This week’s giveaway comes from a site that so chock full o’ good stuff that it was a challenge to hone in on the perfect freebie items for this week. We’re talking about Artful Home, a virtual window into over a thousand artists’ studios that gives you access to 12,000+ original art pieces – from wall art and sculpture to furniture and accessories. It’s kinda like Etsy, but contributing artists are all professionals who are selected by a panel of art adjudicators.
So we sifted through the site and fell in love with several pillows and, since we couldn’t settle on just one, we’re letting this week’s lucky winner choose from the four pillows shown below: the nature-inspired linen pillows by Mariah Wren or the graphic, eye-chart pillow by Heather Lins. I know, tough decision, eh?
- PRIZE: Your choice of one of the four pillows shown above (valued at $90 – $95).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the phrase “I HEART ART” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: Tell us your favorite piece of art currently in your home, whether it’s a piece of fine art made by a professional or fun art made by a preschooler.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSED: Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One and only one this week.
- ELIGIBILITY: The prize ships to anywhere in the US and Canada.
- THE USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I have lots of pieces I love that all have special meaning. I will say, though, that I love our framed print of Vettriano’s “The Singing Butler” hanging in our living room. To me, it is the perfect depiction of true love, and we received it as a gift during our engagement.

I HEART ART!
I grew up in mountains of Virginia and now live out in the cornfields of Ohio. For years I had said the one thing Ohio was missing was Virginia’s mountain-ous beauty, so, my artistic father decided to paint me picture of the mountains. To me, the picture is perfect beyond words and always transports me back to my VA roots. I have it hanging in my dining room…the most frequented room of the house:) This painting is by far, my favorite piece of art!
p.s. love the blog!

I have 2 children and I have to say that my favorite art is the paintings and drawings that they have created. They have a program at school called “art masterpiece” Every month a volunteer comes (i am one) into the clasroom and teaches about a particular artist as well as a sample of the artists work. Then the children create an amazing masterpiece of their own. I will cherish their artwork FOREVER!!!

I HEART ART!
My favorite piece of art in my apartment are the prints that I framed above my sofa. All it took was a gorgeous piece of wrapping paper and some cheap frames. Put 16 of them up with the exact spacing in between each and it equals cheap, big, unique and gorgeous art!
PS… LOVE your blog!

“I HEART ART” I honestly can’t say I have a favorite piece of art in my house right now – guess I need to work on that, huh?! On second thought (although I don’t know if you’d consider this art) my friend once got me an awesome vase set from Indigo in Charleston, SC – it’s 8 vases in a wavy metal holder. It sits on my mantle and I LOVE it!
