*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***
We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

EDGE ME…I live on the edge by breastfeeding my daughter in random places. Airports, gas stations and maybe even in a thai restaurant bathroom. Whatever I got to do so that my husband and I can still be social and spend time with our friends :)

Edge me! Maybe the most edgiest thing I’ve done is graduate, get married, look for a place to live and move while both of us searched for a job all in the same week. It worked out great though. Now 11 years later we are expecting our 1st child in July!
Anne says
Edge me! I painted our master bathroom a dark (for us) blue. And I LOVE it!!! Would look even better with a stencil…
Shannon says
Edge ME!! I go rollerblading with my girls. Every time I lace them up I contemplate how and what sort of resources I would need to do my job with a broken leg/wrist/arm and weigh out the risk to benefit ratio. So far, blading with the girls always won out. Figure might as well plan ahead cause it will probably happen one day.
Mary K says
EDGE ME! I can fly a plane!

Driving a little too fast is probably as close to living on the edge as I get.

All our walls are white and we are resolutely non-embellished, so for us, living on the edge would be stenciling anything….I think we need some edge.

Mandy says
EDGE ME!
I can’t say do a whole lot of risk taking, but my friends and I have been known to hop into the car and drive to NYC for the day without much notice, which I guess it a bit adventurous since it’s a four hour drive each way.
Brittany says
Edge me! I’ve been skydiving twice, which is definitely a thrill, but nowadays thrills include eating raw cookie dough, and enjoying a large bowl of ice cream snuggled with my husband on the couch while staying up late (until 11) :)

I’m not sure how on the edge this would be for most but a few years ago I took a helicopter ride from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. It was beautiful. I can get a little claustrophobic at times so it was somewhat edgy for me but I managed and had a great time.
Kassy says
Edge me! Can’t say that I take all that many risks, but we just made a big move so I guess that counts!
