*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***
We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

I regularly stay up late – sometimes almost to 11pm! Because, oh yeah, I love to live on the edge! haha
Rachel says
Edge me!
I feel like I’m currently living on the edge because I’ve become far too comfortable with my 13 month old going up and down the stairs by himself. He hasn’t fallen yet, but I have a sinking feeling that my luck will one day run out.
Maja says
Edge me! Does watching a Jeff Lewis marathon (Interior Therapy and Flipping Out) count as living on the edge? ;)
Nora Rose says
“EDGE ME!”
I’ve been cliff jumping in the Adirondacks and paragliding (which involves jumping off a much larger mountain) in the Alps, but those were in the past. I think my edgiest summer experience will be seeing Snooki at the Jersey Shore. ;)

EDGE ME! Please :)
I don’t really do much too edgy these days. Last year after I had my first child I was diagnosed with melanoma…I have since had surgery an am now cancer free…every 3 month I get a skin checkup…so living on the edge for me is taking care of my daughter, my family and my household! But I wouldn’t trade it all for the world because it makes me who I am…I had pink hair once…lol!

Edge me.
Megan S says
Edge me! Sometimes I live on the edge by eating a whole large crispy crust pizza and don’t share with my husband. I have to have not eaten anything for the whole day, but it’s possible to do it!
Kelly says
Edge me! I live life on the edge by sometimes not doing laundry on Sundays. Take that office job, you might take my M-F but you can’t take my weekend freedoms. Which means sometimes not having clean underwear.
Tambryn says
EDGE ME! I live on the edge by.. okay so I don’t (like many of the other commenters). How about if I could choose to live on the edge I would take a yearly vacation and leave the country for at least 3+ weeks for every year to travel to different countries! I’d see at least 3 new countries every year.

Edge me!
I drank on the job a few times. I’m in advertising, so that’s perfectly acceptable.
Patti says
EDGE ME! The edgiest thing I do with any sort of regularity is probably travel to really crazy places. The “edgiest” place I’ve been is Antarctica!
Clarissa says
EDGE ME! I think having kids is living life on the edge. It shows you just how delicate and scary life can be. Not to mention they can bring you to the edge of sanity on a daily basis!
Elizabeth says
EDGE ME!! We are pretty tame as well but we went parasailing before our son was born and that was awesome!
Mrs Patty says
Edge me!
Torey says
EDGE ME…. nothing exciting here.
Courtney says
EDGE ME! We lead a pretty structured, normal life. I guess living on the edge for us is ripping apart a room and building it back up. It takes some amount of guts since you never know what you’ll find.
Dani says
EDGE ME! Life on the edge for me is raising two young daughters and trying to keep my sanity!
Meghan says
“EDGE ME!”
I don’t really live on the edge on a regular basis- but recently forced myself to stop the car when I saw people throwing away a brand new patio set (cushions still in the packaging). I felt awkward doing it- but I asked if they minded if I took it- they were so glad it would go to use rather than get thrown away- I am so glad I forced myself to do it!
Katie says
EDGE ME!
I live my life on the edge by constantly procrastinating and then freaking out when I have to get something done. I hate that I do it, but I can’t seem to help it!

Michelle M. says
Edge me! I “live on the edge” by messing with my friends be it pranking, sending “anonymous” notes or being sarcastic to the point where they don’t know when I’m being serious or not. Don’t worry, it’s all in good fun and I have very healthy relationships with all of them. I do have a heart =) Someday I’d love to go skydiving though.
Diane says
EDGE ME!!
I once went skydiving but that was long ago. It was a very cool experience and I wouldn’t mind trying it again!
Lesley says
EDGE ME!
Travel is my edge. I like my home life to be very comfortable and secure, but I like my travel to be exciting and adventuresome!
Lisa says
EDGE ME!
My husband and I are finally going on a honeymoon almost 2 years later! We are going to Costa Rica and I am excited to jump off the edge.. on a zipline! Looks so fun!
Melissa says
Edge me!
I live on the edge by not living on the edge? lol We live way out of town, have our own garden, don’t have cable, don’t have anything fancy really (huge old school tv) and we are perfectly happy. :) People look at us like we have 2 heads sometimes when we tell them this.
Lisa F. says
Edge me! The closest I get to living on the edge is teaching 1st – 5th graders each day during the school year. You never know what they will say or do :)
Jane Houghton says
EDGE ME!! Life on the edge for me is getting as many rescue cats or dogs that will fit in my house. Some people think that I am crazy, but I will go over and above most things to save an animal’s life – even risking my own life sometimes.
Colleen says
edge me, please!
Linda P says
EDGE ME!!!!
Jamie says
Edge me!
I’m running my first 5K this Saturday. I have been working the couch-to-5K program, and have truly gone from couch potato to workout fanatic. I can’t believe I’m about to actually accomplish this goal! This is so far from “normal” for me that I’m super proud of myself for actually sticking with it, and I can’t wait to see how this weekend goes.
Jessica says
EDGE ME!
Um.. I pull out the thumb drive from my computer before it says it’s safe to remove. Does that count?

Jason says
Edge me!
Katy K. says
EDGE ME! The last time I lived on the edge is when I studied abroad in Paris for the summer. I had no problem what-so-ever tromping around the city by myself, like I owned the place!
Sarah says
EDGE ME! For me, living on the edge is ice skating without a rail to grab.
Kim says
Edge me. I don’t really live my life on the edge. lol We just bought a house though, so that’s pretty daring, right?
