Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. I take each room one at a time and clean out stuff that we don’t use/need/want. I then take it to the goodwill or trash can. I spring clean the kids rooms and play room about every 3 months. Toys seem to explode after birthdays and Christmas time.

I totally LOVE my dogs, yes 2, golden retrievers! Hair all over the house galore!!!!! I clean and clean and it is back the next day. I try to get them to brush themselves but they just don’t listen…. I am on my second vacuum and still haven’t had the best luck in the world keeping it totally picked up. Boy how I would love to have a vacuum and broom that would do the job. I usually do a fall and spring deep clean of the house which will probably be within the next two weeks. I also will be re-arranging my closet and the two downstairs as we have accumulated more stuff recently from family that has passed. We are looking to get our house back into gear so we can go out and play out side this spring and summer. Now only if I can keep Ellie (one of our Golden’s) from pushing her nose on all of my newly washed windows…. I tell ya.. Kids. :) Marnie

I get ready for Spring by cleaning each wooden blind on all our windows with warm soapy water. I also “dust” the walls with a wet washcloth as they get a nice coating of winter grime on them as well! It feels so good to stand back and appreciate the freshness of a deeply cleaned home!
