*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***
We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

Edge me! We went zip lining in Costa Rica back in February! We were going up to 50 miles an hour 500 feet above the jungle floor! I screamed the whole time! :)

I’m pretty tame, but for our honeymoon last November, the hubs and I rode the tallest and longest zip-lines in South America! It was such a rush!
Nicole says
EDGE ME!! I live life on the edge when I stay up past 10 pm on weeknights!!

That’s a funny question. So funny I think I’ll just keep laughing about my non-edgy life a little longer. We live about as far away from the edge as possible – though I have made a new commitment to stop playing it safe with colors in our house and just go for what feels like us, even if it’s not “the norm”! That’s good enough for me!
Eunice says
Edge me! I’ve been dying to try stenciling on fabric, which, considering I’ve never tried stenciling a wall, seems quite risky to me.

I am pretty much a follow the rules, be nice to people kind’ve gal. Having worked in Customer Service in some capacity my whole life (my husband and I run a small business now) it’s always been a priority to me to treat people well. This makes me prone to chatting up to whomever is ringing me up at any given store. I live on the edge by asking particularly friendly sales people if they have any extra discounts available, or if I can combine a coupon I have with other coupons they have. I’m AMAZED at how often being nice to someone, and asking for a discount gets me one! I’ve probably saved hundreds of dollars this way. So that’s me, living on the edge by being nice :)

Probably the edgiest thing I got is driving my zippy little sports car around. I get a couple looks with the car seat in the back. Nothing too dangerous though, esp. when the kiddo is in the car!

This weekend I drudged through about a 1/2 mile of swamp barefoot! I was scared out of my mind that I was going to step on something lurking down in the mud, but I made it through safe and sound! :)

I’ve done lots of on the edge things! I met my husband in Australia, skydiving, bungee, scuba, class V rapids, 2 person plane, and I’m always looking for more! I just need more time and money to travel. :-)

Edge me…driving on busy interstates puts me on edge!

Edge Me! I’m usually fairly tame but I don’t let fear stop me from doing something I really want to do. I’ve swam with sharks (I don’t know how to swim). I’ve been in a shark cage in the middle of the ocean. I came within 5 feet of a jaguar in the wild (didn’t intend to). There are a few others but for the most part I just stay tame with my 3 kids.

Hmm… I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and about 1.5 hrs away is the best roller coaster park in the world – Cedar Point. Usually went once a summer. Now, though, life is mundane and I’m okay with that :).
Rebecca Li says

My edge is very…soft–I run, stay happy, and keep it silly. Not sure that any of those consist of edge living!
Jane N says
EDGE ME! My husband and I are generally pretty tame, but during our pre-baby days, he was a commercial airline pilot, and we got to fly for free on standby. So one Christmas we decided to just show up in the Atlanta airport International terminal and get on the first flight that had space. We ended up flying firt-class to Copenhagen Denmark! We didn’t have a place to stay, any currency or knowledge of the language until we showed up there the next morning. It was terrifying but awesome at the same time!
Sarah says
EDGE ME. Eating ice cream for breakfast!
