Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My wife hates to sweep and this would make my life sooo much easier. I could maybe get my chores done in half the time :)

    CLEAN ME!!

Every spring, I thoroughly wash all of my fans, windows, window blinds, and baseboards. I also empty my china cabinet to dust everything in it, and then I polish the few pieces of silver we have. I also pull out the stove and fridge and vacuum and wash behind and underneath them.

I have a binder outlining things to do Yearly, seasonally (In Mn thats only 2 times a year Summer and Winter hehe) and the weekly chores. My spring chores consist mostly of emptying every cabinet, storage, closet to clean then re-organize. I kinda secretly love doing it!

Spring means cleaning out the garden shed, weeding the yard, and planting all our yummy vegtables for the summer! The doggie messes (hair, chew toys, and muddy prints from winter/spring rain) are almost year round!

    CLEAN ME!

We just bought a new house that was built in the 70’s and sold to us by the original homeowners. So we have been BUSY cleaning out the dusty, dirty, and just plain gross nooks and crannies throughout the entire place. Seriously, I don’t even want to talk about some of the stuff I’ve found. My project last weekend was to clean and paint all the wooden shelves in the upstairs hall closet so that I can use them for purse and blanket storage. Unfortunately I only got to prime the shelves before the weather turned nasty outside and I had to stop. Gotta finish that soon!

Also, we need to clean out the guest bathroom (that’s rarely used). We didn’t clean it when we moved in (and it wasn’t cleaned when they moved out).

My spring cleaning….first of all its to get rid of all those “junk drawers.” Everything seems pretty light and airy in our home until you look in some of our famed “junk areas.” I usually clean these out once or twice a year, but once and for all they are going to be cleaned out and uncluttered! Love the post and would love the bissel!

    CLEAN ME!

We just bought our first house… that came with 40 years of dust!!! Yuck! So our spring cleaning plan is to vacuum, dust, most, and de-gross our place from top to bottom… so I can sleep at night. :)

Last weekend I worked on cleaning and painting the upstairs closet shelves so I can store my nice, clean blankets and purses in there. We really need to deep clean our guest bathroom but it’s just not used much so it hasn’t been done yet.

De-cluttering is a weekly/monthly routine in the house, but the other areas get over looked through the year!
