Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).
As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?
And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).
So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:
- PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Since I just got married, we may be starting one of those “family” photo card traditions this year. However, the only child in sight will be our dog, Boomer. Should be fun.

The years I do send cards (a bit lazy in that area, I’m afraid) I prefer to use UNICEF cards. They are awesome and I’d like to think I’ve helped a child somewhere in the world

I’m really looking forward to getting married and having little ones so I can make some cute photo cards. :) For now, it’s just traditional cards. However, this year and last year I have been into making funny Elf Yourself videos and sending them to my family. My mom laughs every time. :)

I usually do a digital card that I print at Walgreen’s and then adhere to cardstock. But we are bypassing the Christmas cards this year since our baby is due on 1/12 and we’ll just do birth announcements.

Usually we abstain from the Christmas cards, until this year (we added our own little bean in 2008). Photo card, letter and REALLY late birth announcements will all go out in the same envelope! :o)

I’ve been abstaining from the madness the past couple of years but I suppose I’ll be getting on the wagon soon with a traditional holiday card.

I am a huge fan of snail mail, so I love mailing out picture Christmas cards. Typically I make my poor husband take tons of pics with me so that I can find the “perfect” picture for our card. Not this year (trust me, my man is a happy camper)! This year I went through all of the (millions) pics that we have taken this year and picked out my fave. I order the cards and they will be here tomorrow. When I told him that it was all finished he was surprised since he didn’t have to sit somewhere in the house for hours pretending to smile for the camera. ;)

Every year we send out a card and our favorite photo from the year- sometimes it’s a fancy special, sometimes totally candid, but always us!

I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (sell cardmaking and rubber stamping supplies) so I usually make my own cards. This year I’m using a new digital crafting software program to make my own digital cards and calendars as gifts! Fun times.

This is our first Christmas as a married couple and we just found out that the Army is transferring us the week after Christmas so we’re feeling a little bit of pressure to pull off Christmas. BUT if it weren’t up to this move eating up our budget, I’d really like to do a cute card to all of our friends and family.

We do picture cards.
Sonja says
EMMY ME!
We’ve never really had a traditional family photo taken, and it’s nearly impossible to get all 3 of our girls together for a decent photo. Therefore, I usually design my own cards with 3 separate photos. However, this year, I may try to take our own version of the traditional (our family = quirky) family photo for our Christmas cards …we shall see … :)
Robin C. says
Emmy me!! I haven’t sent out cards in 4 years, people probably still think I have toddlers! This year, I ordered Shutterfly cards with a picture of my 3 boys at the beach.
