Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

    I love to use the notes app on my iPhone for notes on my baby, to do list, gift ideas, and shopping lists! Easy to write, nice to have in one location that is always with me and easy to delete!

    Being a math teacher, I always have a purple pen in my hand or pocket, and some paper in my pocket or purse or tote or….
    Every night I compile my pieces of paper and use colored pens to categorize my list.

    Pilot me! I am forever writing down lists, notes, and reminders, and vastly prefer pens. I also keep diaries by hand.

    PILOT ME! I love their gel pens. I like to write notes on a small, long notepad. But the pages have to be able to tear out very smoothly. ;)

    My kids are always “borrowing” my pens, and I have to keep a stash of sticky notes where they can’t reach them! I think it’s time for this mama to get some new ones!

    PILOT ME!

    Putting pen (or pencil) to paper works the brain in a different way than it does with a keyboard. Does that mean I should be brilliant because of the number of notes I have jotted on post-its, on the back of envelopes, and on my students’ assignments?

    Pilot me!! I’m a sucker for a nice handwritten note/list. Call me crazy but I get more motivation to accomplish things when they’re written in nice handwriting on pretty paper with a pen : )

    PILOT ME!!

    I love a good office supply run! My main pens tend to be the ones I steal from church. Hey, I use them as ‘ministry tools’ – I let people at work have them and leave them for the server if I ever go to a sit-down restaurant! I also tend to keep mechanical pencils so I can work on our homeschooling schedule. Gotta keep it changeable!

    PILOT ME! I have to keep all of my notes on my phone, otherwise they get lost in the tornado zones of my house/car/purse. I only take handwritten notes at work meetings, and then I prefer to use a Pilot gel pen – ultra fine tip only!

    PILOT ME! I have lists going for every area of my life. There are pen/pencil/highlighter cups everywhere so there’s always a tool within reach.

    Mostly use the computer if I’m by it for notes and writing stuff down – but I carry a little notepad and scribble things down that way too. Either way works!

    Pilot Me! Have been a Pilot user since high school. Always carry one of the gel pens and the mechanical pencil. Should have seen the huge variety of pilot pens and mechanical pencils in Asia!

    I’m old-fashioned and still love paper lists! I could use the pens, notebooks,and Target gift card as I’ve just recently started taking college classes again!

    PILOT ME!

    I use Pilot pens, actually! They’re my favorites. I usually buy a pack of the black ones for notes (I keep them in my desk drawer, in my purse, in the kitchen, etc). I also always buy a pack of the multicolored ones (red, black, blue, green) when I’m editing a novel–each color is for a different revision.

    I’m all about the pen!!! It is so hard for me to finish my notes if the pen doesn’t write well. I’m all about stealing pens from just about anyone if I love them.

    PILOT ME! I use my phone calendar/note-taking apps frequently, but I still rely on a good old pen and sticky note for “insurance.”

    PILOT ME! As a college student I stick to the old ball point pen and paper method for taking notes. The ball point pen method is also perfect for scratching things off your to-do list too!

    PILOT ME! I love to write notes to my husband on a big roll of paper we have hanging in our house…but for on the go my notes app is the way to go.

    Pilot Me!

    As a former elementary school teacher I may or may not have a slight addiction to school supplies! I LOVE cool pens and pencils. As for note taking, it’s a good ball point all the way for me.
