes pens make the handwriting!
BABS says
Press Me! There is nothing more heartwarming than receiving a handwritten note in the mail. I believe the art is dying.
I have pretty nice penmanship – went to a catholic school and the nuns stood over you and insisted on good penmanship skills. I do use cursive but every once in a while I do find myself adding some printing.
