*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***
We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

We travel as much as we can. Nothing makes us appreciate our home more than to return to it after weeks somewhere else.

Edge Me! The riskiest thing I’ve done lately is travel with an infant :)

I’ve been contemplating a couple of their designs for about 6 months – this would be so awesome.
As far as being on the edge, I do a lot of different dance styles (belly dance, swing dance, etc), but my favorite, and most dangerous, is fire dancing! Sometimes also called fire spinning or fire poi :)

I literally live on the edge…of the country! By the beach in South Florida. Any closer to the edge and I’d live in the ocean. I also always use that top step on the ladder, the one that says in big huge letters “DO NOT USE AS A STEP”. It’s so awesome up there.

EDGE ME!
The most risky thing I do is get in my car every morning to navigate the crazy Washington DC-area traffic. That’s plenty of adventure for me! :)
Somer says
EDGE ME! I have 3 more days left of the p90x 90 day challenge which I think is edge worthy. After I finish this up I’ll start cycling again and then start TurboFIre 90 challenge. Clearly I like workout challenges. That’s edge worthy, right?

I’ve slogged toward my PhD for the past 5 years (done in 4 months!) while working full time, raising a 4-year-old, and renovating 2 houses with my hubby. I am at the edge of sanity, let me tell you!
Melissa says
EDGE ME!!
I’m like you guys! I’ll take that second dessert, or better yet, brownies for breakfast!!

EDGE ME! I’m pursuing the thrilling adventure of life as a quilter after leaving my day job for craftier undertakings ;-)
Laurie says
Edge me! Please!
Autumn Stan says
EDGE ME! My latest “living on the edge” venture was buying 5 old mismatched dining chairs at a flea market the other day. I plan to refinish them all the same color and use them in the dining room in our new home (which is being built this summer).

EDGE ME!
I live on the edge whenever I stay up past 9 PM. :) I work in a high school and have to be up pret-ty early. I joke that I’m an 80-year-old lady in disguise.
Lisa says
Edge me! I live on the edge by undertaking a basement renovation which was WAY over my head. Carpeting is being laid down today, so the end is near. These stencils would be the icing on my cake, er, basement.

Living on the edge for me is seeing how long I can hold off on watering my house plants before things get sad looking…
Kimberly says
EDGE ME!
I’d say the (rare) nights when I’m awake past midnight on a weekday is living on the edge these days!
Crystal says
Edge me! I’m a pretty cautious person, but I like to try new things. I’m planning a trip to Europe next year and that’s about as crazy as it gets for me.

Kudos to those who dabble in living life at the edge. Me? Not so much!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Emily says
EDGE ME! Living on the edge is getting a new piece of furniture full price instead of on sale! Ooohh scary!
Sarah B says
EDGE ME!
Um…I’m probably about the most boring person you’ll meet…that and I’m too scared to take big risks.
Lindsey says

Staying up past 10 on a weekday is about as edgy as this girl gets!
Barbara Emmanuel says
Edge Me! My edgiest act in the past week was jumping off the end of the dock (repeatedly, over and over) into the murky waters on vacation last week–everyone else climbed slowly in using the ladder. I LOVED jumping in! How crazy is that?
Rachel says
EDGE ME! I eat raw eggs and rare meat!
Rae says
Edge Me!
About the riskest thing I have tried lately is going out to eat with two toddlers while wearing white.
Teri Martinez says
EDGE ME! With a almost 2 year old in the house, things don’t get very edgy. My attitude gets edgy after 3 night-time wakings.
Valery says
Edge me!
Um…I don’t think I’ve lived on the edge lately…maybe speed dating because those things scare the crap out of me…
David says
“EDGE ME!” A night on the town with my wife would be living on the edge these days.
Jon says
EDGE ME!
As my wife and I are both teachers, life is as far back from the edge as possible, but…the three best things about being a teacher is June, July, and August, right?! So during the summer, my wife and I love to take trips to the local state park , Starved Rock, to enjoy the real cliff edges there.
Stesse says
EDGE ME! Um. I’m an engineer. I’m so far from the edge, I’m practically on the other edge!

EDGE ME!
Okay now I am only revealing this to you’s guys because I trust you. The former me (pre babies and husband) used to “drag race” – illegally – cars of all kinds up and down The Palisades Parkway late at night with Cake “The Distance” blasting out of my stereo. How I am alive today, eligible for ANY kind of car insurance, and able to tell this tale I will never know. Oh my children, may you never learn how crazy your mommy ever was! :o) Hahaha….or rather, mmwaaahahahahahaha….
My best, Lynn
*This is the one, I can feel it…
Skye says
EDGE ME! Letting my newly 2 year-old run around the house in real underwear (As I hold my breath and continuously ask him if he needs to use the potty).
Amanda says
Edge me! I’ve gotta admit, I’m more your guys’ style when it comes to living on the edge, but I guess I do get pretty adventurous when I travel. I like to get off the beaten path, which means I’ve occasionally found myself on a rickety old bus, surrounded by people I can barely communicate with because of language barriers, just praying that the bus is going where I think it’s going and I’m not going to get horribly lost…
DJ says

Hmm. no edges here. We stick to a routine and remain relatively boring people. lol.
