Fab Freebie: Seventy Sixers

Yesterday was our sixth wedding anniversary. So in memory of our 7/7/07 wedding, we’re hosting a giveaway that combines the traditional gifts from your 1st anniversary (paper) and 6th (sugar) because, well, 1 + 6 = 7 and you know we try to squeeze in a seven whenever we can. First up is Rifle Paper Company. We hung some of their city art in our old hallway, so we were pumped when they offered up a $500 gift card for one of you. You can grab anything from their art prints, stationery, and wrapping paper to their iPhone cases, recipe boxes, or anything else that suits your fancy. We especially love the personalized heart print in the lower right.

And for your sugar rush, we’ve asked one of our favorite sweetmakers, Snickety-Snacks, to hook someone up with $200 worth of customized treats. You may remember the tasty dragon cookies we bought from them for Clara’s birthday. They can work from any inspiration point, color scheme, or party theme. Oh, and if you live near them (they’re based in Northern VA) you can even order cakes or other goodies.

    OH my gosh. I actually gasped at my desk when I saw this- I am in love with everything Anna does at Rifle Paper Co…. I am crossing my fingers and toes for this one!!!!!

    But more importantly- CONGRATS on another year together!
    The first time I started following your blog was your wedding post, so I always love seeing another anniversary post. You two are such a power couple and excellent role models for couple who totally keep it real.

      We email them and do our best to post a PS on a Thursday or Friday post as well, but we always announce the winner in the original post. So whether we add the ps or not, it’s always right there in the rafflecopter box for ya if you scroll back a page or two :)

    Is it weird feeling to have a giveaway post and not have 10k comments to deal with? Do you miss the random answers to your questions people would come up with? Or just thrilled to cut down on that insane amount of emails in your inbox?

      It’s awesome! It definitely gives us more time to plan projects, get materials, or have fun with Clara instead of manually approving thousands of comments, so it feels like a better use of our time :)

    Looks like the 3 of you had a GREAT Anniversary yesterday! It’s so nice to see you all enjoying everything from the house, your company, summer & especially Clara! My fiance & I are getting married in September, thanks for your wedding post EVERYTHING is coming along. I literally have used it as a model from the beginning! It’s a great resource. We are having cookies in lieu of cake, so the Snickety-Snack gift card would be PERFECT! Icing Cookies are my favorite & Geoff’s are Oreos, so we’ll have both at the wedding, as well as our grandmother’s specialties!!

    P.S. I met you 2 in Houston, when you signed my baseball… unfortunately several weeks later my entire collection was stolen when my apartment got broken into. Another reason I could never send you the picture we took b/c my camera was taken with the picture on it. Any chance I can mail you another ball to sign for the new collection? To date, I’ve only replaced 1 ball but it’s a work in progress = )

    And just so I only leave one comment today: I love your blue door! I was totally on the black door bandwagon after reading Katie Bower’s post the other day but now I’m like, “Paint the doors ALL THE COLORS!” I frequently drive past a house with a bright fuchsia door. It’s by a stop sign so I get to gaze at it a bit, and it’s just the cheeriest house ever.
