*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***
We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 – that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!
Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?
- PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

Edge me! My most recent home project involved staining our upstairs hallway. How exactly do you do that when your bedroom and bathroom is at the far end of the hallway? You do sections (b/c really what other choice do you have?) And you take quick running leaps to get through the parts that are (mostly!) dry! Quite amusing to watch I’m sure! Thanks for the chance to win a great prize.

EDGE ME! I don’t live too much on the edge either other than having 3 crazy kids, but I like to do crazy things like rock climbing, cliff jumping, etc. (or at least I used to. I haven’t gone in a long time). I would love to sky dive some day too. So maybe I have hopes of living more on the edge?

Once in a while I let my potty training 2 year old go out without a pull up. If you’ve ever been pushing a shopping cart leaving a stream of pee in your wake you know that is life on the edge.

Not too much thrilling stuff happening here… I painted my powder room a deep navy despite my mother-in-law thinking (and voicing) that it wasn’t a great idea (she’s come around now that it’s done). Livin’ on the edge. ;)

EDGE ME! :)
We moved from one end of the US to the other while I was 39 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child! That was CRA-ZY! I was alone with 2 young kids and a newborn for 3 months while Hubby was stuck in our old place selling the house we left. That was enough living on the edge for me…for awhile at least! LOL.
Dani says
EDGE ME! As a mom of two little girls, I don’t live on the edge too often but I did let my 5 year old stay up a half hour later to finish watching Peter Pan with me while we ate popcorn and milk shakes! Ewww! Edgy! I know! lol!
I love your blog! We are currently in the process of buying our first home. I can’t wait to get in there and make it my own using tips and inspiration from your blog!

Kelly says
EDGE ME! I drove a scooter on populated roads for the first time ever a few weeks ago, which didn’t feel street legal to me the whole time, as I’ve only ever had a car. Was a lot of fun! I kind of…accidentally…crashed too, lol. (tho I didn’t get hurt, and I crashed when I’d gotten back into a quiet neighborhood). Mixed up the brake and speed levers when someone darted in front of me and I panicked… >.< Oh, and I petted a stingray that same week too! Fun week altogether. :)
