Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:
Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).
So here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

HEAT ME UP!
Our house’s older heat pump doesn’t work so well when the Virgina winters get cold, so we’ve been spending lots of time cuddled on the couch in sweaters, under blankets, with several large warm furry dogs. They make amazing space heaters!

You can’t see our couches under all the blankets that we have accumulated!

We live in WI, where winter seemingly lasts 7 months out of the year. We have a lot of blankets around the house and rely on a lot of hearty stews and soups to pull us through.

I regrettably once mentioned to my grandmother how cold I always am—and now I’m swimming in thick comfy socks with “grippies” on the bottom so I don’t slip on my hardwoods. Gotta love her.

We bought our home last year without a working furnace – so we are living like cavemen! We are expecting a baby in march and have a space heater that pretty much doesn’t work unless you stand right next to it. (Our dog has figured this out and posts up right next to it for most of the day – haha). Plus those electric heaters end up costing a fortune on the elec bill. booo. Trying to save money for the $5000 central furnace but it’s tough with a new baby on the way.
Please oh please let us win this one!

It’s been cold here in NYS but we’re used to it. I bundle up with lots of layers — big puffy coats and Uggs. It’s not about looking fashionable – it’s about looking WARM! Oh and I’m 6 months pregnant, which has managed to add an extra layer of “warmth.” I’d love to win – we have an addition on our house that isn’t heated well, but it’s a beautiful room and we love to spend time in there. It’s just what we need! Thanks for the opportunity!

I actually haven’t been keeping very warm. My bedroom doesn’t have heat, so once of these heaters would be so wonderful!

Well living in Northern Indiana, keeping warm in the winter takes a lot of creativity to cut expenses…believe me it is tempting to want to adjust the thermostat. But I keep lots of blankets in the family room (leopard pattern of course) so each family member has their own.

After our blizzard this past winter, our family found that a heated game of Monopoly always serves to keep us cozy when we are snowed in our home (which gets no county plowing!)

I have been eyeing electric fireplaces on craigslist! What perfect timing it would be to win one. Here in the Denver area it has been so warm we only have had one, yes one real snow storm this season, last week. The temps dipped to the single digits, but we were nice n warm staying inside and playing with all the new Christmas toys!! Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m staying warm with a great new electric blanket from Lands End that has dual warming zones so my wife can put hers higher (setting 6) and I can keep mine lower (setting 2).

HEAT ME UP! We’ve really improved our home’s energy efficiency this year. We removed the asbestos from the attic and blew in 40 bags of insulation. We also took advantage of the tax credit and replaced our old electric furnace with a heat pump. But even with the new furnace our master bedroom is always colder than the rest of the house. An electric fireplace would be just the thing to take the chill out of our bedroom.
Travis says

I vowed to make a little more money this winter so that we could just keep the heat at a comfortable setting and not freeze!

We’re in the process of having our heating ducts tested for asbestos. The ducts in the attic were accidentaly cracked, and with a toddler in the house, we don’t want to take any chances by using our heater. In the mean time, we’re using a space heater and blankets to keep us warm :)
