I’m gonna bust out some flashback lingo from YHL circa 2008: prepare to swoon. This week’s giveaway is from our lovely sponsor Jessica Rose at Vol. 25, home to some of the most charming art around. I mean, how can you not fall for these robotic lovebirds?
The great thing is that Jessica’s artwork comes in the form of prints, t-shirts, rubber stamps, mouse pads, books and even photoshop overlays (so you can add a little hand-drawn flare to a photo). And since we couldn’t even begin to pick just a few favorite items for the giveaway, Jessica’s hooking up TWO of you with $50 gift cards towards anything in her shop (plus there’s a discount awaiting everyone on Thursday so stay tuned for that). Now you that know what’s up for grabs – how ’bout some more eye candy?
And here are all the contest deets:
- PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards anything from Vol. 25’s shops on Etsy or Zazzle.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with either the words “PUMP IT UP” or “TURN IT DOWN” depending on…
- BONUS QUESTION: … whether you love a loud and lively lifestyle or you prefer to keep things quiet and peaceful. Do you feel better surrounded by lots of activity, energizing music, or boisterous laughter? Or would you rather find yourself in an intimate conversation, enjoying soothing nature sounds, or quietly reading a book?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 21th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: TWO
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world! Woo to the hoo.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

TURN IT DOWN
I definitely enjoy Pump It Up time, but overall I enjoy peacefullness…just hanging out with my dog and my hubby and reading a great book.
Jessica says
TURN IT DOWN!
I’m a mixture of both but I definitely find myself more comfortable in a quiet place. I prefer yoga over zumba if that tells you something!
Kate H. says
TURN IT DOWN…
Please. A comfy spot, a mild breeze, fresh flowers and a good book are an antidote to the craziness outside my home.
Kandace says
PUMP IT UP!!
Quiet time for me is when my kids are screaming at each other and the dog isn’t howling at some random person…I LOVE having the music up and dancing around with my kids, having it on while I clean or do work. It keeps me moving and motivated. Music aside, I love getting projects done and moving. I get cabin fever entirely too quickly and need to get out and do something! Thankfully my kids are the same way…just need to get homebody husband on board now!

Turn it down and Pump it up!
Sometimes, solitude with a cup of tea and a good book is all I need, other times I prefer to be in the thick of the action. All depends on the mood.

TURN IT DOWN
The world today is too fast paced – when you take away the computer and the cell phone you suddenly realize how amazing it is to just sit and enjoy a spring afternoon, or how much better food tastes that you have spent a few hours preparing.
I am always trying to balance the crazy connectedness of our world today with a calmer slower life!

I definitely am a quiet place person – give me a big porch, a comfy chair and a summer breeze and I’m a happy gal. Of course, I’ll have to wait another 15 years or so before my kids leave home so until then, the noise canceling headphone is the best invention EVER. ;-)
