Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    The best items I ever scored at Target (and believe me, I’ve scored plenty!) were whitewashed glass vases with a red rim! I got a smaller one and a larger one for…(Wait for it)…$15 bucks altogether!! So now they are wrapped up safely, waiting for their debut in my living room come next spring when I get married :)

    I love to wander past the clearance end caps and scored a great deal on gift wrapping supplies (tags, tissue paper, wrapping paper) about a year ago that I am still using to wrap gifts!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!

    This is going to sound crazy, but my ALL-TIME favorite Target purchase was a blue tie-dyed baby tee my senior year in high school, in 1995. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that thing and nearly cried when I finally admitted I wasn’t really a baby-tee wearing hippie.

    More recently, my fave Target purchases are the cute and affordable clothes and the BEST compilation CDs they sell at their little stations.

    I’M A TARGET LADY! I have a beautiful silver serving tray from there that fits perfectly on top of our upholstered bench/coffee table/ottoman. I LOVE TARGET, and lucky for me, they just opened a new one about a mile from my house! <3

    Target me!

    I shop at Target so frequently it would be difficult to pinpoint one specific item. I guess it would be my gorgeous Father Christmas snow globe that goes on my mantel every holiday season…but I also love that whenever I travel I end up in random cities’ Target stores to pick up everything I forgot to pack.

    Goodness… favorite thing? Favorite recent thing are some cute little leather baby shoes for my little girl. Her first outing was to target so mama could just enjoy browsing :-)

    Welp…I’m the only one right now (that probably will change over the next few minutes).

    Best score at Target? Halloween candy discounted 50% off. Those Skittles and Butterfingers and Crunch bars never knew what hit ’em.

    They also have a good selection of manly outdoor stuff as well.

    I’m a target lady! I love Target, I have a serious addiction. My absolute favorite thing that I have gotten there (recently) is a houndstooth storage ottoman that we are using as a bench for the dining room table! LOVE it!

    I’M A TARGET LADY!!

    I absolutely LOVE target. If I could live there, I would. My favorite thing I’ve purchased there would probably be two things: their incredibly chic looking banana leave baskets and a super cute jewelry bowl. I have three of the baskets that I used to store DVDs in but now they are currently stored under our DIY dresser turned entertainment center for looks. And that jewelry bowl is also so cute only Target would carry it :) I tell myself every time I go in that I’m only getting what I came in for, yea, that NEVER works in the end!

    I’M A TARGET LADY! So far my favorite has been two hammered copper bowls my husband and I turned into vessel sinks. We just drilled a hole in the bottom, popped in a drain kit they sell at Lowe’s, and voila! $25 vessel sink. Best hack ever ;)
