Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.
And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.
The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).
The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.
The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.
The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.
Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):
- PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Im a cursive messy angled writter. Unless I am writing letters or post cards then I try REALLY hard to write nice with my fun calligraphy pens <3

My handwriting is a bad mix of cursive and print…I was outside playing in the dirt when girls were practicing handwriting I guess!
Allison says
PRESS ME! I loved ‘the dictionary’ immediately. I write in caps/lowercase/cursive/print as I wish. My school teacher friend finds reading my writing difficult since punctuation and capital letters don’t always follow the rules. I do however keep letter writing alive. There is nothing like receiving a note from a friends in the mail box. Email doesn’t always do the trick.

I alternate cursive and block. Weird, I know. :-)
Lissa says

My handwriting is an odd/lazy mixture between cursive and print but if I was writing on that beautiful stationary, its doubtful anyone would notice my handwriting!
Kat says

I love to write letters, they are so much more personal than an email. I have always written in print, but the letters kind of blend together to look like cursive sometimes :)

My handwriting seems to change along with my mood. I’ve always thought I could probably hand-write a ransom note and then fool a handwriting expert.

my penmanship is a mixed print-cursive, left handed and I’m swooning at the signature (and I don’t swoon), was that invented just for me?

I’m a HUGE fan of personalized stationery and I feel that handwritten notes are a lost art. My handwriting is a mix between print and cursive. It depends on the day, situation, and my mom. And it’s legible either way. :-)

I don’t have a specific writing style, except when it comes to my signature. I spent years perfecting that baby!

I LOVE a handwritten note My writing style has evolved practically into the exact same as my dad’s. We both rock the all-caps architect style.

I think I have pretty nice handwriting when I’m not in a rush also. I use mostly regular print but I connect my letters together so it makes it look slightly cursive :)
Kelly says
PRESS ME…I love The Signature!!! I’m definitely a combination of print and script. Of course, part of my job requires teaching penmanship to young children, so I always try to do my best manuscript during those times!
Joanna says
PRESS ME! I write in print the first line and the my writing becomes messy.
Fiona says

PRESS ME….I would say that my writing style is electic I guess. It is a mix of cursive and print…..especially my L’s, G’s, and Y’s.

My handwriting varies depending on my mood, and on what type of pen I am using! Some pens write so well in small, neat caps, while others are more chicken-scratch type pens. (I try to keep the nice neat cap writing pens on hand)

I type so much faster than I write…plus I’m a teacher and I hate trying to decipher my students’ handwriting! :) So I try to avoid it. I do, however, like my signature–really big J at the beginning, big Y at the end.

I mainly write in plain old non-cursive print, but sometimes a little bit of cursive is enter-twined with it.
Jill Zimmerman says

I love sending handwritten notes, and find my handwriting varies depending on the nature of the note. A formal thank you is stodgy and upwrite, a casual hello is bubbly and big, and a love note (during the year my boyfriend and I lived in different cities) is always flowy and whimsical. The hardest part is maintaining the same style throughout the note!

I have a complete mix in my style of writing, and it changes everyday. I’d like to say it’s legible, but most of the time I can’t even read it! ;)

I am a printer – and my handwriting is getting worse the older I get!! I blame a combination of college note taking and a job where I mainly type…

I’m a lefty, so my handwriting was never beautiful; but it is pretty identifiable. I write mostly in cursive, with more breaks between the letters than my 2nd grade teacher would approve of. I almost never write capitals in cursive either. Does anyone really use the cursive ‘Q’ that looks like a 2 any more?

I tend to write in cursive- though honestly I’m on the computer so much you’d think I’d forgotten how to write.
I do love a personalized, handwritten note though- just makes you feel loved and appreciated.

I am an engineer and have the typical horrible engineer’s handwriting. If I make an effort, it looks nice, but most of the time I am in too much of a rush to try. As for the style, it is a mixture of cursive and print.
I love a handwritten note and have been on the look-out for some nice letterpress stationary (that is affordable). Thanks for this great opportunity to win some!

My handwriting is terrible!!! I type everything, so a handwritten note from me is a treasure! My writing tends to be a mix of print and cursive, developed in college when I couldn’t seem to take notes fast enough.

These are gorgeous! I love hand writing notes (and getting handwritten notes), they always seem so much more thoughtful! My handwriting is a mixture of print and cursive. How pretty it is, usually depends on how much of a hurry I’m in….

I write in really neat writing with the appropriate mix of uppercase and lowercase letters. I’m a second grade teacher, and I’m constantly modeling correct handwriting. I wish I had some beautiful, whimsical writing, but, no… teacher writing it is!

Sadly, I’ve pretty much lost my cursive. I have no patience to form all the letters and it ends up looking like a mess. Once of my writing quirks is that I never, ever dot the letter i. Not really sure why.

I have heard, literally from more than one person, that while I have very visually pleasing penmanship, it is very difficult to actually read.
So basically its pretty, but not functional. Great.

I have slightly bubbly, somewhat large handwriting; I am an English teacher, so having clear penmanship is par for the course. I dislike writing in cursive, mostly because I don’t think my writing is as aesthetically pleasing as my printing. I admit that lovely-looking cursive is an increasingly diminishing art form.
Great giveaway! The Dictionary is my favorite style, although they are all beautiful.

I’m a schizophrenic when it comes to handwriting…engineering style all caps at work, cursive on personal correspondence, fun printing with my children. I’m always trying to switch it up!

My handwriting used to be so great, but now that I’m not in school anymore, feverishly scribbling down notes, it’s gotton so much worse…and sending emails all day doesn’t help things much. But I do love sending and receiving mail!!

My writing style depends on the document. As an avid letter/card/note sender, I tend to lean towards a print/cursive hybrid. These beautiful notes would be a great addition to my stationery collection and help me keep in touch beautifully with my friends and family.
