Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

PRESS ME! I pretty much only print. These cards are great!
Steph Lewis says
PRESS ME.
I’ve always tried my best to emulate my Daddy’s ALL-CAP script. His penmanship is so impressive (as are a few other attributes). Truth be told, I’ve found a great hybrid between his and mine. I guess it’s genetic?
Gadora LOVES her some fancy letter-press.
Mandy says
Press Me! My writing is a mixture…mostly cursive but with a little bit of printing thrown in every now and then.
M C says
PRESS ME!
Cursive and print mix.
Laura says
Press Me! I think I have wonderful writing, however DH begs to differ. I do a printed/cursive thing that allows me to lift the pen as little as possible.
Liz says
PRESS ME!
oh my goodness oh my goodness of my GOODness i LOVE STATIONERY! even better, i’m a word nerd and a music geek…i play a weekly spelling bee (at a pizza brew pub; it’s not That nerdy) and i play classical piano. i’d have to think REALLY hard about which envelope interior i’d go for, but dang, that lined envelope would be perfect either way!
Caroline says
PRESS ME! I only obeyed handwriting lessons in grade school so I could graduate from the chunky pencils. The rules drove me nutty! These days, my handwriting can shift from neat as a pin printing to a disaster hybrid of cursive and printing that only I can decipher. Regardless, I love sending handwritten notes and adore the “Signature” set.

I love cursive writing and I love sending personalized thank-you cards. In 2nd grade I was chosen to write a letter from our class to the President since I had the best hand-writing! I take great pride in it and believe hand-written notes are a lost art!
Jeanie says
Press Me! It’s my birthday today…so I think my handwriting will be a little more celebratory….a lot of print with some fancy curlicues just to say hey…I’m a year older. The finance department is really going to love that! Woohoo!

I only print, my cursive really stinks..and you know what? they’re not even going to teach it anymore, how does that rub you?..it rubs me the wrong way!
Sandra says

I write in a tradition, sloppy cursive/printing mash-up. It’s pretty much a disaster.
Carmen says
PRESS ME
I exclusively print, although many of the letters are joined together as in cursive writing (but the individual letters are the printing ones – if that makes sense). The strangest thing about my writing, and something that drives my mother nuts, is that I’m right-handed, yet my writing slants the direction of a left-handed person.
Mike T says
PRESS ME – I typically start writing as neatly as possible but I inevitably end up getting a bit messy by the end of my sheet of paper.
Heather S says
PRESS MEEEE!!
i have really unique handwriting. people always recognize it right away. i do certain letters is cursive, some in caps, some in lord knows what. i also play with the size of different letters. it’s good fun!! =]
Antonia says

My writing style isn’t all that special – I love writing with ink and handwriting in general, but college and practicality mean that I am usually just typing, not handwriting anymore. Sad times.
Cherie says
PRESS ME! I always hand write everything. I would love to win these for my daughter and her husband!
Kim Connor says
Press me! Cursive most of the time.

Right now, it’s architectural style because of my courses in interior design!
Jenn says

Hmm. I switch back and forth between printing and cursive. An odd thing about my printing is that I don’t dot my i’s.
Sarah M says

My handwriting isn’t super… it’s a combo of cursive and print! I hand-write all my letters and such, but work requires typing up reports.
Shermi says
Press Me!
Most of the time my handwriting is my version of cursive, I get a lot of compliments on my handwriting which is funny because as a child in the gifted program I remember getting messy written on all my papers.
Dana Beth says
PRESS ME! My handwriting is constantly evolving- i do a hybrid of cursvive and print- I always have a few favorite letters which have a little more flair to them than the rest.- i get excited when i get to write my favorite letters.

Melissa says

liz says

depending on the mood, I like to think it’s consistent within each writing, legible and neat, but it can change from cursive to print and even different styles of each.

I completely avoid cursive at all costs – lets just say I’ve been known to hide atrocious spelling in the chaos that is my cursive…. ^_^
Emily says
Press Me! I am a print kind of girl; cursive has never been my thing!
Erin says
Press Me! I’m kind of one of those weird people who alternate between cursive and print all in the same session. Don’t know what that’s all about!
JulieA says
Press Me! I alternate too. But, generally, I try to avoid since I think my handwriting has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. Or, maybe I’m just out of practice with all these computers!
Amber says
PRESS ME!!!
I use a cursive/print combo!
MeganB says
Press Me! I have the most ungirly handwriting around. It’s pretty embarrassing.
Rebie says
Press Me! I write in all styles it just depends on if I’m in a hurry or not. My signature is almost identical to my mother’s which is kinda funny because we do share the same name.
krissy says

always a cursive/print undercase/uppercase combo! what a mess! ha! :)
Krissy I says

I right in all caps all the time. It’s something I picked up in drafting class in high school and haven’t been able to shake.
Christi says
PRESS ME! My handwriting is a mix of cursive & print.
Melissa McClain says

Both my mom and dad have bee-utiful handwriting, so I’ve been plagued with handwriting envy for my whole life. Mine is a mixture of both of theirs, but it’s still not as enjoyable as either of their penmanship. I often save handwriting samples (fronts of envelopes, etc.) of the handwritings I love and spend a week trying to phase it into my own. Sometimes I get into a really impressive print – but then when I try too hard it fails me and it turns into my middle-of-the-road, legible writing once more.
Cate says
PRESS ME!! When I write I use really messy print and just sign in cursive. However, I am trying to write more in cursive to model for my 4th grade students. They really don’t see much cursive and can’t read it at all. I just hope the more they see it, the more it inspires them to write with it.
Lori says
PRESS ME
i do a combination of print and cursive….but all printing when i am with my second grade students!
Allison says
Press me! My handwriting is a mix of cursive and print. I once had my eighth grade teacher tell me that it was a trait of psychopaths…needless to say, I didn’t really like her all that much after that. :)
