Good news – the prize pot is now up to over $500! Even better news (at least for one lucky person) random.org has selected our winner as… Karina (who notes that both teaching and learning to share is hard, just ask her kiddos). Congrats Karina!
As we mentioned last week along with our curator collection, Joss & Main offers small referral fees in the form of store credit to anyone who refers someone who makes a purchase, but we wanted to pay those forward. So instead of accepting the referral fees, we saved all of those credits up in a separate “gift account” so we could dish ‘em out in a big fat giveaway for one lucky reader this week. Oh and Joss & Main kindly donated $100 to get things rolling (and to ensure that we didn’t have nada to give away if no one signed up, haha). But guess what? It earned over $300 worth of referral credits! So if you add in the $100 from Joss & Main, the prize pot is up to over $400 for one lucky winner to spend on whatever they’d like!
- PRIZE: Ownership of the special Joss & Main referral account that we’ve set up, which has an account credit of $430!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SHARE ME” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … a funny / touching / harrowing sharing story. Maybe about the time you had to share a hotel room with your boss on a business trip? Or the challenges of teaching your kids to share? Or a memory of when you and your siblings shared a bathroom / car / wardrobe growing up?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 4th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Joss & Main.

I think sharing one bedroom with my two sisters was the most sharing I have done. It was annoying at times, but it left us with some really great memories. :)

SHARE ME!! My little guy always shares his cookie with me at the grocery store. The bakery staff knows us by name and gives him one to start the shopping trip with. Would love to use the credit to add some color to our dreadful living room :)

Once on a family road trip, my 3 siblings and I had to share one snickers bar as a snack. That was not fun sharing, but i’ll never forget that one small bite!

My sister moved into my condo as a roomate last year after 7 years of not living together… best part is, we have the same size feet. Sharing is awesome!

Share me. I love trying to get my sister to share her food at restaurants. She hates sharing so it is just a way for me to continue to harass my lil sister at 30!

My main problem right now is sharing decorating decisions with my husband. I figure he should feel grateful to be cooperating with someone who has perfect ideas all the time, but somehow he doesn’t see it quite that way…

I like to sample food off of others peoples plates. I’m not shy about it either. One time when I was about 15 I was eating dinner at my best friends house. I reached over to grab a piece of broccoli off my friends plate, when her moms fork poked me. Luckily for me, she didn’t stab too hard, but I learned not to eat off of others peoples plates…at least not at her house. haha

I have 4 sisters and 1 brother, so I’ve always had to share a room. Even in college, I always had roommates. Now that I have my own apartment, I don’t know what to do. I’m so bored.

SHARE ME!!! What a fabulous giveaway. I’m so glad I don’t have to share a bathroom with my older brother anymore! Too bad it’s been like 10 years since we’ve shared a bathroom…but you get my point!

My sisters and I had trouble sharing the tube of toothpaste in the morning growing up. Seriously we would fight in the morning over who got to use the tooth paste first. Thank heavens we grew out of that sharing-fiasco!

I grew up with all brothers, so I was lucky that I never had to share anything (toys, clothes, room) growing up. It definitely makes being married a lot more of an adjustment! I feel like I share everything these days – dresser space, food, car, bed….I wouldn’t have it any other way though!

I share a cubicle at work with my office mate, and we share our life stories with each other as they happen. It’s been sweet and helpful (we all need to vent!) and she’s been a great friend.

When I was visiting Barcelona by myself, the day I was slated to catch the train back to Valencia I got to the station much earlier than I expected. So instead of just waiting around the underwhelming rail station, I decided to explore the station neighborhood…which was super old, full of streets with no names that would start at stop and twisted and turned. With my limited high school/elementary school Spanish it suddenly occurred to me I was quite lost and needed to figure out how to get back. Speaking with people I’d run in to every couple of streets I finally managed to get back up to the main road that would take me to the rail station. I was so thrilled to see the stone steps I raced up them! Needless to say it was an interesting adventure!

Share me! Back home, my parents, teenage brother, older sister (she just moved back and is temporarily staying at home), and I all share one bathroom. We definitely have to have a shower schedule to get 5 people through there in the morning! Luckily, I’m off at school most of the time!

My fiance’s family put us up in a lovely hotel in the mountains as a surprise overnight. We had nothing with us, except what was in my purse because we thought we were going there for lunch only. We had to share a tooth brush. We had to flip our underwear inside out for the next day. It was fun and gross.

SHARE ME! I once had to share a van with my church youth group driving from Indiana to Tennessee and back, one girl in the group made us listen to ‘Big Pimpin’ probably 900 times because she loved it so much. A little too much sharing for a church group I think haha!

“Share Me” While growing up my sisters and I had to share bedooms. The oldest one got the tiny room all to herself–then the next three of us shared the bedroom together for many years until our oldest sister moved out and the next in line went to the tiny room. We all loved that tiny little room–I think because we waited so long to have it for our own…

Share me. I have four sisters growing up we shared everything. I’ll share two stories. The bathroom we all shared meant that we had a shower schedule when I was in high school and college, so two of us showered every morning. When I had my first job one of my sister’s was in H.S. I would leave for work before she did and get home much later, so apparently we had a “shared” wardrobe because things I knew I hadn’t worn would end up in my dirty clothes each week.
