Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!
This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.
- PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

I always use pencils, when I was in H.S. I used to get points taken off my essays because I refused to write in pen. Boy I hated that teacher:)

Pilot me! I always keep a pen in my car. It’s proven to be helpful beyond belief!

Pilots Precise V5 Extra Fines just happen to be my all time favorite and go to choice! To-do lists on apps just aren’t the same if I can’t have the satisfaction of crossing them off, so I’m an ol’ fashioned planner and notebook gal!
Shellie says
Pilot Me!
I ALWAYS have a pen at hand. I have 3 in my purse, one next to the couch, in the car and a pad and pen front and center at my desk….I wouldn’t get half the things I do done if I didn’t write it down first!

PILOT ME!
I just started following you this morning based on some other blogs I was reading – I can’t remember where I came in from but I think it was some sort of money based blog.
Anyway, I made myself a little organizational tool out of fabric to hold a pen – Pilot is my favorite too, their gel pens especially – and a pad a paper for taking notes, my zippered pouches to organize cash for expenses, and my calculator. I scribble down notes on my pad of paper about what I will need for groceries to keep my families expenses in check.

PILOT ME! :) I’m in Nursing school and is it just me or is shopping for school supplies the best part about being a student? Must be something about those fresh notebooks and pens!
Sara says
Pilot me!
I grew up working in my mom’s office supply store and am totally addicted to taking notes on old fashioned ledger or graph paper.

Nothing is better than a mechanical pencil to doodle the alphabetic while attending business meetings!
Lorie Smith says
PILOT ME! I’m pen and paper all the way…wish I could jump on board with the digital stuff, just can’t seem to do it.

I somehow always end up with an assortment of pens in my purse from different places (i.e. the bank, post office, dentist). As for jotting down notes I’m always short on paper and end up using old receipts.
Nicole L says
“PILOT ME!” I always use pencils, I feel like things change too often.

I always have a list going somewhere, it would be a pen and paper or on my phone if I don’t have anything else handy.
Christine says
PILOT ME!
Pens, pencils, quill, crayons – it all works as long as it gets written down somewhere! As far as I’m concerned, if it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist. Thank you for the fun giveaway-opportunity! I love YHL!
Jessica says
Pilot me! I use the notebook on my phone or write a list and snap a pic of it so I don’t need to remember where I put the paper later. With 2 kids 2 and under I need lots of reminders.
Kathleen E says
Pilot me!
I carry a pen and pad of post-it notes with me!
Becca says
Pilot me! I love pencils because I’m spelling challenged but I hate how they smudge, so anything that needs to have staying power gets written in pen! Trying to switch to my iPhone for lists but there is something about having that physical piece of paper that makes handwritten lists superior to digital!
nicole says
PILOT ME!
No matter how attached I am to my digital products, I will never be able to stop using a planner – so this would be perfect! Nice pens and a great planner get me all hot and bothered!
Gross.
Katie says
PILOT ME! I use mostly pencils but the ONLY pens I buy are Pilot G-2 07! Black and red, for some notes and grading/editing!
Sarah says
Pilot me! I love having fun colored pens around. I try to be digital, but there’s so much satisfaction to making a list & crossing things off of it. I particularly love Pilot’s G2 pens. They are almost always on my Christmas wishlist.
sarah says
PILOT ME! I’m a sucker for a smooth-writing pen. My handwriting is better with one and it adds that extra level of satisfaction as I cross things off of my “to do” list.
Ashley says
PILOT ME!!
I do love a good pen and paper. I’m never very good at keeping lists on my phone or digitally.. I just forget about them. It also helps that I can cross it off my list if it is on paper and use fun colored pens! :)
Sarah says
Pilot me! I love pens and paper and stationary. My husband and I fight over the “good” pens, and we both have to hide them from the kids, who are arts and crafts geeks — especially the toddler, whose medium of choice is felt tip on drywall. I would love to have a stash all my own! :)
I use my smartphone for work items, but nothing beats sitting down to write a good old fashioned list you then get to cross off.
Lindsay says
Pilot me!
I write down EVERYTHING. People make fun of me because I use an old fashioned pen and paper planner, but I have to!
Alison Brister says
Pilot me!! I love my inky pilot g-2’s!! In every color!
Angie G. says
PILOT ME!
This is right up my alley. Though I take some notes digitally, I write tons (personal and for work) with a pen/pencil and notebook. And office supplies make me giddy! Thanks for the chance to win!
Brandy says
PILOT ME!
It’s gotta be a pen, and the wrong pen can almost ruin an otherwise nice day. I’m also a fan of plain white paper, no lines. I write every which way and usually throw in a few sketches to help me remember.
Christy says
Pilot me! Love pencil and post it notes.
Anika says
“PILOT ME!”
I tend to use post it notes compulsively – they are all over my apartment. But I don’t forget my errands or to-do list, so for now I’m saying my system is effective.
Thanks for hosting such an awesome giveaway!
