Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).
As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?
And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).
So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:
- PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I love making my own cards with a rubber stamp or with pretty paints.
Jocelyn says
Emmy me!!
What a love gift that would keep on giving. There is nothing better than getting a little note or card from a friend or loved one. Would love to send these out!
Usually due to cost and time, I just send out pre-fab cards found at Target. But would love to do something extra special, like Emmy lou designs.

I do an ecard photo card w/ my dog — it’s cheesy & totally makes me “one of those dog owners” but they’re cute & they save on postage!
Danielle K says
EMMY ME!
We photoshopped our dogs :)
Heidi says
EMMY ME! We just hope by December we have a decent photo of the two of us to put on a Chrstmas card–this year it will go on card bought at Target after Christmas last year-which I never do!!
Adele says
EMMY ME, please! I am traditional Christmas card kinda gal.
Maureen says
EMMY ME!
Call me old fashioned, but I’m really big on sending cards, notes, letters, you name it! Nothing beats receiving mail. So I send out a pretty Christmas card every year to family and friends all over (sans pictures, since I’m just a single gal at this point). But by next Christmas I’ll be married, so I could really benefit from all the fun designs over the next year!
Rachel Ridd says
emmy me! I abstain. I’m not a big card person, but if I did send them, it would only be out to out of town friends. I do not get why people send Christmas cards to people they’re going to see during the holidays! I LOVE Christmas, but this is one thing I am not on board with.

This is such an awesome prize! We always do some sort of photo card and since my husband is in the military we usually try to do it with him in uniform so our families can see him all dressed up!
Mandy says
EMMY ME!
We are traditional Christmas card people with the obligatory letter and family photo.
Mandy says
EMMY ME!
I always have great intentions at sending out Christmas cards with pictures and a family update, but we usually fail to get a family picture taken in time. Maybe Emmy will help this year!

EMMY ME!
I do cards but usually try to add a little extra something, like tucking a recipe card for one of my favorite holiday recipes into the card. Next year I’m thinking of sending out CDs of holiday songs instead of a card.
mandy says
EMMY ME! I know I really should send Christmas cards, but I’ve been a slacker up until this year. I have high hopes of actually sending some out this year, but who knows it it will really happen.

We actually photoshop our english bulldog. If I win, I’ll show you the card! LOL.

Even though my husband is a professional photographer, we’re not doing a photo card. But we’ve picked up some awesome cards to keep in the true celebration of Christmas to pass along our thoughts and prayers to our loved ones!
jennifer says
EMMY ME!
we tackle a different photographic approach each year (sometimes serious, sometimes quirky and fun), but always get out handwritten christmas cards to our closest friends and family. hopefully we’ll never be too busy for that tradition.

We usually funny (either homemade or purchased) and something serious. I like that we can send comical cards to maost people.

EMMY ME!
This year, my fiance and I made holiday cards with our engagement photo on it using Shutterfly. I love sending (and receiving) mail so this giveaway is awesome!
Rachel says
EMMY ME!
We have done both the photo and standard cards in the past.
Anna See says
Emmy Me! We always take a Christmas card photo, sometimes preceeded by a lot of griping and arguing. This year wee took one with all of us, dog included, wearing Snuggies. We’re hoping people will know we’re trying to be ironic.
Sarah says
EMMY ME! we usually go to fancy stationary stores after christmas and buy cards for the next year. anything that looks handmade!
erin says
emmy me!
golly, i’m not too much for christmas cards, though i’ve been known to do shutterfly cards that involve groups of people putting on elaborately silly costumes for the photo shoot. mostly i keep my mailing of lovely cards to every other week of the year! (seriously- mail might be one of my spiritual gifts.)

This year is a picture of the baby…I told my husband that no one wants to see pics of us anymore! =)
Christina says
EMMY ME!!!!
We normally send out a photo card with our daughter but decided not to this year…we just ran out of time!
Courtney says
EMMY ME!
Since we had our son just over a year ago, we have sent out a photo greeting card with a sentence updating everyone on something special that happened to each of us that year. It is an easier version of a Christmas letter.:)
Kelly J says
EMMY ME! My Christmas card last year included us and our 3 pugs. Dressed in christmas outfits (them, not us humans.) Poor fiance got ripped apart by his friends.
We showed them… our wedding RSVP cards are a insanely hilarious picture of our pug lookin’ crazy that say “CRAZY IN LOVE” on them!!!!
Katie says
EMMY ME! What a fab prize.
I do hand written notes. As my husband and I don’t have children, we think it’s a little strange to show everyone how much we’ve grown year over year. :-)
Ashley says
EMMY ME!
Instead of doing the “traditional” Christmas card in December, we wait until January to send out greetings for a New Year. Then we can personalize them more, such as, “It was great seeing you at Grandma’s house on Christmas. You get more fabulous every year!”
Sarah S says
EMMY ME!
We send out traditional Christmas cards, sometimes with a letter and/or photo inside. This year is going to be plain-Jane since we pretty much look the same as last year and there’s not much noteworthy news to report.
Heather says
EMMY ME
I use store bought cards, but usually include a Christmas themed picture of us and/or our pets.
Caroline says
EMMY ME!!!! I procrastinated and I don’t want to have to rush ship holiday cards
Sarah S says
EMMY ME!!!!!!!!!
Last year I sent, via snail mail, a group pic of my brothers and I on a Walgreens Produced Photo Card! I plan to do something similar again this year!
jennifer says
EMMY ME! I would totally use this. I know four friends who just got engaged and three who are having babies…It seems I will be throwing showers monthly in 2010! My husband and I are embarking on our first holiday christmas card. Probably something simple and short…more about appreciating the person recieving it and less about what we are doing.
Rebekah M says
EMMY ME!! This year we are using a wedding photo!

Sigh..I have yet to send out a Christmas card since being married:)Now with a baby on the way, this may put a little fire under my butt:)
Mandi says

I also send a Christmas letter, along with a card and a photo of my kids. I don’t understand it but I have people beg me to get on my card list because they have read the letter I have sent their friends or family. Maybe because I am brutally honest about our year good and bad. It tends to end up being kinda funny.
It’s one of my favorite things to do each year. Getting my cards ready and mailed.
Jamara R says
EMMY ME!!
My husband, three girls & I take a family picture every year. We have cards printed up with the pictures and send a traditional Christmas letter updating friends & family of all that’s happened in the past year. This year our pictures were taken on train carts w/ the fall leaves in the background. Love them!!
Kylee says
EMMY ME
I buy Christmas cards on clearance after Christmas and save them for next year!
Sarah says
EMMY ME!
Some years we send handwritten cards to a handful of people, some years photos to the giant list of family and friends, depending on time and planning-ahead-ness.
Sally F. says
EMMY ME! Take a photo of my hubs & me. I send out pretty many!
Teresa says
EMMY ME!
I make my own cards every year. I also include a letter that has become very popular with my friends….they do things during the year, just to make the Christmas letter.
EJR says
My family used to do a picture of all of us together. The year that my sister was abroad in brazil my brother was put in charge of photoshopping her into the pic. We had gotten into a fight earlier that day and he decided to make one of my girls bigger than the other to get revenge. It wasn’t until after the cards had been sent out that he confessed.

EMMY ME! We usually buy Christmas cards that strike our fancy. This year though, we’re going to take a picture of either our decorated house or Christmas tree with our only child- an 80lb Golden Retriever- in front of it and use that as our card.
