Good news – the prize pot is now up to over $500! Even better news (at least for one lucky person) random.org has selected our winner as… Karina (who notes that both teaching and learning to share is hard, just ask her kiddos). Congrats Karina!
As we mentioned last week along with our curator collection, Joss & Main offers small referral fees in the form of store credit to anyone who refers someone who makes a purchase, but we wanted to pay those forward. So instead of accepting the referral fees, we saved all of those credits up in a separate “gift account” so we could dish ‘em out in a big fat giveaway for one lucky reader this week. Oh and Joss & Main kindly donated $100 to get things rolling (and to ensure that we didn’t have nada to give away if no one signed up, haha). But guess what? It earned over $300 worth of referral credits! So if you add in the $100 from Joss & Main, the prize pot is up to over $400 for one lucky winner to spend on whatever they’d like!
- PRIZE: Ownership of the special Joss & Main referral account that we’ve set up, which has an account credit of $430!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SHARE ME” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … a funny / touching / harrowing sharing story. Maybe about the time you had to share a hotel room with your boss on a business trip? Or the challenges of teaching your kids to share? Or a memory of when you and your siblings shared a bathroom / car / wardrobe growing up?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 4th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Joss & Main.

The hospital I used to work at had an outdated Doctor’s lounger which meant there were urinals all over the place and one out in the open toilet for all to share.

Share me! I have realized that having a toddler means that you HAVE to share everything. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed anything without having my little guy ask for a bite or two. I don’t mind it at all, I will find it a luxury the day I can have something all to myself again. :)

My friend (who lives in NY) and I (who live in CA) found an AMAZING purse in Manhattan a couple decades ago. It was too expensive to buy more than one, so we shared. Every six months we would mail it to the other to use. We did that faithfully until the purse literally fell apart!

I’m always trying to get my kids to share dessert, since I don’t want a whole piece by myself. One boy wouldn’t share food with me if we were dying on a desert island, LOL, but the other one always lets me have the first bite of anything he has! What a kid!

Apparently, when I was in kindergarten and they gave out cookies or cupcakes for someone’s birthday or whatever, I would save half of it to bring home for my little sister (later I became selfish and ate it all myself)

Share me! We’re all about the sharing where I come from. If you aren’t quick on the draw, there’s a good chance your food will disappear from your plate! My group of friends is always joking that one bad disease would take us all out because we’re constantly eating and drinking off one another! Oh well! Our mamas taught us well!

Share me! Lately my 19MO daughter has become obsessed with sharing my water. Whether it’s a cup or my Nalgene, she loves to sneakily get her little hands on it and take a few sips. Unfortunately, she then purposely dumps the rest out.

I used to hate having to share a bed with my sister on family vacations because she would always kick me and grind her teeth – the worst! But one time I was thankful to be sharing a bed with her – my family and I went to our lake cottage during the winter, and when we got there around 11PM, the power had been off for 3 days. Which meant it was absolutely freezing inside (about 30* F – brrrr). Snowmobiling season had just started, so the few motels in the area were booked, leaving us no choice but to stick it out and spend the night in the freezing cold with no heat or electricity. I put on as many clothes as I could (PJs, a robe, a scarf, a hat, mittens, etc.), and piled on the blankets in bed, but I could not get warm. My sister actually let me put my bare feet on her bare back so that I could warm them up – pretty nice of her, right?

I like to teach my kids how to share and bless others by providing meals for those that could use the extra help. Most recently a high school classmate had premature triplets that were in the hospital for quite awhile. They were traveling an hour everyday to see the babies while still taking care of their 4 year old and working. I provided many meals over the course of several months to help them out and let them know that someone cared about their burden.

I have been trying to teach my male cat not to bite our guest’s zippers. Yes – you heard me.. their zippers. For some reason, if you have a zipper, Diesel will find it, lay on you, and bite the hell out of it until he falls asleep. Its not only really awkward but also extremely hard to explain to your guests. Oh well. I gotta love him anyways.

When my brother and I were kids, he once woke us all up wailing miserably while sleep walking. We wondered what he could possibly be dreaming about that was making him so upset. We figured it out a few seconds later when we cried, “No Brittany! I will NOT share the last 2 ice cream sandwiches!!”

My 4 year old daughter cracked her chin open this weekend. She had to go to the emergency room and was a trooper. When leaving the hospital they asked her if she wanted a sticker for being so good….she replied “yes, please, but only if I can get one for my big brother and baby brother.” Warmed my mommy heart :)
