We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

Life on the edge… Hmmm. I let my husband drive sometimes?!
Kellie G says
EDGE ME!!!! Well, I did just take my first white water rafting trip. That’s about as edgy as it gets for me. :)
Torri says
Edge Me! I don’t normally live life on the edge, but if something adventurous comes up I’m always up for it!
Nicole F says
Edge Me!! I rode a 50 (mini motorcycle) last weekend camping. I had never been on a motorcycle before and never planned to be on one all alone- but I decided to try it in a big field next to our camp site. It was pretty cool!
Meg says
Edge me! I ripped the tag of my mattress. That’s right. The one that says DO NOT REMOVE.

EDGE ME!
One way my husband and I live life on the edge is through eating unique food – we love to try places and foods that we’ve never had or even heard of before!
Emily says
Edge Me!!!!!!!
I’m not afraid to think outside of the walls of my house. The first thing I did as a home owner was tear down a wall in my living room, we completely changed the stairs, i’m thinking of replacing my garage and barn… so I’m pretty tentative about some other aspects of life but continually trying to improve and change my buildings is really edgey!!
jennifer says
EDGE ME! I know nothing about the edge!
Jenee says
EDGE ME!!! Im currently juggling school and full time work. That, to me, is the edge…of my sanity at least :-)
Britta says
EDGE ME!
I just did our dining room wall in a geometric circle stencil – it was hard work but turned out great! I’d love to win and do a different pattern in my girls room.
Rose says

EDGE ME!
Krystle says
EDGE ME!
I don’t do too much of “living on the edge” but I did spend the weekend “edging” the walls of our kitchen and dining room. Yay for new paint!
Whitney says
EDGE ME! Life on the edge for me is moving from the city to a town of 600 in the middle of nowhere and raising sheep. There’s nothing like delivering a newborn lamb!
Donna says
EDGE ME!
Stephanie says

Stacey says
Edge Me!

EDGE ME!!!
My boyfriend and I (now husband) always wanted to go skydiving, so we finally did the summer of 2009. Little did I know that he had planned to pop the question right before I jumped out of the plane!! He said “will you marry me” and I yelled “yes!” as I was jumping out :) He landed before me and was on one knee by the time I landed :)
Lauren says
Edge me! I live on the edge by being in grad school! Putting time and effort into something that will hopefully pay off!

Elyse says
EDGE ME!
I’m like you guys, except I probably stay home even more since at least you’ve been to the beach.. and hawaii! within the past year. We are considering a road trip from texas to toronto in September though! with two young kids that could be pretty extreme.
Anne says
Edge Me!
Sheesh, probably rolling the dice taking a 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old out in public! Does that count?
Katie says
Edge me! I’m really not much of a risk taker. Biggest risk I took was painting our guest bathroom bright green. Actually, I hate it. Back to neutral… :)

Jenn says
EDGE ME! I live life on the edge by taking improv classes and performing on stage at least once a month. It’s been a great natural high and such a wonderful creative outlet. Yay improvisational comedy!
Amanda W. says
EDGE ME!
We’re living on the edge this year by selling our house (first-time home sellers!) and buying a beautiful but neglected 1938 colonial. DIY here we come!
Michelle Scroggs says
Edge me!

EDGE ME! I spent 2 semesters abroad in college…1 in Ghana, where I backpacked through Togo and Benin with 2 friends! Time of my life!

Something edgy…as in staying up past 10 pm? Now that’s edgy for parents of three kids 4 and under!,
Tara says
EDGE ME! My husband and I love to go rappelling! We once rappelled over a waterfall. It was amazing! Thanks for the great giveaway!

“EDGE ME!”
Nicole says
EDGE ME! My life is so boring. Probably the biggest risk I take is riding my bike in the street when there are no bike lanes present. Haven’t been hit yet; knock on wood!
Jennifer says
EDGE ME! The most ‘out there’ thing I’ve probably done is skydiving when in college… and I think it was a little TOO edgy for me, as I probably wouldn’t do it again! It was scary!

Rebecca says
EDGE ME

EDGE ME!
Yesterday I stood a couple hundred feet off the ground in a small forest fire lookout! p.s. the stairs were super steep on the way up!
Krissy says
Edge me! I wish I was a bit more edgy, but sometimes I like to skip lunch and eat only dessert, wowie!
AngelaL says
Edge me! In 14 years of marriage, my husband and I have had 12 different addresses in 3 U.S. states and 2 foreign countries! And no, we’re not in the military. :) We just like to move. Does that count as edgy?
Emily says
edge me!! Well, I jumped off a cliff into a volcanic lake once. Some Italian boys were taunting me, so I forced myself to do it. I faltered at the last minute and jumped too close to the rocks….my friends thought I was a goner. That was pretty much the edgiest things I have done!!
Beth B. says
EDGE ME!
Ummmm…taking a 4 month old anywhere in public is about the edgiest thing I do. Off to feel like a boring loser now… :)
