We gave random.org the assignment again of helping us choose our winner and they chose… Sarah (who could think of 10 little projects that have added up that she could use this for). Congrats Sarah!

Since the early days of YHL, we’ve been buddies with the foursome over at One Project Closer. Ethan, Fred, and their wives Jocie and Kim dish up tutorials, tool reviews and decor posts to help us all get (say it with me) one project closer to our dream house. Recently they’ve launched a series of “Pro-Follows” where the boys tag along with professional contractors to document big projects like building a deck (which we may be referencing soon ourselves). But if that makes you break into a sweat, perhaps their new The Better Half section (where the ladies tackle design and craft projects) is more your speed. Whichever suits you, One Project Closer is helping someone get one hundred dollars closer this week with a $100 prize to the home improvement store of your choice. Now that should suit just about everyone, right?

    GET ME CLOSER to less clutter! I live an an apartment, not a house, so I can’t do major projects, but boy, is it time to maximize shelf & closet space and get those piles off the ground! And I would love to actually hang some things on our walls instead of leaving framed photos in the closet.

    Get me closer… to having a finished house. We need to repaint the living room, bathroom, and bedroom; beautify the backyard; and update the kitchen. Or move.

    I would like to be be closer to finishing my master bathroom renovation! We just moved into our house this month and that’s #1 on our to-do list! :)

    GET ME CLOSER to finishing several little projects around my house. I would use that money to buy a little sander so I wouldn’t have to keep borrowing tools from my boyfriend’s mom to refinish a campaign dresser I recently scored off craigslist, or maybe to buy a ladder so I could reach the top of my insanely tall dining room to finish off the paint job I started a few months ago.

    …to building our deck! We have a spot next to our pool, right off our covered patio, that WILL NOT GROW GRASS. We’re going to build a small deck over it, hopefully sooner rather than later!
