In honor of Father’s Day (yes, I realize it was yesterday, but why not keep the celebration alive?) we’re giving away – you guessed it – TOOLS. But these particular tools are Ryobi TEK4 tools, a series of ten cordless gadgets that look pretty darn sleek, are crazy durable, and run on a long-lasting 4V rechargeable battery. And come to think of it, ladies would look just as good slinging these guys (so they’re not just for dads). We picked our three most go-to devices from the TEK4 line and are giving them (plus an extra battery and charger) to one lucky guy or gal this week. We had church with a dinner following, in honor of all the awesome dads! Hubby won one of the door prizes – a sweet Playmate “The Boss” Cooler! Then we chilled at home for a bit, before heading out to the beautiful beach (the #1 in the US – yeah baby!) for some fun in the sun & surf, and be a spectator at the weekly Sun night drumcircle. Then we topped of the day with a yummy dinner with my amazing Father-in-law!

I drove two hours down to where my dad lives, gave him his presents (a wonderful assortment of color-coordinated boat gear…I couldn’t help trying to pimp his new ride), and then took his new-to-him boat out for a spin (or float, I guess) and put all the presents to the test. It was a great day, since there is nothing better than doing something we both love, together! :)

I live far from my family, but got a card in the mail early last week and followed up with a phone call to both my Dad and Grandpa. My Dad is getting into sailboats lately and recently bought a kit to turn his kayak into one (whatever floats your boat, I say) (pun!) I ordered a little make your own sailboat model kit and it should be on it’s way to him now.
