We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

EDGE ME!
I rarely venture out toward the edge, but we are making a cross-country move to our dream state this summer! Pretty daring for my blood! Away from our families & friends to a state where we know TWO people. Would love to spruce up the new digs with an awesome stencil :]
Kat T says
Edge me! I climbed up 200 feet in the air on a sheer cliff face a few times. And I used to play rugby in college. Nothing edgier than having 4 giant women knock you to the ground!
Jessica says
Edge me! I sometimes go 5 miles over the speed limit. Whoop whoop!
Amanda C says
Edge me!
My husband strongly suggested yesterday that I attend a conference being held 6 hours away from our home by myself since he has to work. We scrambled to find a sitter for our 4, 6, and 8 year old and today I drove all the way by myself with our 7 month old and met up with friends here who are also attending.

Edge me! Life on the edge for me was when my husband and i decided to move out of state on a whim. Although we are glad we decided to move back home :)

My husband and I just bought our house and are in the midst of remodeling the interior. We are having SO much fun and are inspired by your blog every day! The stencil would be so outside my comfort zone and make our space so much more interesting!!

EDGE ME!
Other than my edgy appearance, I’m not too much of a risk-taker. However, in general, my outlook on life is to have no regrets and to love and forgive even when people don’t deserve it….how’s that for a rebel?? :-)

Living on the edge for me is not putting an extra diaper in the diaper bag and hoping I won’t regret that later!
carshena says
Edge me! I live life on the edge by putting myself in a uncomfortable position such as singing in front of a room full of people I don’t know. I think it makes me grow as a person when I do things that make me feel uncomfortable. I conquer things I thought I never could do!
Ellen says
EDGE ME! We’re taking a leap of faith. My husband is taking his dream job, and we’re searching for a new house.
Melissa Arnold says
EDGE ME!! I left my hometown where I had lived for 47 years and moved to another state, took a job and hated so I moved back home to my old job. OMG. and all in three months. whew!

I am pretty conservative in my day to day life so I go all out when I am vacationing… I’ve been skydiving, cliff jumping, hot air ballooning, swimming with sting rays, zip lining etc… Good times!

EDGE ME!
Life with 3 young kids feels on the edge some days; we’re looking forward to taking a lot of family hikes this Summer; often in territory where we, as humans, enter the food chain so I suppose that’s about as edgy as it gets for us. ;)
Andrea says
EDGE ME! Part of our family lives in Peru, so we go there pretty often for visits, and generally travel a lot for work. Normal for us, but trips to Vienna and Lima are pretty wild for many of our friends…lucky us, we know!
Shawna says
EDGE ME!! I just returned last week from living in Ghana, Africa with five kids for three months. Having to boil water for EVERYTHING, doing laundry by hand and not having power some days doesn’t get any more on the edge than that for me :)
Nadine says
Edge Me.
Hmm…i’m pretty lame…lately my edge living would be parking in the “danger zone” at the baseball field for convenient sake with hopes that my car won’t get hit by a foul ball.
Jessica Brooks says
EDGE ME!
The most “on the edge” thing I’ve done lately is buy a house!
Shannon says
Edge me! I live on the edge by flying half way across the country with an 11 month old at naptime. Ugh.
Stephanie McCollam says
EDGE ME! Ahh, can’t think of anything too crazy since I’m with my two little ones all the time! I’m not very crazy anyway in terms of skydiving or something! I have had to live on the edge though in regards to talking with people I may not know well because of my new business! This has been hard since I’m more shy!

Edge me! I can’t really think of anything I do that is edgy. Driving from Tennessee to Arizona and driving that with a three month old?
Lisa says
Edge me! I moved my family (husband, kids, dogs, cat, two cars and an entire household) 3000 miles this year. That’s enough life on the edge to last me awhile…….
Marika says
EDGE ME! I’m not exactly someone who lives on the edge, but I’m spending 2012 trying to push the edge (for me) – cut my hair short, going to events I wouldn’t normally go to, and traveling to Europe by myself!

Edge me! Sometimes I don’t wear my seat belt when I drive 5 min down the road :/
Gabby says
EDGE ME!

Edge me!
I decided to just “go for it” in my crafty/scrapbooking office and paint my table/desk a soft purple and the walls a dark grey. I love the contrast and girlieness of it all-and with a 6-year-old little boy, I sometimes need a little bit or girly!
