I have one small heart on my right foot – to remind me to always follow my heart :)

TATTOO ME!
No tattoos on me, but I like the idea of having a meaningful one…some day. My husband is VERY passionate about fishing, and has been since a very young age. I want him to get a small fish hook tattood on his wrist, which would be easy to cover with a watch (for work)!
Devon Strahm says
Tattoo Me! My husband and I talk about getting tattoos that have meaning but we haven’t made any decisions.
Jessica says
I love tattoos…on other people. I’m afraid of something so permanent because I change my mind so frequently. TATTOO ME!

Tattoo Me!
I have two small tattoos that I got when I was 18 and I kind of regret them now. They’re both hidden in regular clothes, but one can be seen if I wear a bikini at the pool or beach. Lesson: think long and hard before marking up your body!

Tatoo Me! I have a tatoo on my lower back that i got as a teen. My hubby and I were chatting about tatoos yesterday and how our kids will someday be embarrassed that their mom has a “tramp stamp”

TATTOO ME! No tattoos for me…I did go through a “piercing” stage in college and had my tongue, traigus, ear cartilage, and two holes in each ear lobe.

No tattoos for me!
Lauren says
TATTOO ME! Although I’ve thought about getting a tattoo off and on for some time, I still haven’t bit the bullet. But the ideas that have sort of stuck are some kind of visual representation of the Bhuddist (?) saying/mantra “mind like water” or the hebrew text that means “this too shall pass” around a finger (like Solomon’s ring, where the saying comes from). But I think I may be too much of a commitment phobe to go through with either.
Elizabeth says
TATTOO ME! I’d never get a tattoo. I just never had that desire.

No tattoos for me. I’ve never wanted to put something that permanent on my body.

TATTOO ME!!!!!
I have one tattoo on my right hip. It is a claddagh ring colored in with gold, green and white. It was important to me to celebrate my heritage as well as have one I could easily cover-up. I want to work in a conservative field and visible tattoos would do me a disservice.
Emily says
TATTOO ME! A snowflake on my ankle always reminds me I am from snowy northern Minnesota. :)

I’ve never gotten a tattoo and never will because, um, ouch.

Heather says
TATTOO ME! I have wings on my back. They’re a small pair that I designed. I’d like to make them larger and more elaborate than they currently are. I’d also like to get a wing on one arm and some Icarus wings on my ankles.

Tattoo me! I’m so not a tattoo person. But I do think a wedding ring tattoo would be kind of cool.
Haley says
TATTOO ME!
I don’t have any tattoos- I’m not convinced I would like any one design/ phrase enough to look at it everyday for the rest of my life.
rebecca says
Tattoo ME! I have one – that I got for my 30th birthday. I’ve always wanted one, but waited until 30 to be sure I didn’t do something I would regret. I love it. And let’s just say I’m not sure I’ll be able to wait 30 more years for another one.

Tattoo me! Tattooless so far!

Trisha Milheim says
I have a tattoo on my lower back of a flower design that my best friend when we were 16 drew, I can’t believe to this day that we got tattoos at 16 and can’t believe the tattoo artist agreed to it!

TATTOO ME!
I have three and am planning my fourth.
1) a tiny fairy on the back of my left hip that I picked off a wall at 2 a.m. when I turned 18. Totally lame, I know, and forever after my friends called me The Ass Fairy.
2) a tiny orange blossom on the top of my left foot that I got to commemorate an incredible three months spent with two best girlfriends working on the play Blood Wedding by Fredrico Garcia Lorca. Orange blossoms are a much-referenced image in the play, and so we got matching orange blossom tattoos. Unfortunately it just looks like a daffodil, so kinda lame.
3) a giant tattoo on my right hip/lower abdomen of two hummingbirds feeding off a honeysuckle vine, which I got one week before my wedding because a) my husband loves humming birds and b) he told me I couldn’t have any more tattoos. I showed him, I really did. (This is a gorgeous tattoo, one I actually planned, thought about, researched artists for, worked with the tattoo artist to create the design, and as a result, I adore it.)
4) I want the words “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” tattooed either on my left foot or underneath the hummingbirds. Husband will be so irritated, but I don’t care. It ain’t his body – right? (The words are a line from The Summer Day by Mary Oliver. That line pierces me right through. A perfect reminder that we choose our lives – we choose how we live them. What is it I choose? What do you choose?)
Amy says
TATTOO ME! No tats here… I learned my lesson with a belly button ring. Those kinds of things don’t age well : )

please do not TATTOO ME. I really hate tattoos. The first time I saw my fiance with his shirt off I saw his, awful, hideous, terrible tattoo on his chest. “What’s that?” I asked him with a disgusted look on my face. “That’s my tattoo I got when I turned 18” he replied. When I asked him what it meant (it’s just a weird tribal symbol) he said it has no meaning, he just liked it. “Oh” I said. Luckily I’ve been able to look past this flaw and I am marrying him (and his hideous tattoo) this June!
Sarah says
TATTOO ME!!! No tattoos here but I have always jumped back and forth with the idea. I just would hate to see what it looked like in 30 years…

Tatoo me! I have one. I got it the day after I turned 18, high on all my new freedoms. :) It’s on my back, so I never see it, and forget it’s there, until someone asks me about it.

TATTOO ME!
I have a butterfly on my lower back (my act of rebellion when I was 18) tht I regret like whoa.
I’m contemplating getting “Staying Golden” tattooed on my hip bone though. I want something that combines Harry Potter & Golden Girls. The “o” in “Golden” will actually be a golden snitch…
Yes, I’m a dork.

I have a list of tattoos that I eventually want to get, including rat paw prints in memory of my little ratties and a black and white picture of my little jack russell in the style of ryan berkley.
