Good news – the prize pot is now up to over $500! Even better news (at least for one lucky person) random.org has selected our winner as… Karina (who notes that both teaching and learning to share is hard, just ask her kiddos). Congrats Karina!
As we mentioned last week along with our curator collection, Joss & Main offers small referral fees in the form of store credit to anyone who refers someone who makes a purchase, but we wanted to pay those forward. So instead of accepting the referral fees, we saved all of those credits up in a separate “gift account” so we could dish ‘em out in a big fat giveaway for one lucky reader this week. Oh and Joss & Main kindly donated $100 to get things rolling (and to ensure that we didn’t have nada to give away if no one signed up, haha). But guess what? It earned over $300 worth of referral credits! So if you add in the $100 from Joss & Main, the prize pot is up to over $400 for one lucky winner to spend on whatever they’d like!
- PRIZE: Ownership of the special Joss & Main referral account that we’ve set up, which has an account credit of $430!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SHARE ME” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … a funny / touching / harrowing sharing story. Maybe about the time you had to share a hotel room with your boss on a business trip? Or the challenges of teaching your kids to share? Or a memory of when you and your siblings shared a bathroom / car / wardrobe growing up?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 4th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Joss & Main.

Share me! I love sharing food out, my fiance has become accustom to us picking out 2 meals together so we each get to try 2 different dishes… The same applies when there’s more people at the table too! (I’m just not good at sharing the leftovers the next day!)

share me! [i’m over sharing] I recently had a bruise on my bottom from falling on my skate during derby practice and shared it with all of my co-workers who technically work in the medical field, so really its ok.

In college I participated in a study abroad program in London, and my roommates and I (all girls) had to share the down-the-hall bathroom with a group of 3 male students. After putting up with bad aim on (and around) the toilet for the semester (which may or may not have been due to excessive drunkenness on the boys’ part), I was definitely glad to go back to sharing a bathroom with only girls.

I grew up in a house with 4 girls and 2 boys (including my parents) and ONE bathroom! Needless to say, my sisters and I are pros at sharing the bathroom when getting ready. Now that I am married, I have the bathroom to myself and often get lonely when doing my hair or makeup!

SHARE ME! I thought it was sweet when my five year old shared his giant cookie he got as a reward for passing his level in swim class with his big brother. He decided to do this all on his own because he wanted to.

My sister and I shared a room for 16 years (until I went to college). We always complained about having to share a room because our brother had his own room. Funny thing was that never once did either of us mention wanting to move into the “guest room” that was always vacant.

Sharing… oh my. I’m a mom of two little ones. The oldest is three and my little boy just turned 2 on the 18th. How I wish I could snap my fingers and they would forever share! Until then, ill keep dreaming…. of that and this giveaway. Since my birthday is wednesday, it would be an awesome 27th bday gift. Dream, Dream, Dream…

In high school, I had to share a room with my brother. He was a year younger than I was and we fought like cats and dogs for three years. It’s a little awkward to share a room with your brother during high school, but we tried to make the best of it…well, we did when we weren’t trying to tape a line down the middle of the room… :)

SHARE ME! The first thought that popped in my head was my attempt at teaching my daughters to share – I find myself saying the words “we share in this family” fairly frequently. And hear them frequently from my 3-year old as she tries to remind her older sister of that fact. Only her version is louder – something along the lines of WE! SHARE! IN! THIS! FAMILY!

SHARE ME! I have done things to embarrass myself when I “overshare”. One was when I told a table full of people I thought the worse name combinations is Harold Richard (aka Harry Dick). One girl got really quite and said that is her grandpa’s name…whoops- sorry?!

Although unsuccessful, my mother very earnestly attempted to get my (infected) sister to “share” the chicken pox with my brother and me. It didn’t work, so I am one of the few nearly-30 adults who has never had the chicken pox.

SHARE ME! I used to share a bathroom with my sister and I guess the worst moment (for her) was when I realized she had “become a woman” by the evidence in the garbage can. I was relentless teasing her about it…good thing I matured and we are close now :)

My dad made my sister and I share a bedroom through junior high even though our house had a spare one. He thought that we would learn to get along. It was only after we had our own rooms that we stopped fighting!

Share Me! When the wife and I were out for breakfast I got a little over zealous with helping myself to her home fries. I was told to get my own home fries if I liked them that much; she was not in the sharing mood!

Not exactly the type of thing I was expecting to read from her LOL!

We had a baby last Oct. and my Mother in Law came to stay with us for almost 2 months! It was me, my husband, our 8 year old, new baby and MIL in our 2 bedroom townhouse (less than 1000 sq ft)! Needless to say it was a FULL house…lots o sharing

My younger sister and I used to share a room. We had to share the same bed… it sucked for me cause she was always kicking and rolling to my side of the bed. My side of the bed was against the wall. One night while we were sleeping she put both feet on the wall above me and her feet landed on my face. That is a night I will never forget!

Share me! My first hike with my boyfriend, down a closed-to-dumb-tourists-because-the-path-hadn’t-been-cleared-for-the-summer trail in Cinque Terre. Ps. I’m afraid of heights and crab-walked down part of it. That said, I’d do it again for the pictures!

SHARE ME!! My 2 daughters (ages 1 1/2 and 3 1/2) love to share “knock knock” jokes with each other. The funny thing is that they don’t understand how knock knock jokes work at all…so they end up sounding like this. “Knock Knock” “Who’s there?” “Cow” “Cow who?” “Flower”. Soooo cute and actually very funny!

When I graduated college I hiked 100 miles of the Appalachian trail with one of my best friends and we had to share a very tiny tent. Most nights we were fine, but when it rained and the tent decided to leak, we were less than excited to be sharing that tiny space!
