Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!
This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.
- PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of

PILOT ME!
I have a love affair with office supplies. :) I love the elegance of fountain pens, and for daily writing i prefer ballpoint with the absolute finest tip possible. I draw with drafting pens, which are SUPER fine and make shading a breeze.

PILOT ME!!
Please! ;)
Between my husband and I, we have a collection of pens and notebooks. My favorite part of school was always taking notes and using up a notebook, and I would have to say that the pen is mightier than the pencil.
Chel says
Pilot me! I use whatever pen I have handy, usually a conference freebie, but I have dozens of Steno Notes tablets with the spiral top. They’re a handy size and easy to make neat columns for a to-do list. I also have a bunch of post-it notes lining the bottom of my computer monitor at work.
Kris says
PILOT ME!!!
I use whatever happens to be handy…usually that is a crayon that is lying around.
Marie Libassi says

PILOT ME!
I am horrible for scraps of paper and post-its crammed everywhere. I try to organize myself digitally, but haven’t been able to master it yet.
Paula Rodriguez says
PILOT ME! I am a die hard note taker. If I write something out it is immediately committed to my memory. You can usually find me with all of my pens from the day left in my messy bun.
Abby says
PILOT ME!!! This girl is ADDICTED to Sharpies…the fine point ones…I use them for everything! But I also love me a good gel pen…ummm, glittery pastel “Jelly Roll” pens anyone?! Hello middle school circa 1998!

Christi says
PILOT ME!
I general like to make lists on my iPhone because I cant keep up with a piece of paper. But when I do write it down it’s got to be on my magnetic pad on fridge so it stays in one place!
Nicole says
PILOT ME! I write down everything… and will tear up the paper and rewrite it if I am not happy with how it looks. Don’t ask, I have no idea why.
Jessica says
PILOT ME!
I either take down notes on my iPad–handwritten, I might add, using an awesome stylus–or I’m handwriting them in a Moleskine (my notebook of choice for many years) with either an extra fine tipped gel pen or a fountain pen. I might be a stationery and pen addict. :-)
Liesel says
PILOT ME! I’m all about pen and paper…whatever is closest.
Andrea says
PILOT ME! Not only do I love pen and paper (just don’t think as well onscreen), I go seriously analog with my love of fountain pens. Too many household expenses to start seriously collecting, though. Yet.

PILOT ME!
At work I use a pen, paper and post-its! At home I’m more digital using my iPhone or iPad. Sometimes I add something that I’ve alread done to my list just so I can cross it off!
rachel says
pilot me!! love moleskin notebooks and micron pens!
caitlin says
PILOT ME!
I like using a pen and notebook. I have entire notebooks filled with to-do lists haha
Nicole says
PILOT ME!
I use my “notes” app on my iPhone to jot down anything from blog ideas to potential baby names for my future kiddos (in like 5 years), but there’s nothing like a good old fashioned pen and paper to write a list down and then physically cross things off when you accomplish them. I tend to checkmark things AND cross them off…double the satisfaction!
I also have post it notes with band names or song titles everywhere. I find them in pockets, in my purse, stuck to mirrors – you name it, I’ll stick something to it!
Lynn says
PILOT ME!
I absolutely love pens and like you guys am very particular about the pens I use. Not any ballpoint pen will do! I only recently stopped using a traditional fountain pen and have started using fine point pens for all of my lists, Christmas cards, etc. I always think I should start list keeping on my iphone but time after time come back to good ‘ol paper lists!
